A journey I wish I could forget,
On a mission I had hoped I didn't get,
Through the desert I marched.
Rough terrain, weather harsh,
Worse than that bug-filled marsh,
No food or water for days.
Thirst had me in a daze,
I'd rather venture through a trap-filled maze,
Yet such is life.
Had left my children and wife,
At home, here all I had was my knife,
Made of the finest steel.
Had been 2 days since my last meal,
Blisters on my feet that covered my heel,
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
It was not a fun time.
Now I could bet a dime,
That you're tired of this stupid rhyme,
Yet I, quite frankly, can't care less.
My trip did God not bless?
For I ended up with quite a mess,
And no clear solution at hand.
And lo - in front of me did land,
Looking peculiarly dainty amid the sand,
A cat with most green eyes.
A Cheshire, medium of size,
Ferocious eater of mice,
With an odd, stupid grin on his face.
And so he stood in place,
With nary an owner's trace
On him, he stared at me.
And cried out with glee,
"Finally have I found thee!"
One might, perhaps, imagine my shock.
And thus in my mind did dock,
The ship of Insanity Rock,
For I knew not what to make of my situation.
"Reaching you gives me great exhilaration,"
continued the Cat's salutation,
"For I shall now fulfill my duty."
