Rin slowly opens the door, to find a girl that doesn't seem much younger than he is, but as he gets closer the girl starts to sob even louder, she looks horrified and seems to be terrified of Rin.
“I'm here to help you, don't worry.” Says Rin reassuringly.
“Why are you helping me? What's in it for you?” Asks the girl through her tears.
“Do you want to question why I'm helping you, or do you want to get out of here before it's too late?” Rin answers cheekily.
The girl stays quiet, but seems less terrified of Rin.
“Alright then, What's your name, and what's your relation to my uncle?” Asks Rin.
“Uncle?... Besides my sister and my mom, I don't know anyone else..Also, my name is Emika.”
“She doesn't know Uncle James? That's weird…Why would he even want me to save her? He never cared for the other children who were supposedly here with me, so why is this girl different?” Rin thinks to himself.
“Uhh…Okay well, we have to get going before the cult gets back, come on.” says Rin while rushing Emika to get up.
But right as they are about to leave, they hear footsteps walking down the hall that Rin came from.
“Ah shit, we took too long.” Rin mutters under his breath.
“Alright Emika, take this and run, I'll distract them while you run to this area here, and wait for me. But if I don't come back in 10 minutes, just escape without me” Rin says, while showing Emika the area on the map.
“Okay, but after I get there, where should I hide?” Asks Emika.
“You should hide right here by the fence. There are some boxes and a large blanket over the boxes, so nobody will see you, and nobody's usually over there anyway, so there shouldn't be any problems when you get there.” Rin answers while taking the knife out of the bag.
“Alright, this should be enough for me to fight back if I get cornered, I'll see you later, if you're even there that is.” Rin says while frowning.
Rin starts sprinting down the hallway, knocking the two guards back. As the guards get up to chase Rin, they also alert the rest of the camp that Rin is running around the camp, and could've possibly let the prisoner escape, 2/3 of the guards are told to chase him.
Rin is outrunning most of the guards somehow, and dodging most of their attempts of tackling him, until one of the guards jumps in front of Rin and they both collide, which causes massive damage to Rin.
When Rin hits the ground, all the guards surround and pin him to the ground. The fall made him hit his head pretty hard, and he is now in a lot of pain.
“...Fuck, they’re way stronger than I thought.” Rin thinks to himself, while trying to fight away the guards on top of him.
Some guards start to get aggressive and kick Rin in the stomach. All the air in his lungs gets kicked out of him, and he is now laying on the ground trying to catch his breath, while he is getting kicked repeatedly.
“What the fuck do I do now? I can barely catch a damn breath with these idiots kicking me, what the hell is their problem?!” Rin thinks to himself.
The entire situation seems hopeless to Rin, he can't even get a chance to fight them off, and they're just beating the shit out of him.

“Damn, I guess she’ll escape without me..At least I got to save someone's life right?”
Rin thinks to himself.
But amidst Rin’s panic, he starts to feel a sudden and violent shaking in the ground. It feels different from the multiple boots kicking him, that's when he realizes that a massive earthquake is happening. It gets so violent that it throws all the guards away from Rin. Suddenly purple sparks start to surround Rin as he gets even angrier.
Then a huge flash of purple lighting consumes Rin. Everyone around Rin gets launched in several directions, knocking all of them out on impact.
Rin struggles to get up, it feels like all of his energy was drained “W-what the hell happened?..” Rin thinks to himself, as he is looking over at the guards.
He stumbles over to the guards. He checks their pulses “Yeah they should be fine”. Rin notes to himself.
“I need to get to Emika before she leaves. I hope nothing happened to her...” Rin thinks to himself.
Rin slowly stumbles to the meeting place, almost collapsing from exhaustion. He eventually makes it to the hiding spot, where Emika should be. He whispers out for her, but he doesn't get an answer. He looks around for her, until he takes off the blanket over some boxes. Emika is sitting under the blanket, with her knees covering her face, she is shaking and seems scared.
“Come on, we need to get out of here before they start looking for us.” Rin says exhausted.
Emika looks up, her face lights up as she sees Rin standing over her. She quickly gets up and hugs Rin.
“Uhh..” Rin muttered.
“I thought you weren’t going to come back! What took you so long?!” Emika exclaims loudly.
“Hey, keep it down! You’re going to be the reason they find us.” Rin whispers. “We seriously need to get out of here now, we don't have much time, the earthquake is getting worse too.” Rin continues.
“Okay, okay, sorry, sorry..” Emika answers, while letting go of Rin.
“Alright, you see that fence over there? Do you think you can climb it?” Rin asks.
“I’ll try, I guess.” Emika answers.
They walk over to the fence, Rin climbs over it with ease, but Emika not so much. It ends with Rin having to help her get over the fence. They start walking down the mountain, when Suddenly Rin collapses and passes out from exhaustion and fatigue.
Suddenly Rin is back home again. He is sitting at a table in his house, and his mom, and dad are eating breakfast with him. Nothing feels out of place, except for Rin himself. As Rin is looking around, he notices that the clocks are frozen. He excuses himself from the table and goes into his room. Nothing seems out of place in there either, except that his clock is frozen too. That's when he remembers. This isn't right, his parents died when he was 10, this can't be real.
Rin suddenly sits up, He is drenched in sweat, and is breathing heavily as if he just ran a marathon. The light from the sun outside is almost blinding him. When his eyes get a bit more used to the light, he looks around and sees Emika, she looks shocked at his sudden movements “You're finally awake!” she shouts.
“Where are we?” Rin says while looking around.
“An abandoned cabin in the woods. After you collapsed, I had to pull you through the forest, and the earthquake stopped pretty soon after, and I'm pretty sure the Cult cleared out as well, since they were talking about it last night before you came to help me.” Emika explains.
“Really? That's great news, now we won't have to deal with those asshats anymore. Okay now can you help me stand up? I want to get some fresh air.” Rin asks.
Emika helps Rin get up and walk outside, only to find snow everywhere.
“Snow? That's weird. It has never snowed before, maybe a side effect of the merging?” Rin says confused.
Suddenly a status window appears in front of his eyes “What? Do you see this Emika?” Asks Rin.
“Oh right, you haven't seen it yet. It's called the system. It tells you info about pretty much anything, but you have to have seen the thing first, and it also shows you your stats and abilities.” Emika answers.
“Abilities? Let me check this out.” says Rin excitedly.
As Rin looks down at his list of abilities, he sees one that stands out immediately.
“Beginner Lighting Magic?! Do I have lightning magic?!... I mean that would explain the flash of purple last night.” Rin says.
“You have lightning magic?! That's so cool! I'm jealous..” Replies Emika whilst frowning.
“It would be so cool if I could throw a lightning bolt, like this-”
Right as Rin throws his hand to mimic a throw, a bolt of lightning forms and runs through multiple trees, destroying them all.
Rin begins to stagger around, nearly collapsing.
“W-what's wrong with me?” Rin stutters.
“!!!LOW MANA ALERT!!!”
“!!!LOW MANA ALERT!!!”
“!!!LOW MANA ALERT!!!”
The system keeps flashing, until Rin finally understands “I only have a limited amount of mana, God I'm so stupid why didn't I think of that??” Rin mutters.
