I drift around listlessly for a long time after losing my friend, and when I finally stop and take stock of my surroundings, I realize that I... have no idea where I am.
I'm surrounded by green grass on all sides, except for this weird path of bare dirt, stretching far into the distance in front of and behind me. The only thing that remains the same as before is the blue wall high above me, and the white poofs slowly floating along below it.
I wonder if maybe this path leads somewhere. Perhaps even a place with new friends! But which way should I go? Uhhhh. What about- you know what no, I'm just going forward. I'm sure they both lead somewhere eventually anyway. I hope.
So off I go, drifting over the path, watching the grass shake and bend in the breeze. After a while I look up again, to see if there's anything more I can see now that I've gone farther along the path.
So I continue, wondering if maybe there really is nothing in this direction, and I'll just be floating along forever. No, no way, there has to be something, I just need to be patient. Maybe if I distract myself with something It'll help keep me occupied, instead of looking around and seeing nothing but grass, and more grass, and even more grass, and HEY WAIT A SECOND LOOK OVER THERE I SEE SOME.......... grass.

Yeah, I need a distraction. What though? I can't go inspect stuff because I need to keep moving but at the same time, I'm going too slow to... OH MY GALE, I'M SUCH A DUMMY! I CAN JUST GO FASTER!
With this thought in mind, I begin to speed up, my sharp sides splitting the wind like some old holy guy splitting the sea with divinity or something. And I just keep speeding up, faster, and faster, until the only thing I can see is two giant oceans of green on either side of me, with a small line of tan brown below. Eventually, I can't go any faster, but I don't mind, I'm already faster than I ever have before. And it's exhilarating.
Finally, I decide to slow down and see if I can find anything more, surely after going so far there must be something other than grass nearby.
Once again I try to look further and find something else beyond the grass and the dirt path on the ground. And suddenly all the excitement of speeding through the air seems to fade because no matter where I look, I still see nothing but grass.
I'm still alone.
