Chapter 4 - Back to School as a Girl

Chapter 4 - Back to School as a Girl

A dream.

"Wake up, sis..."

"...guu..."

It was just a dream.

"Jeez, sis, we're going to be late for school if you keep sleeping like this..."

"...mm..."

That's right.

I'm the ruthless yakuza leader of the Shi-kai, the young uprising yakuza gang that had already managed to take over the whole of Shinjuku in a little over half a year.

"I'm going to help you get dressed then, sis..."

The buttons on my pajama shirt slowly started to unbutton beginning from the top to the bottom. It wasn't until three buttons had gone undone and I felt something tugging at the fourth button that I groggily opened my eyes.

Seeing Saya sitting on top of my hips on the bed with furrowed eyebrows whilst she was trying to undo my fourth button, I screamed,

"WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH--!!!"

~x~

"What on earth was that in the morning, Kaya?" Mom asked. "You made me think a robber had broken into the house..."

Dad laughed, "It was probably just a bug in her room."

Sitting at the kitchen table, munching down on the breakfast that mom had cooked, my face was still steaming from this morning's surprise.

...

Also, the fact that I was dressed in a girl's school uniform probably didn't help much either.

A cool unfamiliar breeze seeped between my thighs, that were barely being kept warm by the thin skirt that I was wearing, and I shifted my posture uncomfortably.

My chest felt tight underneath my shirt, naked skin rubbing against the white fabric.

I was a man for god's sakes.

Why did I have to put up with this humiliation...?!

"Jeez, sis... did you really have to scream like that?" Saya sighed besides me, a sore bump on her head from when she fell off the bed. "We used to always change together all the time before..."

Yeah...

No, that wasn't happening.

"Kaya, you sure eat a lot more since you came back!" Mom said from the kitchen, wearing a floral apron. "This must be your third bowl now!"

"Of course," I replied, "You can't get stronger if you don't eat!"

Hang on, that wasn't the right reply.

Luckily, mom just laughed it off whilst dad and Saya was busy watching some drama show on the television.

"Ooh, we should head off, sis!" Saya said, breaking her eyes away from the television and getting up from the kitchen table, "Otherwise, we're really going to be late!"

Dad glanced up at the two of us and suddenly, his eyes started to water, freaking me out.

"U, um... d, dad...?" I said, blinking at him. "Is something wrong...?"

I hope I hadn't kicked him too hard yesterday. I had held back a lot of power but it's hard getting used to this body...

"I, it's just..." He sniffed, "Y, you two... look so cute in your school uniform...!!"

"Hah...?"

"I never thought I would ever get to see this day in my life...! Since the day you had left, Kaya, I thought you two would never get the chance to go to senior high together...!"

Dad kept crying from the kitchen table, while I stared at him in bizarrement next to Saya.

"Sorry, sis..." Saya laughed, seeing my reaction, "Dad has always been very fond of you..."

"I, is that so...?" I stammered.

I guess this guy hadn't seen his daughter in a while judging from the looks of it.

I shouldn't be so harsh on him...

"Kaya, give daddy a hug before you go to school...!" Dad cried, getting up from his seat and approaching me with outstretched arms. "You haven't given daddy a hug since you came back...!"

"H, ha ha..." My face paled and I took a step backwards towards the door that led out of the house. "Maybe next time, dad... We don't want to be late to school, do we, Saya...?"

"Fine then, how about a quick kis--"

I grabbed Saya and the door slammed shut in his face.

~x~

Walking to school with Saya, shivers were still running all over my body from the close call before we left the house.

No matter how bad I felt for the guy, there was no way I could force myself to give him a hug, let alone a kiss.

The very thought of the idea made me want to gag out my breakfast.

"Sis, are you okay?" Saya asked from my side, glancing at me. "You look kind of sick..."

Saya was dressed in the same school uniform as me -- a white collared shirt, a scarlet tie, and a maroon blazer with the school's emblem on the front pocket. At the bottom, her shirt was tucked underneath a navy blue skirt that fell over black stockings running up her legs.

Damn...

I had never actually gotten to see Saya in her senior high uniform since I had left school before the end of junior high.

She was even cuter than I remembered.

...

If you spot this tale on Amazon, know that it has been stolen. Report the violation.

That was also why it was such a struggle to get changed this morning.

Saya's sister was as cute as Saya herself, although her sister had a more mature face and slender facial features.

Kaya's eyes were sharper than Saya's, both being marigold, giving off a more serious vibe in comparison to Saya's light and carefree aura. Their cherry pink hair was also done up differently, with Saya usually tying her hair up in ribbons, whilst Kaya had longer hair that flowed down naturally to her shoulders.

Seeing Kaya naked in the mirror in the morning was almost like seeing Saya naked.

I palmed my face, feeling my cheeks heat up.

"Sis...?" Saya blinked at me. "If you don't feel well..."

"U, uhm--! I'm fine, Saya..."

Now's finally my chance to talk to Saya alone!

What I needed to do was find out more about Saya's sister...!

If I could find out more about what happened to Saya's sister, then maybe that will lead me to finding out how to get back into my own body...!

"H, hey, Saya..."

"Hm? What is it, sis?"

"You know... about when I was gone..."

"Ah, you mean when you were in America?"

"I, I was in---y, yeah... when I was in America... uhm..."

We stopped at an intersection and Saya breathed out a sigh, strolling in front of me before coming to a stop.

"Sis... did you ever..." She hesitated, her eyes staring down at the ground timidly, "think about me... when you were in America...?"

"Wh, wha... what are you saying? Of course, I did, Saya..."

"Liar."

"..."

Saya glanced up at me with a pout, "You never once called me in the two years that you were gone..."

"No way..."

Come on, Kaya...

What kind of a sister were you....?

That's just plain savage.

"We, well, I'm here now...!" I laughed sheepishly. "That's what matters, right...?"

"Hmm... I guess..." Saya frowned, then stopped, "Do you still remember what you said to me before you left? Right before you left home that day...?"

...

"...You forgot..."

"Of course I remember! Who doesn't remember what their precious little sis tells them! Hahaha!"

"..."

"Anyways, we're almost at school now, right? So we should think about what to eat for lunch! And the fun lessons--"

"Ah--!"

Saya was staring down at her bag, looking for something with a panicky face.

"I... I think I lost something..." She said hesitantly.

"What is it?" I asked, relieved that the topic was changing. "Maybe you left it at home--"

"No--! I wouldn't...! A, anyways, just go to school first, okay, sis?!"

Saya turned on her toes and started running back the way we came from. "I'll see you in class, okay!!"

"S, Saya...!"

...

I stood alone at the intersection, watching Saya's cutely bobbing figure disappear at the corner of the street.

Well... I was already almost at the school. So I guess I should just listen to her and wait for her there. I might be able to find out more about Saya's sister while I was there too.

It was lucky that the senior high Saya went to was right next to our old junior high, so I at least knew how to get there.

~x~

Walking into the entrance school gates where other students were also beginning to flow in, a gloomy sense of nostalgia washed over me.

School...

The thought of me being here again never crossed my mind...

"Hey cutie!"

A group of delinquents standing inside the school gates called out to me.

"You new here?" One of them asked. "I could had sworn I would remember a babe as gorgeous as you."

The group started laughing until I shot a death glance at them, causing them to freeze up like mannequins.

"Oi... you fuckers, are you talking to me...?" I stood up tall, leaning my head back to glare down at them coldly.

...

That was when I realised I couldn't.

Fuck!

I'm not in my original body!

The group of boys were silent for a moment before they all bursted out laughing aloud, tears coming from their eyes.

"What the hell was that...?"

"Have you been watching too many yakuza movies, little lady...?"

"That was too funny...!"

...

My jaw was clenched shut, my teeth grinding in a quiet seething rage.

Calm down, Takeru...

You have to remember that you're not in your own body anymore...

You can't do anything that will hurt Saya's sister's image at school...

Think about Saya...

Tensely, I turned away quietly, walking the other way like a frigid robot while the group of delinquents howled in laughter behind me.

"H, hey, where are you going, little lady?"

"Come back! I will even let you have the first punch!"

"Hell, you could give me a beating after school if you'd like!"

The jeers faded in the distance as my pace quickened, knowing that I was only one insult away from utterly destroying the group of boys into oblivion.

When I was finally a good distance away, standing behind the school building, I let out a scream, punching the wall next to me.

"Th, those mother fuckers...! If only I was in my own body, they would all be dead right now...!" My shoulders shook violently. "Fuck... I need to control myself... for Saya's sake...!"

Glancing around and seeing that the place was deserted, I rummaged my bag angrily, pulling out a packet of cigarettes.

Lucky I had snuck out yesterday in the dead of the night.

At least I could still have this moment to myself...

"K, Kaya...?"

An unfamiliar voice called out from behind me, and I turned to them, already not in a good mood with a lit cigarette in my mouth.

A girl with shoulder-lengthed blond hair and clear green eyes stared back at me, her long dark eyelashes fluttering as she blinked.

"What is it...? What are you staring at..." I snarled, puffing out a ball of smoke before the realisation sunk in that smoking as a high school student was grounds for expulsion.

"Kaya..."

"U, uhm--! This is...!"

There was no way I was going to get expelled on my first day of school...!

I threw the cigarette away, fanning the air around me wildly.

"Oh my god--! Kaya, it is you...!!"

The blond-haired girl ran into me and before I could protest, pulled me into a tight hug, her soft chest squishing up against me.

A scent of sweet vanila and roses filled my nose whilst I tried to put one and one together.

This girl...

She knows Saya's sister...?!

"Kayaaa!! Why didn't you tell me you came back?! Do you know how worried I was when you told me you were going to America...?! Oh my god, when did you started smoking?! You've got to quit that! I will help you! We have so much to catch up on!! You've got to tell me everything about your trip--Oh--!! Did I tell you about Sora?! You know that gu--"

"H, hang on...!!"

I grabbed the blond-haired girl by her shoulders, pulling her off from me with a mildly flushed face and twitching eyebrows.

She was quiet now, staring at me with round quizical eyes as I studied her face.

I was trying to see if I remember her from junior high, but I was coming up blank.

A milky white face, slender nose, and clear green eyes that stood out distinctively amidst her pretty face, along with blond hair that fell past the sides of her rosy cheeks down to her delicate shoulders.

...

"..."

"Um... what are you doing...?" The girl asked, watching me stare silently at her.

Shit... I had no idea who the fuck she was!

How the hell was I supposed to pretend that I'm Kaya...?!

No choice but to go with this...

"Wh, what's your name...?" I stammered weakly.

"Ueko Mizui...?" She replied slowly, her eyes staring at me. "Your best friend...?"

"U, Ueko... Hmm..." I put on a musing face for a few seconds, deliberately putting up a bad act. "Sounds familiar..."

"..."

Then, I laughed abruptly, breaking out of my act, "Haha, Ueko! I got you! I was just kidding...! Hahaha!! I can't believe you fell for it...!"

"..."

Ueko stared at me blankly, watching me laugh like a madman for a moment, before breaking out with a weak smile of her own, "Haha... r, right... you got me, Kaya..."

"A, anyways, let's go to class, Ueko...!" I said hastily, "We don't want to miss out on any part of the lesson now, do we...? Hahaha..."

"Um... class is that way..."

I stopped where I was about to walk off too, and followed where Ueko was pointing.

"O, of course!" I laughed.

...

Shit.

This wasn't going to go well.
