"Hehe..."
"No... no, please... NOOOOOO--!!"
The bald headed man with more tattoo on his body than skin screamed as I stomped on his head, resting my arm on top of my knee.
"Relax man," I sighed, lighting up a cigarrette nonchalantly while he squirmed helplessly underneath the sole of my shoe, "I haven't even hurt you yet..."
"P, p, please... I was wrong... I should had never entered your turf...!"
"Hah! You should had thought about that before you started a fight with the Shi-kai!" My second-in-command, Higuchi, butted in from the back.
I shot a deathly glance behind me at Higuchi and he jumped, startled. I had that kind of effect on people. All throughout my life, people have told me that I had a scary face.
I mean it wasn't like I had some grosteque scar on my face or something so I didn't know why people always said that.
Wild spiky black hair and a face that was slightly roughed up from all the fights that I had been into.
If you asked me, I would say I looked pretty much the same as everyone else here in this alleyway.
I guess it was my eyes.
Black, soulless eyes. Reeking of a murderous intent. Like a bomb that was about to go off any second.
Or at least that was how people described my eyes...
"Yo Higuchi..." I said, calling out to my second-in-command.
"Y, yes, boss...!!" Higuchi went as straight as a pole.
"Let me finish my speech first..." I told him. "Then you can add whatever smart ass comments you want to make after..."
"O, of course, boss," Higuchi said. "That was entirely my fault, I apologise..."
The bleached hair boy wearing an entirely black suit bowed to me and I sighed, glancing around the alleyway to see if anyone else was going to interrupt me.
My kobuns (another word for underlings in the yakuza world) were all as silent as mouses, the remnants of the opposing gang's members were all laying spread out across the dirty alleyway, bruised and tatterred.
"Anyways..." I turned back to the bald head man that was laying underneath my feet, "To be challenging the Shi-kai, hah! You are a fool amongst fools."
My second-in-command stirred slightly at the fact that I had stolen the words he had just said earlier, but he kept his mouth shut.
I pressed the bald head man's face further into the concrete floor of the alleyway.
"Ow, ow, ow...!"
What a sorry excuse for a gang leader... The fact that he dared to even enter Shinjuku which was widely known to be my turf was more of an insult to myself than a praise to him.
I hated people that didn't at least try to fight back...
"Listen up, baldy," I said to him, "Since I am a kind man, I'm going to let you and your men go out of the generosity of my heart."
Some of his men gasped on the floor, but my kobuns were silent, knowing this situation all too well.
"Y, you are truly a generous man..." baldy said, his voice muffled by the concrete floor, "T, thank you so much for sparing my life and the life of my men... I had heard that they call you the Devil of Shinjuku, but clearly those were just rumors..."
I released my foot from his head, allowing him to sit up from the ground as he rubbed his head sorely.
"Of course," I smiled at him, squatting down so that we were at eye level, "My heart is as grand as the Pacific Ocean, but since I am basically saving your life in a way, wouldn't you say you should pay me a little something in exchange...?"

"...!"
He glanced at me with panicky eyes, but I held my friendly smile, which seemed to scare him even more.
"Um... of course!" He smiled back at me with a pale face, "What is it that this great one desire...?"
"Well... how much is your life worth to you?"
"..."
"Hmm," I glanced behind me at his men that were laying around the alleyway, "One, two, three..." I started counting, but shook my head, turning back to the baldy. "Listen, I was never any good at maths, which was why I dropped out of school, but I think 20 is a good estimate of how many people you got here, yes?"
"Y, yes..."
"So let's just say, hm..." I glanced up at the sky for a second, before glancing back at him, "How about 200 million yen?"
"2, 200 million yen...?" He stuttered, almost choking on his tongue.
"Yup," I nodded with a friendly smile, "Quite gracious, aren't I?"
"What do you mean by 200 million yen...?"
"Geez... do I have to spell everything out for you? I'm charging you 10 million yen for saving the life of each person you have here, you wouldn't get a better deal even at the local hospital!"
"B, but how am I going to get 200 million yen...?"
"Use your head, idiot," I sighed, getting up from the ground, "Sell a kidney, rob a bank, I don't know, that's not my job to think for you."
"B, but--"
"If you don't have the money by next week, I will seriously end all your lives, now beat it!"
"O, okay...!!"
Watching the opposing gang picking themselves off the ground and scattering off, my kobuns jeered at them, throwing bottles of beer at them as they disappeared.
Of course, I wasn't really going to kill them if they didn't turn up with 200 million yen.
That was just a little encouragement to help them gather as much money as they could.
"Th, that was great, boss...!" Higuchi came up next to me. "You're truly the best yakuza leader in the world...!"
"Needless to say!" I laughed heartily, walking off with my gang as we headed to leave the alleyway. "Now, let's go celebrate and have some Izakaya!!"
"Oii!!"
~x~
Stumbling back to my place, I glanced down at my phone, seeing a blurry '4AM' reflect from the screen.
"Fuck, is it already so late..." I slurred, glancing around the empty side streets of Shinjuku that led back to my apartment.
I definitely shouldn't had taken those couple of last beers...
If it wasn't that damn Higuchi's fault for backing out of those drinks, I wouldn't be so drunk right now.
Ugh.
I continued stumbling forward, my hand leaning on the side walls of the street for support.
That was when I noticed the cloak figure standing at the end of the street, facing me.
"What are ya looking at...?" I growled at him, but he didn't have any reaction.
Strange.
Whatever, it's probably just some homeless lunatic.
At least that was what I was thinking as I walked past the cloaked figure, when suddenly, he pushed something into my abdomen and I glanced down.
The handle of a knife stuck out, gleaming in the darkness of the night.
"Y, you...!" I clenched my teeth, making a grab for the cloaked figure, but he stepped away from me and I fell to the ground, filling a pool of blood quickly gathering at the concrete floor where I laid.
Fuck, if only I wasn't so drunk.
I would be able to easily beat up the cloaked figure.
Lying in a puddle of my own blood, I glanced up at the cloaked figure who was now staring down at me, his face hidden.
"Y, you fucker..." I reached a hand for his ankles, but he was too far and I was losing too much blood.
That was when I blacked out.
~x~
"Ugh...!!"
I shot up from the bed, sweating and panting, the pain of the knife in my abdomen still etching across my mind.
A dream...?
Thank god.
I sighed a breath of relief to myself, scratching my head.
I wasn't ready to die yet. I still hadn't taken over the whole of Tokyo. My legacy was just beginning. Shinjuku was my first stepping stone before I expanded the territory of my gang, the Shi-kai.
Well, I guess I should go and see how the rest of the boys fared after last night's intense session of binge drinkin--
I froze.
...
This wasn't my bed.
And this wasn't my room either.
The room was neat, clean, a bookshelf on the side, a studying table, a mirror... none of these things were remotely familiar.
Then, I tried to get out of the bed and that was when I knew something was seriously wrong.
My body felt weird... like really weird.
It was as though I had sudddenly lost a lot of weight.
I glanced down and saw what appeared to be girl's pajamas on my body and started to freak out.
What the fuc--
But that was nothing compared to my reaction when I realised there was two round objects sticking out of my chest.
Despite being a virgin, I still knew what these things were...
"B, b, br..." I couldn't even speak.
My voice, what the heck happened to my voice...?!
The manly, intimidating, deep voice I used to have was now replaced by a soft-spoken girly voice.
Oh god, oh god, oh god...
I couldn't be.....
I stumbled out of the bed, crashing into the ground, and hurried to the mirror.
Oh my fucking god...
A girl with cherry hair and marigold eyes like two rays of sunshine stared back at me from the mirror. A small beauty mole at the corner of her left eye.
She was incredibly pretty and my heart stopped for a second, seeing the girl's long dark eyelashes blinking back at me.
A weird sensation was tugging at my heart the longer I stared into her face and suddenly a blush came over my face, which was reflected in the girl's dainty face in the mirror.
Of course I had this sort of reaction... this girl...
She looked like... Saya...
My highschool crush...
That was when the door to the bedroom started to open.
