You know that old mythos, the one where if you remain a virgin until thirty then you become a wizard? Well what if I told you that there was more fact to it than originally thought. Huh? Are you calling me a liar that’s spouting out bullshit? Well I do understand where you’re coming from, after all even I didn’t believe in such things back then. At least not until it happened to me.
You see I actually heard this from God after I had died. The cause of my death wasn’t something like getting hit by a vehicle, being killed by a hostile being, or even by some accident by God. Nope, my death was good old natural old age. While my seventy-four year old life wasn’t anything exciting, at least it wasn’t filled with danger either.
Anyways, after I had died I met the being known as God. From him I learned the truth. Apparently remaining a virgin until thirty does grant a person’s soul some mana. The only thing is that this amount is quite miniscule, so much so that the person won’t even know they attained anything of the sort. Thirty was the starting point, the older you got the more mana you would receive in the end.
If the mana isn’t used within a certain time, around a lifetime, then it simply vanishes. However if compounded with more mana then it will remain for another lifetime or two. As such those who are virgins throughout multiple years of their lives can build up a steady mana pool in their bodies. This was the situation that had happened to me.
Apparently, according to God, the mana within me had compounded beyond the threshold Earth could handle. If I were to reincarnate on Earth then my existence alone would end up causing natural disasters due to the disturbance my mana causes. To prevent the apocalypse due to my rebirth, God had decided to send me to another world, one that naturally has a lot of magic already in it.

As for how long I was a virgin, God told me that I remained one in all of my lifetimes; All 1,273,456,798 lives in fact. It also wasn’t just up to thirty; I was a full-fledged virgin in all of my lives. God was so impressed and moved by this that he began to cry. As a reward for this God decided to let me keep my memories when I reincarnate, stating that so long as I remain this way it will continue to be so.
I still remember being given a thumbs up from God as I began my reincarnation. Thinking back on it God also had a worrisome vibe as I was being sent off. Perhaps he was worried I may fail and end up being taken in by a woman in the other world. There’s no need to fear God, I shall protect my chastity with all that I’ve got. Such a gifting and benevolent god he is.
I recall the bright warm light that enveloped me and my vision whisk me away to my new home. I was so excited to begin my life in another world. Of course at the time I had no idea how wrong things were about to get for me and my new family…well, ex-family.
Chapter End
----------------------------------------
Well, here it is. This story came about due to sheer boredom and too much free time. I've read a variety of reincarnation-type novels where the main character gets turned into something other than human, sometimes even an object too (Have a story like this too, with a serious and non-serious version).
A fair warning though, the chapters I write tend to be fairly small and range around 1,500 words each. This chapter acts more as a prologue to the story, hence its shortness. So assuming I don't get burned out on this story (I tend to burn out on projects frequently) and my procrastination doesn't kick in (I'm lazy) then I hope to continue and see where this story will go.
Also, I tend to write fairly quick (and re-write paragraphs a lot) so grammatical errors may appear.
