As more and more dragons descended from the sky, there was little I could do anymore. The tactics I used in the previous battles were obsolete in the face of all these dragons.
“Pull back Rama, I miscalculated this event. I didn’t think this would be a [World Event]. I thought this was just an [Event Boss]”
An [Event Boss] was a special monster that dropped a special loot box that has the chance of giving the player unique items and gears.
However, a [World Event] was an event that included an [Event Boss], that required massive amounts of players to work together and beat it. The minimum amount of players required to complete the [World Event] in a timely manner was 200 plus players.
Unlike a normal boss battle in a dungeon, a [World Event] was timed. The rewards for the event were rare item drops that were given to all the members who did damage to the [Event Boss]. However, whoever killed the boss would get a legendary one of a kind item.
The time limit for this [World Event] was one hour.
I drove the vehicle away from the heat of the battle.
“Man, we are clearly outclassed here Rama.”
“...yeah.”
Sad [https://forum.royalroadl.com/images/smilies/sad.png]
As I was driving away, the dragons kept chasing us, there was no chance to rest. Sheena did her best to shoot at them, but the turret’s damage was laughable, like a fish trying to slap a bear. Jack provided us with backup cover. His shots were able to one shot the dragon minions.
“How...is that possible.”
Each player received 5 skills points every time they leveled up. Since the level cap of the game was 60, the total amount of skill points one can receive was 300 points. However, this game had a deep level of customization with over hundreds of skills to choose from. One skill needed 30 points to be maxed out.
A high level player would of course have a higher damage range and more skills, but to one shot these monsters was something out of this world.
“Are you curious Rama? Let me enlighten you on my greatness and why I am one of the Six Gears. First off, I maxed out the skills ‘Eagle Eye’, ‘Sniper Mastery’, ‘Expose Weakness’, ‘Piercing Bullet’, and ‘Bull’s Eye’ which unlocked the [Unique Skill] ‘Deadshot’”

10 second cooldown
Unlike most RPGs that had a linear skill tree where the best skills had to be earned after putting points into the prerequisite skills, [Otomech Full Drive] let anyone choose which skill they wanted right off the bat, so the best skills were available at the very beginning.
What made this system so special was its [Unique Skill]. A [Unique Skill] could only be unlocked when the required skills were maxed out in the normal skill tree, almost like a recipe. These skills needed only 10 skills point to be maxed out.
“But the most important item I have is my weapon the [Phoenix’s Beak].”
He sent his item’s info over onto my interface.
In [Otomech Full Drive], item rarity was divided into five different color text for its name. The normal items had white colored text, above average items had green text, rare items had blue text, unique items had purple text and legendary grade items had dark orange text.
Jack’s weapon had dark crimson red text.
Dark crimson red text items can only be obtained after crafting and improving a legendary grade item. Crafted items were the best end game gear anyone could get their hands on, but required an insane amount of rare materials.
The [Phoenix Beak] had a special attribute attached to it, which set all sniper skills to only a .25 second cooldown, which was essentially 0 seconds.
“Holy shit...” I couldn’t help but just be in awe.
“Exactly and as the Crit King of this game, the 25% chance is essentially 100% chance for me.”
Jack was killing these monsters in seconds. It almost seemed like what we did was not even worth it.
“If you were this strong couldn’t you have done this yourself?”
“Technically yes, but my setup has a fatal flaw.”
“Which is?”
“You think I’d tell you so easily?”
As we reached safety, the amount of dragons being summoned was insane. The sky was flooded with dragons and not a single piece of the sky could be seen. It was clear that Jack was being overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of the monsters, but his quick rapid fire shots kept them at bay from advancing any further.
Twenty minutes have passed since the event started.
Jack was slowly losing the battle of attrition as his shots couldn’t keep up with the amount of waves that were forming. But as things seemed dire multiple explosions rang throughout the sky.
“Man...I couldn’t finish this in time...”
As I looked towards the sky I could see three other Otomechs appear. Each bringing a group of 50 Otomechs with them.
“You’re alone? No wonder you got here so fast.”
“Haha you’re way too greedy Jack.”
“Looks like your plan backfired Mr. Wilder. Now let the real players show you how it’s done.”
