Time passed yet again and the seasons changed. As the girl with white eyes looked through her window, she could see that the set was setting. It was Halloween and the hospital also made an effort in joining the occasion. The girl with white eyes walked out of her room and there the scenery of the simple hallway had changed. There the girl saw the hospital’s change of themes. Streamers and fake cobwebs hanged on the ceiling. Cartoonish pictures of werewolves, ghost, and vampires were stuck at the walls. And as girl headed towards the main lobby, pumpkins having faces sat on top of the desks. The nurse by the desk saw the girl and made a greeting. In reply, the girl waved her hand at the nurse and greeted as well. It was Halloween once again. Wanting to see more, the girl headed outside.
Outside, more decorations were put. Pumpkins making scary faces were piled up beneath trees while fake cobwebs and spiders covered the leaves. The girl continued to walk around, a smile arising on her face. As the girl made steps following the paths, she noticed the people outside. Through the fenced walls, she could see people in costumes. Ghost, witches, werewolves, Frankenstein, and more. The girl gazed at the people in their costumes. Monsters that she would only read in storybooks were now in front of her. But as the girl looked with joy, she felt saddened as well. The girl knew that she couldn’t join them. As the girl stood by a tree and watched the people pass, little did she know that someone was watching her. Near the hospital’s entrance-way was the guard. The guard knew about the girl and her situation. Wanting to make the girl smile, the guard headed inside in order to find someone.
Evening was coming and the girl made a sigh. The small lamps found besides the hospital’s paths began to light up one by one. Knowing that the day was about to finish, the girl decided to head back. But as she walked towards the entrance, the girl noticed two figures standing there. There was a mummy like character; the girl quickly knew that it was the guard. The other person was clothed in a robe and had a large hat over her head. The girl peeked underneath the large hat and noticed who the person was, it was the senior nurse. The girl asked why they were in costumes. As the two smiled, they took out something. It looked like a normal white sheet; the only difference was that there were two holes cut through them. As the girl bobbed her head, the two quickly threw the sheet over her and covered her body. The girl’s sight darkened and she quickly moved within the sheet. Seeing the holes, the girl moved her head and peeked her eyes through them. There the girl saw the mummy guard and the witch senior nurse smile. They began telling the girl what the sheet was for and why they had done it. Hearing their story, the girl’s heart was filled with joy.
Three individuals were exiting the hospital’s grounds through the gate. As they passed by, the gatekeeper noticed and greeted them. The mummy guard nodded his head, the witch senior nurse smiled, while the ghost with white eyes enthusiastically greeted as she waved her hand through the white sheet. The gatekeeper made a hearty laugh and wished them well as they leave. As the three walked by the streets, the sound of children laughing could be heard. The girl looked around her, her eyes with excitements and curiosity. The girl saw children in costumes walking towards doorsteps and ringing bells. As the door would open, they would say “Trick or Treat” and would be given candy. The ghost girl wanted to do it as well. But before she knew it, a basket having the shape of a pumpkin was given to her.

By the doorstep, a ghost girl having white eyes was feeling anxious. It was the girl’s first time doing it and she felt scared. Seeing her, the witch senior nurse and the mummy guard cheered for her. Gathering the courage that she had, the girl pressed the doorbell and waited. Her heart bumped hard as she grew nervous. As the girl waited, the door opened and an old woman holding a bowl stood in front of the girl. The girl became scared that he forgot her words. But within her fears, the girl heard words behind her. “Trick or Treat” the ghost girl said in a slightly silent way. The old woman heard her and grabbed something from her bow. The old woman asked the girl to open up her basket and the girl obediently followed. Out of the old woman’s hand, candies dropped one by one unto the pumpkin basket. The girl was overjoyed and she thanked the old woman. The old woman greeted her good luck and a good night before closing the door. Though it was small, the girl was happy as she skipped towards the two-people waiting for her. The girl began telling them what had happened and the two listened as they smiled. The witch senior nurse told her that they should continue. The girl joyfully agreed.
Door to door, house to house, the three passed visited the houses by the streets and did their “Trick or Treat”. As the ghost, the mummy, and the witch went on, the cadies within the basket grew until it was nearly full. Since the night was still young, the mummy guard asked the two if they want to visit the park. When the witch senior nurse asked the ghost girl with white eyes, the girl agreed. The park was not that far and it was good to rest after walking. Reaching the park, stalls and decorative lights brightened up the scene. Though the girl could not see colors, it was still a beautiful new sight to her. The witch senior nurse spots sweets which looked like apples being sold. Saying that she was going to buy some, the witch senior nurse left. Meanwhile, the two walked towards a bench. As the ghost girl sat, the mummy guard asked the girl if it would be alright if he leaves for a short moment. The ghost girl asked why and the mummy guard responded that he wanted to go to the restroom. When the ghost girl looked at the stall selling candy apples, she could see the witch senior nurse waiting in line. Not minding it, the ghost girl told the guard that he could go. Again, the mummy guard asked if it would be alright since he knew her condition, but the ghost girl gave the same answer. Before trailing off, the mummy guard told the girl not to move from her seat. And so, the ghost girl was left alone sitting on the bench. Looking at her basket, the ghost girl took a candy and unwrapped it. As the ghost girl popped it inside her mouth, she tasted the sweetness burst. The ghost girl looked around and she could see enjoyment within the people’s faces. It was all black and white, but she had grown accustomed to it.
