Chapter 10: [Day 4] - Final message

Sleeping ever so tightly, Daniel seemed bothered. Constant turning and being drenched in sweat, one might wonder what he dreamt.

Within his mind, he found himself as a naked soul, transparent and shaded in white. Floating around within a seemingly endless room, he heard a voice. It felt familiar, his tired soul was not yet able to function properly, merely swimming around in this ocean of emptiness.

"Daniel," it sounded. "Daniel can you hear me?"

It was Wulf's voice, humming and chiming within this void within his mind. Realizing this, Dan replied, "Wulf? Is that you?"

"Listen to me, as you hear this I will have already died, this message is a tiny shard of my soul. I planned on telling you about this before, but I guess I have to use this chance now."

Dan looked around him, swinging from place to place, not seeing his canine companion.

"I materialized my last bit of strength into your right arm, or rather the new regalia. I want you to be able to have another chance with your life, being able to grab onto this thing string which leads you to a safe future. The regalia is yours now, I am no longer in possession of it. Meaning it is also yours to forge anew, may whatever troubles await you act as the hammer to reshape your blade and mind. One last word, you can't blight yourself since you are human, hence the regalia which is now part of yourself, is also immune. Use my gift with care, protect those who can't themselves, aid those who have fallen into the deepest of wells, lend them a piece of that thin string. Within nearly every human lies a flicker or light, you need only find it," Wulf became more and more silent towards the end. "This is farewell for good now my friend."

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

"I understand," the soul which floated within this immense void began to cry. "What is this? No I don't want to cry, why isn't it stopping!"

Tears ran down his face like a waterfall, a never ending flow of water running down his cheeks, to his chin and finally into the void around him. He heard a chuckle through the empty room, "Thank you, I appreciate your kindness, I really do. You now while your biological body can be influenced, your soul cannot. You shouldn't try to hold back those wonderful tears of yours, for they represent your feelings, joy, sadness, pain and love. There is nothing to be ashamed of. Now farewell, may my gift be of good use to you."

Outside of his mind, a ray of light struck right into his eyes, he was facing the great window. The sun rose, once again starting a new day. Waking up, stretching and yawning, he began to look around and next to him stood a small boy, dirty, sweaty blonde hair, baby blue eyes and dusty clothes combined with a questioning look on his face.

"Who are you?"
