“I get it, Low Mana!” Rin shouts, Suddenly the system stopped blaring in Rin’s mind.
“So if it can only tell you the info of things you have already seen, can it absorb the knowledge of books and diaries?” Rin thinks to himself, while slowly sitting up.
The system appears again in front of Rin, but this time it shows a big “Yes” on the screen, instead of Rin's Stats and Abilities.
“Can you absorb this then?” Rin says while holding out the diary, he found in Mr. Takashi's Home.

“ANALYZING COMPLETE, THE SYSTEM HAS ABSORBED 99% OF ALL INFORMATION INSIDE THE DIARY.”
“Only 99%? What about the 1% that the system didn't absorb? What was that information?” Rin says curiously.
“SYSTEM DOES NOT HAVE HIGH ENOUGH CLEARANCE TO ACCESS INFORMATION, NOW DESTROYING DIARY IN 3 2 1.”
“NO!” Rin yells, reaching for the Diary, until suddenly the diary bursts into flames.
“GOD DAMN IT!... I'm sorry for that outburst, It doesn't matter anymore, at least the information was absorbed into the system, before it burst into flames…But I wonder what that 1% was…Maybe information about the author? It said the system didn't have enough clearance to access the information, so if it's information about the author, they must be someone important.” Rin says while getting up on his feet.
“It's okay Rin, also what was the diary even about?” Asks Emika.
“I guess the mana I lost replenished while I was having that outburst.. But I don't understand why I got magic. It doesn't seem like I'm able to use it all that well, considering that whenever I use it, I use way too much mana and nearly collapse. My first ability should have been something that I could use without getting exhausted quickly.” Rin mutters, while ignoring what Emika asked.
“Okay Emika, how much food do we have left exactly?” Rin asks Emika.
“I think we only have a few days worth of food left, and while you were asleep, I looked around the cabin for a map or something like it, and found this!” Emika pulls out a map that shows the nearest towns and cities.
“So...The nearest town is a few hours away?..That's unfortunate, especially since we don't have any form of transportation...” Rin says disappointed. “The only thing we can do is prepare some food for the trip to the closest town, and hope we can make it before night falls. But before we go to town, I want to know how much I can do with my magic.” Rin says.

“If I were able to learn how to control how much power I put into my lightning, I would probably be able to use it for self-defense and to gather food. I won't be using the lightning to kill the animal, I'll just stun it long enough for me to sneak up behind it and kill it.” Rin says confidently.
“...Yeahhh, because killing it yourself instead of using lightning, is much better...” Emika replies sarcastically.
“..Right I should probably just use my lightning.” Rin says while blushing from embarrassment.
“How long are we staying here? I have to get back to my sister in the city..I bet she's really worried about me...” Emika says while starting to tear up.
“Don't worry, we will most likely be able to get to the city in a day or two. Oh, yeah. I never got your age, how old are-” Suddenly Rin turns around to the sound of growling, and something walking around in the snow.
“Did you hear that?..” Emika says, now almost crying.
“Shhh…Something is walking around, get back to the cabin right now.” Rin whispers, while pushing Emika towards the cabin door.
Suddenly a creature appears next to Rin, and punches him through a tree.
Rin shoots through the tree like it was nothing. He lands in some snow and is unable to move. Hitting the tree made his arms almost dislocate, and he can feel almost every bone in his arms, they feel broken beyond repair. He can feel the energy slowly draining from his body, the cold from the snow, combined with the pain he is feeling in his entire body, is draining the life from him by the seconds.
“If I die here, what was it all for?.. Am I going to die for nothing? Is this the end?” Rin thinks to himself in defeat.
The creature walks toward Rin. For the first time, Rin gets a good look at it. The creature looks like a werewolf, the kind of werewolf you would see in movies, and read about in books. Suddenly, the werewolf grabs Rin by the neck and lifts its hand, revealing long, sharp claws. It's staring at Rin with pure bloodlust in its eyes, it looks ready to maul Rin’s face off, when suddenly Emika appears behind the werewolf. The werewolf turns around and jumps back, in the process dropping Rin on the ground, and starts charging at Emika.
“S-Stop it!” Emika screams in tears. Suddenly roots shoot out from the ground, and grab the werewolf’s legs and arms, pulling it down. The roots can only hold down the werewolf for a short time, and it breaks free with ease. Spiky roots shoot out from beneath Emika, and form a ball around her, to protect her. The werewolf lunges at her again, but the roots stop it, and the spikes on the roots cut deep into the werewolf’s torso. The roots start to shift upwards, which in return lifts the werewolf off the ground, making it unable to get free. As the werewolf is hanging on the spikes, it’s struggling to get off, while its movements become slower and slower, until it ultimately stops moving. The ball of roots around Emika starts to slowly go back into the ground. The new werewolf's corpse falls to the ground, and Emika notices a small stone fall from its corpse too. Rin and Emika lay still on the ground for another minute, scared that the werewolf will get up again.
Emika looks over at Rin, He is becoming very pale and the surrounding snow is blood-red. Emika quickly gets up, tripping in the process, but gets up again and runs towards Rin. She sits down beside him.
“W-what do I do..?” Emika asked, sobbing.
“G-Get The..Stone..” Rin stutterers, while pointing in the direction of the werewolf corpse.
Emika rushes over to the werewolf's corpse, examining its guts and other organs. Eventually, she finds a purplish stone and runs back to Rin. But right as she is about to feed him the stone, she hears footsteps behind her. Multiple of her roots form a shield behind her, and Rin. Suddenly 3 of the creatures attack her, nearly breaking down the shield of roots, allowing her to get a look at the creatures.
