Afterword [Spoilers]

This is Jason, aka I3asil. As the author I really do hope you enjoyed this NaNo story. The story covers the beginning of the apocalypse together with its many troubles. Since you should have read it by now, which I am glad you did, I can talk about this story in a bit more detail. As you might know Tumblr and Wattpad featured several Updates on my account about the story, sadly I wasn't allowed to speak about it as much as I had initially planned to, simply because it would spoiler most of its content.

The story was based on our world, or rather a similar one. Many biblical and religious references can be found within the work as well as some stray references such as the Ars Goetia. The choice of using animals to represent angels was made in order to familiarize them with a pet or a friend of some sort.

Demons are kept shady and bone like, some of them feature typical zombie wounds while some others seem fairly normal.

I structured this story based on the protagonists sanity and progress. At first he is surprised and shocked about how the world has suddenly changed over night. You get to know his friend, his job and even the angel, Wulf. While Daniel stood for the broken soul, Wulf was his support and became attached to him.

Believing he was the only one who could fight and protect his friends, he gave the people around him a feeling of helplessness, which Leo uttered. It is difficult to say what Leo's role was, he was like that one friend who was always with you because of the protection. Pretty soon though this attitude began to change, seeing his friend fight for his sake and hurt his sanity for him. You might say that Leo was ignorant for being rough with Dan, telling him about the 'mistakes' he made, but you could also say that he merely tried to tell him that they are a team and should work together.

I admit, I would have loved to add more detail to the group of people at the garden centre. The three men, Clark, Robert and Hanson would have great additions. Sadly for them, they didn't get the attention they deserved but were at least able to help find Tommy.

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

Tommy represents the innocence in this story, the lamb. This relies on a biblical reference, the sacrificial lamb which didn't do anything wrong but still had to pay with its life. Tommy was meant to help Daniel overcome his problems, especially due to the loss of Wolf. Having a child to look after makes your mind focus on different things and also makes everything a bit more livelier. While Daniel wasn't even sure of what to do at the river, before they ate the fish, he seemed like he wanted to act as an idol for the child, which is why he tried to be a good person.

As I said before, Wulf dies in this story. My canine friend wasn't meant to die from the start. The only problem was that his role came to end, realizing the strength of humans he sacrificed himself for his beloved friend, leaving with him the regalia. It made me really sad to have him die but his memories are well kept within Daniel's heart and mind.

Getting to the gang in Brimville and most of all Claude. He is a person whose description might be really offensive, maybe very rude would represent one percent. His tyranny towards his people, combined with his two faced plan of conquering the world represent his position in this story. Claude is the literal hatred and the magnet of it as well, reinforced by his sinister friend, who I won't say more about.

In the end, we also get to meet two new characters. Stella, who acts as a support for her little brother Finnian, represents reason while her brother is carefree. Them joining the group was a decision made to support the two boys. There needed to be more people, I knew this when I designed the garden centre group. Suddenly adding five people to the group was too much which is why two should be just fine for now.

This is the end of this is little afterword of mine. As you know I will definitely continue this story by publishing a new Volume every few months. All of this depends on the feedback I receive as well as the time I have.

Once again thank you for your time and feedback, I am really looking forward to all of your comments.
