June felt like his heart was being constricted and the tears in his eyes couldn’t stop flowing. He had trouble breathing and the searing headache made him feel faint. What he felt at that moment was indescribable.
Maybe he felt lost, lonely, abandoned, and pain. June was alone just like that. The person who he called father had left to a place so far away that it was unknown. The person who he could go to for his problems or when he wanted to play was gone.
He felt the desolation of the forest and in his mind he couldn’t have believe what had just happened. He was young and losing the person who he had the closest connection with cause him to have utter grief and sorrow, but at the same time he felt scared and worried.
It was too much to contain for a young boy like him. In the end he fainted on the forest floor. His body was curled up in a ball and from his sleeping face, anyone could see the sadness and pain. At the time, the forest was abnormally quiet. Gloom was in the air and the sun had just set. The scene was just like a scene from a painting.

-In the Vern kingdom-
After Boa and June left Vern, Jackol had immediately gone back to his study room and opened the letter.
“A time of chaos will come in the near future. I will soon be awakening June’s inheritance and considering where June came from and his talents, he is most likely a high level bloodline. Maybe he even has a supreme bloodline. I have delayed my ascension for many years. The amount of power that I need to use to remain here is not a small amount.
To awaken June’s inheritance, I will be weakened considerably if his bloodline is a high level one. June is a child that has always been in my protection. His reliance on me is natural for he is still youngling. Jackol… I am very worried for his future. He is my son. No matter if we are blood related or not. I can only lament on how he will grow up all alone if the worst happens. I may not be able to take him to Vern in my weakened state but I’ve planned ahead. I will show him a path that I’ve made to vern just for these desperate times. If all goes well… he will be in your care in about two weeks. Fate can only decide. We are mystical beasts and the love i’ve given June is unnatural. Do not try to find him Jackol. If he is not able to get to Vern on his own then he is not strong enough, both mentally and physically. The road I made will contain dangers far beyond what he is capable of but I believe that he will not die. It is funny to think that I, a great tremor bear will have such baseless beliefs but I will stay true to them. It saddens me to think that I will probably not be able to see June grow. I’ve grown too attached to the little fellow. My reluctance to part with him is strong but maybe it's for the best for both him and I.
Jackol, if I do ascend, my successor will show himself. At that time, the other mystical beasts will not sit still. We are prideful beings. If it comes to the worst situation where another mystical beast does rise to be the new king of the forest then Vern might be affected too. I believe that it is best to not get close with humans and so the like. That's why I chose a successor that holds true to my beliefs. If another mystical beast rises then it might be difficult for Vern so I warn you.” -Boa
A feeling of dread washed over Jackol as he read the letter once again.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
“Is this all that he wrote?! Nothing more?!” Jackol knew that it would be bad if Boa had actually ascended. Vern would most likely be caught up in the midst of the fight for the forest. What’s worse was that Boa’s successor might not succeed and another mystical beast will take over. If it is an ambitious mystical beast then Vern will definitely become another piece of land in the forest. Jackol needed more information as to who was Boa’s successor or about the hidden mystical beasts that have been hiding beneath Boa’s feet.
There was also the matter with June. Jackol really wanted to search for June but Boa had told him not to. “Ugh, if fate wills it then June will reach Vern in about 2 weeks or so.. If he does not get here by that time then… I cannot do anything about it” sighed Jackol as he sat down. He had more pressing matters to deal with. If the worse did come and Boa had really ascended then Jackol wanted to be prepared.
=====================================================================================
The 2 weeks passed by and June did not show up. The worse really did come. The Boa forest was filled blood from its inhabitants. The area around the cave that June and Boa had stayed in was decimated. There were no trees or animals, only dirt and sand was left by the violent fights. Vern was safe because it was outside of the forest and the fights were mostly in the innermost parts of the forest so the outer parts weren’t damaged that much.
Jackol was relieve but was soon devastated by the turn of events. In the end, Boa’s successor died in the hands of a mystical beast that had been in hiding for a long time.
As soon as the mystical beast killed off its other competitors, it left for Vern and decimated the kingdom. Unfortunately for Vern, the mystical beast who had taken over was a Three Horned Tiger. The Three Horned Tiger is a Middle leveled bloodline mystical beast. Normally, being the king of the forest would be just a dream for this mystical beast but time gives one more than enough to grow. Being under Boa’s rule for more than three thousand years, the Three Horned Tiger was no doubt the second oldest living mystical beast in the forest. Tigers normally have a strong sense of territory so when it found out that a pitiful human settlement was close to the borders of its territory, it left to destroy that settlement.
What had actually lead the Three Horned Tiger into destroying Vern wasn’t only because the kingdom was near its territory. It was also because of the anger that had built up inside of it when Boa was in rule. Being under someone for more than three thousand years while being unwilling would definitely make a prideful mystical beast mad.
Jackol’s countermeasures for this was not enough. He had died with his kingdom, struggling to the very end. If Boa had killed all those who he thought could oppose his successor then the situation would have been much better. In truth, Boa didn’t have a care for what would happen to the forest or Vern. He would have ascended a long time ago if it had not been for the time spent trying to get a son. He had only warned Jackol because Jackol had done a few favors for him here and there. It was also a way to express his feelings about June.
Boa was truly a lonely person. He had spent long years trying to get a child with his own blood but he had failed miserably. With June by his side, he was no longer lonely but he had left so soon. It wasn’t only June who had a wounded heart. But, fate willed it and so, they were separated.
