Scarlet flames rained down from the sky and boiled the mud of the damp Xibalban countryside while Xtabay in her serpent form laid waste to the Bahn sister's forces. Mul sat atop her head and used Eurus to keep the smoke from obstructing their vision. "Alright Tabs according to your mother's intel the sisters should be around here somewhere." Xtabay heard him but couldn't answer in her present form; she just continued spewing flames. "With Queen Xochi moving north the sisters should be cut off from retreating, but I don't see them." Mul squinted as he searched the charred area for signs of the Bahn sisters. Although usually dark, Xtabay's flames lit up the Xibalban sky with a dim orange glow while her huge silhouette slithered in the air. Suddenly Xtabay stopped breathing fire and her body stiffened. "Tabs you okay?" Mul asked, placing his hand against her scales in concern. Of course she didn't answer, instead she began thrashing wildly. "Xtabay what's wrong?" Mul shouted but her violent movements flung him off of her. As he fell Mul watched Xtabay's body shrink back to her human form and begin to plummet down. He wasn't sure if he could get to her in time but he pointed Eurus behind him and tried to summon an airburst to launch him forward. A shockwave erupted in front of him first and knocked him back further, forcing him to use the airburst to break his fall. "I thought it was just because you were in the air but it turns out you are just a little kid. Hahaha is this all Xochi has left to offer?" Mul climbed to his feet to find Corrina Bahn walking towards him with General Murdoch's giant ax resting on her shoulder. He frowned when he noticed a large bat skull and human skull with canine features hanging from her belt. Corrina noticed him looking. "Friends of yours?" She teased pointing to her new accessories. Mul brushed himself off and took a deep calming breath. Corrina placed her hand on Xolo's skull and a lighting bolt shot out from in front of her. Mul exhaled and dodged the bolt in the same breath before a burst of air launched him at her. "Haha, tackling the problem head on? I like you kid!" Corrina complimented as she swung her oversized battle ax. Mul placed an air burst in front of him which stopped him short outside Corrina's range allowing her attack to pass in front of him before an air burst from behind launched him forward with enough force for Eurus to pierce her armor and plunge into her shoulder. "Haha not bad kid but-" Mul pulled his blade out of her and a burst of air erupted from the wound shutting her up and sending her spiraling backwards. Corrina rolled to a stop a good distance away and slowly stood up. "Nice moves. Is that you or the sword?" She asked him. Mul didn't answer, he just stood there glaring at her, studying her. Corrina chuckled to herself and placed her hand on Xolo's skull again but this time an electric current ran through and around her body. "I've been wanting to try this." Corrina smiled and launched herself at Mul. Her speed caught him off guard so all he could do was brace himself against her attack but the impact never came. Corrina's fist slammed into a wall of golden sand. A dagger emerged from the sand and sliced her hand causing her to jump back. The sand crumbled to the ground in a pile and Lukohé caught the dagger Zephyrs out of the air. He pushed his glasses into place and turned around to face Mul. Confused, Mul looked over the kid that seemed to be a few blooms older than him. "Who are you?" Mul asked, his blade now pointed at him. "Lukohé, and I'm here to help because this one and her twisted family need to go." Mul lowered his blade and nodded in agreement and the two of them set their attention on Corrina who was now visibly agitated. She had torn the armor that covered her right arm off and watched in pain as necrosis from the cut of Lukohé's dagger steadily spread up her arm. "Arrrggghhh! What did you do to me?" Corrina growled. "How about you just wait and find out?" Lukohé teased. Breathing heavily Corrina stared for a moment at the poison spreading up her arm and in one motion ripped her arm from its socket and tossed it away. Thick black blood dripped from the gaping hole in her shoulder as she touched Xolo's skull to use electricity to cauterize the wound. Lukohé turned to Mul. "don't let her stop the bleeding!" Mul launched himself at Corrina who had to stop tending to her injury to avoid Mul's attack. She side stepped his blade and delivered an elbow to his back which planted him into the mud. She went for a kick but the golden sand emerged from the ground and absorbed the blow. Corrina turned to Lukohé and touched Camazotz's skull and a shockwave knocked him back. Mul who was back on his feet swiped at a gap in Corrina's armor cutting her and causing her to stumble back but not before knocking Mul away with a strong backhand. Corrina caught her footing and raised her arm to stop the bleeding from her shoulder but the golden sand wrapped around her wrist shackling her to the ground. She tried to pull back and resist but the sand wrapped itself around her neck and her waist. Now that she was held in place Lukohé charged her with Zephyrs. Corrina channeled all the inhuman strength left in her petite body and broke free of the sand and slammed her fist into Lukohé's body. The impact launched him back and forced him to let go of his dagger. Mul who was behind him leapt over Lukohé and grabbed Zephyrs and used a burst of air from Eurus to catapult him forward and plunge Zephyrs through Corrina's armor and into her chest knocking her to the ground. Mul stood up and pulled the dagger from Corrina who was convulsing and gasping for air as the Anemoi blade's poison spread throughout her body. Mul walked over and helped Lukohé up. "You alright?" Mul asked handing Zephyrs back to Lukohé. "Yeah, it's just been a long day." The two of them walked over to Corrina's body which was now surrounded by a bubbling black liquid. "What is that?" Asked Mul. "Shit!" Lukohé exclaimed. The liquid spread over her corpse and pulled it into itself before sinking back in on the ground. "I needed to seal her body otherwise she's just going to come back." Lukohé looked at Mul who didn't hear what he had said because he was already running towards the direction Xtabay fell. Lukohé sighed and pushed his glasses into place before following after him.
