Chapter 6: Not even that mad...

One Month Earlier

The quest log took me to a run down restaurant at the far side of town. The lights for the sign were blinking as if it was on it’s last pair of legs. The sign was barely holding onto its hinges, looking like it was about to fall at any moment's notice. There didn’t seem to be any life surrounding the place at all.

I checked my quest log again and read its description.

Fuel Pump Quest

Please head towards the [Fuel Pump] at the far side of town. The manager of the establishment is in dire need of help and requires your immediate attention. For completing the quest you will be awarded with [Gold] and [Exp]

After finishing the [Fuel Pump Quest] you will be award an [Otomech] with your preferred playstyle.

Finally I was at the end of this long quest line chain. The end was near in sight, now all I have to do is just complete this and I’ll get to finally play this game how it was meant to be played.

I walked into the restaurant, the door creaked as I opened it. The place was pretty much empty besides a few patrons sitting around the place.

“H-hello? I’m looking for the manager.” I said as I walked around the place looking around to see if the manager was around. I asked around the place again to see if anyone would respond.

Nothing.

All I managed to get out of this place was a few murmurs from drunk patrons who were obviously passed out from the drinking they did the night before.

I got up to the counter to see if anyone was behind it. Not a person in sight.

Where the hell is everyone?

On the counter I noticed a sign that read, “Ring for assistance.”

Wow that’s pretty cliche

I rang the bell.

Nothing.

I rang it again.

Nothing.

I rapidly tapped on the bell.

“ENOUGHHHH! I hear yah.”

A figure staggered through the door behind the counter. She had unruly hair that was curly and flowed down to her shoulders. She had black hair with crimson red eyes. My eyes were immediately drawn to her large chest. Her tight short sleeved shirt wrapped around her curves. Above her head was a text I was familiar with.

NPC Riza

By the looks of it I could tell the developers really spent a LOT of time on crafting the perfect figure for her.

“Uhh...are you the one I’m supposed to talk to?” It was really difficult trying to remain eye contact with her.

“I guess so...” She yawned as she stared at me up and down. She slowly crawled over the counter and flung her arms around me. “Are you going to help me?” She looked me straight in my eyes, her chest pressing up against me.

“I...I...yes.”

Her eyes twinkled as she smiled. “Fantastic!” She got off me and crawled back behind the counter disappearing back into the door. After a few minutes she appeared fully dressed with some luggage in hand.

“Thanks for looking over the shop for me, I needed a break” She threw me a wink and handed me the keys to the shop and made her way to the exit.

After a few seconds being dumbfounded I made sense of the situation.

“W-wait! What do I have to do to complete this quest?”

She stopped right before the exit and placed her finger under her chin and thought about it.

“Hmmm...” She continuously tapped on her chin with her finger.

“As long as the restaurant is still running when I come back, we’ll count it as being completed.” She smiled and left like the wind.

“...”

“R...Ra...RAMA!”

“H-huh??” I snapped out of my flashback and noticed Sheena was tugging at my shirt. “What is it Sheena?”

She pointed towards the entrance. There was a crowd gathering. From what I can make of it, at the center of the crowd was a guy who had a girl on each arm.

“Is that...” I squinted at the entrance.

“It’s one of the Six Gears Rama!” Sheena was excited.

Ohh...even NPCs are excited about this?

The guy and his company made their way to a table. He sat down and kicked both his feet onto the table and leaned back in his chair.

“Where’s the service?” The guy shouted.

Sheena started to make her way before I stopped her.

“Let me handle this.” My guy’s intuition aka gut was telling me not to let Sheena close to him. I made my way towards the table.
