Chapter 13: Adam The Cannibal  Hunter

Chapter 13: Adam The Cannibal  Hunter

As I approached what I thought was the Glenville Sanatorium, doubts crept in. Something didn't feel right. This didn't look like a sanatorium at all; it felt more like a secluded cabin. Panic surged through me as I realized I might have taken a wrong turn. "Shit, shit," I muttered under my breath, cursing myself for getting lost.

As I pondered the situation, a memory from a movie flashed through my mind. Kenia's boyfriend, Porter – that was his name. They had mentioned heading to a cabin in the film, but I hadn't paid much attention to it at the time. Now, standing in front of what seemed to be that very cabin, the pieces started to fall into place.

Porter's fate in the movie – I remembered it vividly. He met a gruesome end, too early in the story for his face to have left a lasting impression on me.

As I approached the cabin, I saw him – that bastard face, the one I recognized from every movie. It was that motherfucking Three Finger And to my surprise, he had companions with him, two fuckup faces, It wasn't his brothers, but rather a pair of new faces. Then it hit me like a ton of bricks – it was Alpha who orchestrated this. That son of a bitch had recruited some minions.

Porter's cries for help pierced the air, but the trio seemed to find it amusing, laughing callously at his distress. Rage boiled within me at the sight of their cruelty.

As I watched from a distance, I realized these motherfuckers were ready to chop him up.

Summoning all my rage, I shouted, "I'm here, you fuckers!"

My voice reached Three Finger and his companions, who turned to look in my direction.

Then Three Finger glanced at the tied-up Porter, laughing at his helpless state. Then, he turned to his companions and spoke in a series of gibberish words and gestures. It seemed he was instructing them to leave Porter behind, as he was already tied up, and they needed to pursue the one who had shouted

As the three of them closed in on me, I muttered curses under my breath. "Shit, shit, fuck this shit," I grumbled. Then, with a defiant tone, I taunted them, "Follow me, you fuck faces!"

As Three Finger laughed wildly and his companions grew angrier, they followed me closely.

In my mind, a plan began to form. I needed to lure these bastards into a trap.

As they closed the distance between us, I knew that simply throwing the grenade wouldn't work. They would likely evade it, and I needed a 100 percent way to take them down.

So, I made a decision. I would become a suicide bomber.

But there was no need to fear. Even if I died, I could revive again and my revival location? Don't worry about that.

As we moved further away from the cabin, the three of them drawing near, I summoned a grenade from my inventory. Holding it up, I looked at them with determination.

"Let's die, you bastards!" I declared, ready to execute my plan.

Their shock was palpable as I removed the grenade's safety pin. They likely assumed I was committing suicide, unaware of my ability to respawn.

"I said, let's die together!" I shouted defiantly.

They scrambled to escape, but it was too late. The explosion engulfed us all.

Darkness enveloped me as my vision blurred and consciousness slipped away.

Then, I activated my Revival Location Selector, choosing the spot near the cabin where I had been moments before.

[Revival Location Selector

Function: Allows the user to select the precise location of their revival, offering strategic advantages and control over their respawn point.]

Well, I bought this revival location selector back then. I told you, right? I spent 30 revival points, and yep one of them was on this revival location selector. It's only a one-time use, though.

"Revival Location Selector initiated," the system announced. "First death Cooldown: Zero."

"Host, you are revived again," System announced again.

And just like that, I was revived once more, ready to face whatever lay ahead.

My death cooldown had reset because I hadn't died in three years. Here's how it works: if you die and your cooldown period is, for example, 2 days, then you won't reset your cooldown if you die again within those 2 days. However, if you survive beyond those 2 days, for example, if two days is Tuesday and tomorrow is Wednesday, if you die on Wednesday, your cooldown will reset. So in my case since I hadn't died in three years, my cooldown was back to zero. Got it?

...

As I approached the cabin, I spotted Porter tied up. Quickly summoning my machete, I rushed toward him. Porter looked at me with fear in his eyes as I approached.

"Please don't hurt me," he pleaded, his voice trembling with fear.

"Dont worry, I'm trying to help you. I'm the one who shouted back then," I reassured Porter.

"Thanks, man," he replied with relief.

I nodded. "You're welcome."

Swiftly, I used my machete to free him from his bindings.

Looking at him, I inquired, "Do you have friends or people who were with you?"

I thought to myself, recalling Kenia and her friends, those horny bastards who met their end in such a stupid way. well, that's just my reaction, though, in 'Wrong Turn 4.' I'm pissed off that they died in such a stupid way. Anyway, back to Porter."

Porter's face twisted with concern. "Oh crap, I do have friends who will come here. Shit, shit, what if those deformed people hunt them? What should I do, crap, crap, crap!"

I attempted to calm him down. "Calm down, calm down."

But Porter was too panicked to listen. "Shit, no, no."

"I told you to shut the fuck up or else we will be heard by those fuckers," I snapped, punching his face out of annoyance.

Porter touched his face, wincing in pain. "I'm so-sorry, I – I freaked out."

Sighing, I softened my tone. "It's okay. I knew you were just scared about what would happen to your friends. Don't worry; they'll be fine for now."

Porter looked doubtful. "How? Those monsters are stronger and faster. How will they survive?"

Meeting his gaze, I reassured him. "Because those disfigured forms won't kill them today. As you can see, there's a fucking huge storm coming in."

Porter pondered my words. "You think so?"

I nodded firmly. "Trust me. For now, they will be fine." Glancing at the snow, I added, "That's why We need to hurry up and save your friends."

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

I was certain they'd be okay. They were still in that Glenville Sanatorium. Even with Alpha there, I knew his twisted game of cat and mouse. So He wouldn't kill those college students too early; he wanted them to suffer. That's how much of a piece of shit he is

Porter interjected my thoughts, his voice full of concern. "Okay, okay, but if there's a huge storm, wouldn't they be in danger?"

Meeting his gaze, I nodded. "That's right. That's why we need to find them. And I know where they'll be."

"Just fucking follow me, okay?" I replied firmly.

Porter nodded in agreement. "Okay."

With that, we prepared to head to Glenville Sanatorium.

..

Meanwhile

After the explosion cleared, the two disfigured figures were dead, their bodies blown apart by the grenade.

But amidst the wreckage, there was another figure. Despite his injuries and the holes in his body, he was still breathing. It was Three Finger. His body wasn't as damaged as the others, and he was laughing manically, despite his condition.

.....

Meanwhile, Kenia, Kyle, Claire, Lauren, Bridget, Sara, Vincent, and Daniel were driving the snowmobiles, but they got lost.

Kyle felt a pang of frustration as he surveyed the dense forest around them.

"Shit, where are we?" he muttered under his breath, feeling the weight of responsibility on his shoulders.

Kenia and the others pulled up beside him, their concerned faces mirroring his uncertainty. "You're lost," Kenia stated matter-of-factly.

"I'm not," Kyle retorted, his tone defensive.

"Just admit it," Kenia urged, her voice tinged with worry.

Vincent, standing behind Daniel's snowmobile, chimed in with a shiver. "Idiot. It's frickin' freezing out here," he grumbled, his breath visible in the cold air. "It must have dropped 20 degrees in the last half-hour."

Everyone turned to look at Vincent, who reiterated, "We've got an hour of daylight left." He shivered slightly and added, "Τhere's a huge storm blowing in any minute now."

"Just give me a minute to get my bearings, alright?" Kyle replied, attempting to steady his nerves.

"Hey! Hey!" Kenia's voice broke through the tension, drawing Kyle's attention.

"What?" Kyle responded, turning to face her.

"We should be going left up there, over that hill," Kenia pointed towards a distant ridge.

"No, I've been to the cabin a hundred times with Porter," Kyle insisted, his confidence wavering as he scanned the snowy landscape.

"We need to get over that far ridge over there," Kyle pointed in a different direction, trying to convince himself and the others of his certainty.

"F-fine. Then let's go. I'm freezing too," Sara stuttered, her teeth chattering from the cold.

"Yeah. Come on!" Claire urged, her voice edged with urgency.

"Come on, guys," Bridget added, her concern evident.

The engines roared to life one by one as they prepared to move forward, each member of the group driven by a mixture of determination and anxiety.

Daniel, who was driving the snowmobile, exchanged a concerned glance with Vincent, who was seated behind him. "He's making a wrong turn. I know it,"

Vincent simply tapped his shoulder, a silent gesture urging Daniel to follow the others. With a resigned sigh, Daniel started the engine once more, the roar of the motor barely audible over the howling wind.

As they pressed on, an hour passed, and the snowstorm began to intensify, obscuring their surroundings in a swirling blanket of white.

Kyle, feeling a sense of defeat, spoke up with an apologetic tone. "Sorry, guys! I guess I got turned around," he admitted, his frustration evident in his voice.

Kenia's expression was one of grim determination as she addressed the group. "If we don't find some shelter soon, we're gonna freeze to death!" she warned, her words cutting through the biting cold.

Daniel nodded in agreement, offering a suggestion to backtrack. "I say we go back the exact same way we came!" he proposed, hoping to find their way back to safety.

Kenia nodded in agreement, her voice firm as she directed the group. "Yeah, that's not a bad idea. Let's turn around," she instructed, her gaze sweeping over everyone. "Head back down the mountain, and follow your tracks in the snow."

Vincent, however, interjected with a grim observation. "What tracks? They've been blown away," he pointed out, underscoring the severity of their situation.

Bridget, shuddering from the cold, suddenly pointed ahead. "What's that?" she asked, her voice barely audible over the howling wind.

Daniel, also feeling the chill, squinted through the snowstorm. "What's what?" he responded, struggling to see anything through the blizzard.

Bridget pointed again, her eyes widening. "That huge, dark shape along the side of the ridge. I think it's a building!"

Vincent, following her gaze, finally saw it too. "Frickin'-A! We're saved," he exclaimed, tapping Daniel's shoulder in excitement.

Sara, her teeth chattering from the cold, urged them on. "Come on, let's go."

Kenia nodded, taking charge. "Okay," she said, leading the way.

Jenna, barely able to contain her shivers, added, "I'm freezing. Come on. Come on."

As they approached the building, which loomed large in front of them, they nodded at each other and made their way towards the entrance door. The structure was old and foreboding, but it offered the promise of shelter from the storm.

Panting from the exertion, Kenia warned, "Don't slip!" as they carefully navigated the icy path.

Claire, relieved, whispered, "Thank God."

Vincent, grateful for Bridget's sharp eyes, said, "Bridget, I could kiss you."

Kenia, reaching the door first, found it unlocked. "Ohh. It's open. Come on," she beckoned, holding the gate wide.

Jenna, wide-eyed with relief, exclaimed, "Oh, my God."

Outside, Daniel called to Laura, "Honey, you want your ski gear?"

Lauren, already through the entrance door, shook her head. "Leave it. I've got my bag, and it's freezing!" she replied, clutching her belongings tightly.

Daniel, grabbing his own bag, followed quickly. "Ohh! I'm freezing," he muttered, joining the rest of the group inside the entrance.

The group, huddled together, finally felt a sense of hope as they stood inside the entrance of the Glenville Sanatorium. But little did they know, what awaited them inside would be a journey into hell and tragedy.
