Chapter 4: New Beginnings

Chapter 4: New Beginnings

Zue was determined to make things right with his wife, so he picked up the phone and dialed her number. He knew that it was a risk, considering that they hadn't spoken in quite a while, but he hoped that she would pick up.

After a few rings, Sea finally answered the phone.

"Hello?" she said.

"Sea, it's me, Zue," he replied, trying to keep his voice steady.

"Zue, oh my god," Sea said, sounding surprised. "I wasn't expecting a call from you. Is everything okay?"

"I'm fine, Sea. I just wanted to talk to you," Zue said.

"Okay, what is it?" Sea asked, sounding cautious.

"I was hoping we could meet up and talk," Zue said.

"Talk?" Sea asked, her voice tinged with confusion. "About what?"

"I don't know, Sea. Just...talk. Catch up. It's been a while," Zue said.

"Are you sure everything is okay, Zue? You sound...different," Sea said, her voice laced with concern.

"I'm fine, Sea. I just realized how much I miss you, and I wanted to see you. So, will you meet me at the Starbucks on Sunset and Vine? Around 11 am?" Zue asked.

Sea hesitated for a moment, but eventually, she agreed.

"Okay, Zue. I'll see you there," she said before hanging up.

Zue breathed a sigh of relief. He knew that it was going to be a difficult conversation, but he was ready to face it head-on. He quickly got dressed and made his way to Starbucks.

As he walked into the busy coffee shop, he heard the sound of phones, coffee machines, and people chatting all around him. He spotted Sea sitting at a table near the window, and his heart skipped a beat.

She looked beautiful, as always, and he couldn't believe how much he had missed her.

"Sea," Zue said, approaching her.

"Zue," Sea replied, her voice guarded.

Zue took a deep breath before taking a seat.

"I know that things have been rough between us lately, and I just wanted to talk," Zue said, his voice full of sincerity.

Sea looked at him skeptically.

"What is this about, Zue?" she asked.

"I've

realized that I made mistakes in the past. I embarrassed you in front of your friends, and I'm sorry. I want to clarify things with your friends as an apology," Zue said, looking at Sea with sadness in his eyes.

Sea was taken aback by the unexpected apology from Zue, but she could see the sincerity in his eyes.

"I...I appreciate the apology, Zue," Sea replied, still feeling bewildered. "But why are you doing this now after all this time?"

"I've realized that I've taken you for granted, and I've made mistakes that I deeply regret. I want to make things right, and I hope that you can forgive me," Zue said, with a hopeful look on his face.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

Sea took a moment to consider Zue's words. She could see the regret on his face, the pain in his eyes, and she knew that he was sincere.

"Okay, Zue," Sea said finally, "I accept your apology. Let's move forward."

Zue smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. They spent the next few minutes catching up, talking about their past, and reminiscing about their happy memories.

As they talked, Zue could feel a warmth building up between them, a spark of hope that maybe they could rebuild their relationship.

"I've missed you, Sea," Zue said, looking at her with affection.

"I've missed you too, Zue," Sea replied, a small smile on her face.

They spent the time talking, laughing, and sharing stories like old times. They both knew that they had a long way to go and that it wouldn't be easy to rebuild what was lost.

But as they parted ways, Zue felt hopeful, hopeful that they could start anew, hopeful that they could create a new beginning together.

As he walked out of Starbucks, he looked up at the sky and whispered a silent prayer, thanking the heavens for giving him a second chance to make things right.

Zue and Sea got into Zue's beautiful, sleek red supercar. The engine roared as if announcing its presence to all when Zue turned the key, and they drove towards the park where they used to spend time together.

Sea looked how happy and energetic Zue looked when doing his car and how he was like a kid who got his gift for the first time. She fondly smiled with some lingering sadness in her eyes.

As they neared the park, Zue took a deep breath and decided to talk about what was on his mind.

"Sea, I can't believe that we're finally getting married. I know I screwed up in the past, but I couldn't be happier that we've found our way back to each other," Zue said, his voice filled with joy.

Sea smiled at him, her eyes sparkling with happiness.

"I know it hasn't been easy, Zue, but I'm so happy that we're together. And I'm so excited to spend the rest of my life with you," Sea replied.

Zue reached over and took Sea's hand, giving it a gentle squeeze.

"I promise to make it up to you, Sea. To love and cherish you with all my heart," Zue said, his voice full of sincerity.

"I know you will, Zue," Sea replied, smiling at him.

They arrived at the park, and as they walked towards their favorite spot, Zue felt a sense of peace wash over him.

They sat on the bench, looking out at the serene landscape ahead of them. The sun was setting, casting a soft orange light over the park.

"Sea, I can't wait to marry you. I want to spend the rest of my life making you happy and being your partner in everything," Zue said, his voice filled with love.

Sea, although surprised by the sudden confession, leaned over and kissed him, her hand still in his.

"I can't wait either, Zue. I love you so much," Sea replied, her eyes shining with happiness.

As they drove home, he felt a sense of contentment and joy that he had never felt before. He knew that their future would be bright, filled with love and happiness.

As Zue reached near Sea's house, he couldn't help but appreciate the size and grandeur of the elegant mansion. It was a beautiful symbol of Sea's family's hard work and success throughout generations. The mansion was surrounded by lush greenery and a magnificent garden. It was obvious that every detail of the house had been planned with precision and care.

Zue respected the hard work and dedication put into the house by Sea's ancestors, and he knew that it was a representation of all their hard work and sacrifices. As he looked at the house, he couldn't help but feel a sense of honor towards Sea's family for preserving and maintaining such a beautiful mansion.

"It's breathtaking, Sea. Your family has preserved and passed down an incredible legacy," Zue commented, admiring the house.

"I'm glad you appreciate it, Zue. My family has worked hard for generations to maintain it," Sea replied, with a hint of pride in her voice.

Sea got outside and moved towards her home with one of her worries appeased. She looked at her house and remembered the reason why they met first.

Zue smiled as he looked over to where Sea was standing, happy to have seen the mansion of Sea's family. He knew that this day would always hold a special place in their relationship history.

As Sea stood near her house, she turned to Zue and said, "You know Zue, your family has been really helpful to mine over the years."

Zue turned to look at Sea, a look of surprise on his face. "What do you mean?" he asked.

"Well, don't you remember the reason we met a few years ago, when my family's business was struggling, your family's company stepped in to provide support and resources to help us get back on our feet. Without that partnership, our family might have lost everything we've worked so hard to build," Sea said, a note of appreciation in her voice.

Zue's eyes widened in realization. He had no idea that his family's company had helped save Sea's family business. He was so forgone in appreciation of her beauty back then and tried his hands on getting to know her more that he missed the whole point of why their parents met back then.

"That's amazing, Sea. I had no idea. I'm glad that our families were able to help each other out," Zue said, feeling proud of his family's contribution as well as shame because he himself seemed to have neglected his family legacy.

"Yes, it was truly a partnership. Your family's resources and support gave us the chance to recover and continue building our legacy," Sea replied, looking up at her beautiful family mansion.

Zue felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing that his family's company had done the right thing by helping Sea's family in their time of need. He knew that their partnership would continue to strengthen and flourish, benefiting each other for generations to come.

As Sea and Zue continued to talk, they found themselves on the subject of their families and how they had built their wealth and success.

"It's amazing what our parents have accomplished, isn't it? How they've built such a successful company all on their own," Sea commented.

Zue felt a sense of pride fill his chest as he thought about his parents and their journey. "Yes, Zainkalato started as a small trading company for Chinese goods, and now it has grown into a giant conglomerate of banking, trading, and technology in the US," he said.

"It's incredible how they did it all on their own, without any outside help," Sea replied, marveling at the perseverance and determination of their parents.

Zue nodded in agreement as they continued to talk about their families and their respective journeys.

"Our parents taught us the power of hard work and dedication. And it's because of them that we are where we are today," Zue said, his voice filled with gratitude.

Sea smiled, knowing that her family and Zue's family had much in common. They both valued hard work, dedication, and perseverance. And it was because of those values that they had achieved so much.

"I'm proud of our families, Zue. They've accomplished so much, and they continue to inspire us every day," Sea said, with a hint of admiration in her voice.

"As am I, Sea. Our families are what make us who we are today, and I wouldn't have it any other way," Zue replied, his voice filled with sincerity as well as tinge of regret.

As they parted ways, Zue and Sea knew that their families had played a significant role in their lives. They knew that their futures were bright, and they were ready to face whatever came their way, just like their parents had before them.
