A carriage drive home

A carriage drive home

Sitting in a stunning carriage was an older man with a heavy receding hairline. He had graying hair but you could still tell its original color was a dark brown. His lips were covered by a tough and proud beard, one that made his appearance just an ounce more tolerable. He wore Defined and elegant clothes, ones that clearly stated that he was of money and told others that he was above them in class. After all in his empire he was above most everyone. He was not only of noble blood but also, he hailed from the second most influential noble family. This alone made him above ninety percent of the people in his empire. And he had taken that to his head.

This man was Rulo Gensith. He was known world wide as the ambassador of the Schcelt empire, hell the whole Gensith family's job from its creation was to be the ambassadors for the empire. But he was more famously known as the world's biggest slave trader and swindler. He had been kidnapping men and women from all around the world mainly from smaller nations and taking them back to the Schcelt empire as forced workers and soldiers. This was an act he had gotten away with due to the world's fear of the Schcelt empire and especially the empress of the said empire; she was a woman many believed to be all powerful and to avoid war with the powerful nation these countries had turned a blind eye to the kidnapping.

This act was how the man at the coach box had ended up here. This man was Zef, the water weaver, a legendary man, the man who many years ago tried to overthrow the empire but failed and as a result he was forced to return to slavery under Rulo once again. This slavery was something Zef had to deal with as a young boy as when he was young he was blessed with a powerful weapon, one of the seven dragon spine weapons. These weapons were forged from the spines of the seven guardian dragons that overlooked the races blessed by Aethos, these weapons had a mind and soul of their own and only allowed people they chose to wield them without destroying their minds. When the empire had heard that one of these weapons had bonded with a young boy from a tiny country they made the decision to invade and take the boy as their own ensuring that no other nation would gain this power. This decision had led the young Zef’s life to be ripped apart, his family was massacred and he was forced to become a child soldier for the very same empire that caused his pain.

But that is a story that has already taken place and Zef had no choice but to accept this. After all, despite his strength he was still a slave to the empire and no strength would be able to free him from these shackles. Shackles made of human lives and held by a woman so powerful not even his overwhelming will reached hers. This however did not discourage Zef as every day of his life he was thinking of ways to free himself and all of the citizens of the Schcelt empire.

[Rulo- Zef, when we return to the empire tonight i'll let you select the men and women that we'll be sending away for the deeds you've done today. I hope you enjoy that. HAHAHA.]

The older man let out a cheerful laugh as if the comment he had just made was one of the most funny things a person could say. His remark had made a chill go down Zefs spine, this man sadly had the power to partition the empress to do something that fowl and that knowledge led Zef to wishing for the fall of the empire even more.

With a grin on his face he pulled out a cigar and lit it. Letting out a puff of smoke the man stared out of the carriage at the army of soldiers resting in tents each one bearing the mark of the Aestar kingdom. With a brief look Rulo could see over 100,000 men. A number that was decent as a front line but definitely underwhelming as most of these soldiers most likely did not have useful abilities after all it was rare for a person to have enough willpower to make even the most broken abilities truly powerful. Thinking of this, an image flashed through his head of a young boy he had once kidnapped after hearing what his power was, it was one so great that the empress herself had compared its usefulness to her own powers. Yet after only a few months the boy was so broken mentally that he was barely able to activate his power.

‘Such a shame it was but sadly it happens more than he'd like to say, to ensure the person stays loyal to the empire they must first make them fear the empire otherwise more people like Zef here will spring up,’ Rulo thought.

Quickly looking at the soldiers outside of his window he was disappointed to see that they were returning to their tents due to the lateness of the day. He had wished to continue watching them in order to learn about the Aestar army. Something that would help them both as information to be sold to the Caute kingdom and as information for them in case of battle. Although the more he thought about it this information was useless unless the Aestar kingdom turned its gaze to him, after all the general that the Aestar kingdom was destined to fight was not one who seeked information during battle but one that sought only entertainment.

[Rulo- What a brute that Valerian is, It only makes sense noting that he is of the fallen Orc tribe. They were all brutes if the legends stand to be true.]

A disgusted face covered Rulo as he thought about the legends of the orcs, one of the eight races that were once co-owners of this world. Today however, only the humans ruled the earth with the small factions and small ounces of the other seven remaining all around the world. Most countries did not welcome the remains of the races as they were thought to be cursed after all over ninety percent of them all had been wiped out and who was to say that the other ten percent were not going to be wiped out one day taking all those close to them as well. This left just three main countries that would take part in the races: the Schcelt empire, the Aestar kingdom, and the Caute kingdom. These three were commonly known as the southern superpowers.

The Schcelt empire had mainly taken in these races as slaves and laborers. After all, one person with orc blood could lift twice what a human could and since they had orc blood, their powers were weakened making their powers half as effective as a normal human. And don't even get started on the ones that hold high amounts of the blood, they didn't even possess a power at all. This allowed the empire to keep them as amazing slaves as each race was amazing at their trades. They Forced the dwarves into creating weapons and armor for the empire. They had the elves hunt and gather for them. They forced the gnomes to cook for them. They made the angels be messenger carriers. And then the goblins were best used as foot soldiers and cannon fodder. Sadly though all of the dragons were extinct so they couldn't use them. However every race other than the humans were forced to be soldiers for the empire as it allowed them to save human lives.

The Aestar Kingdom was founded by war and Svorr the first king believed that if the kingdom that he was to make was to stand it needed force, so he allowed the other races to become citizens so long as they joined the military for 5 years. This allowed their country to be able to grow into what it is today. It also helped that the Schcelt empire had allowed Svorr to conquer the bandit lands during its youth and form a nation due to a treaty that was signed between Aethna, the last empress and Svorr. The relationship with the other races and the Aestar empire had always been good due to Svorr allowing them in. He gave them a country with no discrimination and for that he was praised.

The Caute Kingdom however, was the most friendly to the races as its royal family was descended from an elvish noble house. That and their land was also home to the great lizbeth forest, the very forest that the elves were born in. These two facts made the Caute Kingdom a safe haven for the races and they quickly flocked there without delay. And even today despite the fact that the Caute royal family was murdered by a single man, their races still saw it as a safe place for them.

As his mind thought about these three countries he became disappointed in the state of this world. Not only was it a kingdom that had such promising ties to his empire, allowing races to live as citizens. But another world power was filled with these races. With a huff the man cut his mind off not allowing it to wander once again, he then turned his gaze back to the young man, Zef, leading the carriage.

[Rulo- Hurry boy brings me to the closest waypoint so I can finally leave this disgusting country and tell her empress that we can send Frena to find us that weapon.]

Three days later

Leola had been preparing for the arrival of the guest for a few days now. She wasn't given a date so she was forcing both Svorr and Lucian to live in the cave just in case the “guest” arrived. During the time she was able to get the whole manor cleaned and decorated, while also hiding the two royals' stuff. She had decided to decorate the manor as if she was throwing a party, much to the dismay of her younger brother Ivor. Ivor had worried that if they were to set up the manor in that way it would make the “guests” think that they knew they were coming, but Leola argued that they would already know after all every single time a royal was ‘spotted” their house was “Visited”. It only made sense that the two of them would know that they were coming.

Over the three days Leola had used many of her robotic servants to decorate the manor. This included banners, posters saying welcome, and food. Although since they didn't know when the people were to arrive they had been cooking non stop and giving what they didn’t eat to the citizens around the city. The Tinirka had always done acts like this for the city that had surrounded its manor. It was acts like this that had made the city love and appreciate the Tinirka noble family.

Leola was going all out preparing for the “guest” hoping that the actions would distract them from their true reason of being here. She was pretty confident that she would be able to achieve this so long as they set a family that was more relaxed such as the Kor or Ricfren families. She needed the “guests” to stay with her and not search around the city too much although even if they did Lucian and Svorr would be safe in the cave no matter what. The main worry was the other nobles and queen becoming even more suspicious and keeping a closer eye on them after all the two royals can't stay in a cave for too long.

With these thoughts running through her mind, Leola ran back and forth making sure that all of the banners were up and all of the tables were set. She also ensured that the two’s rooms were cleared and nothing had a trace of them in it. The last thing they needed was a person with a tracking ability picking up their scents here. As she rushed to and fro she noticed a knock at the door, a loud and proud one that signaled that their time was up and that they needed to be ready especially since they didn't know who was going to be at the door this time.

The knocks had begun to stop only after three, this information made Leola head race with wild thoughts trying to figure out who the person was that was knocking. The person had seemed patient, so that ruled out the Turien and Falten families but the others were harder to guess. As she ran down the halls while trying to solve the puzzle of who they sent over and over again , she ran into her brother. He was a small boy yet was incredibly intelligent and let you know he was at every chance he got. The two raced down the halls and the stairs giving each other looks of concern.

[Ivor- do you know if we’re done, from what i can tell the bots you made have been keeping up with the workload we gave them but if we’re to keep Mr.Svorr and brother Lucain a secret then i really hope were done]

[Leola- From what I can tell I think we are done. Now all we need to focus on is distracting them and making sure they don’t figure out what we're doing. I really hope it's not one of the Faltens or a Turien, because if it is, we're screwed.]

[Ivor- I'm hoping for aunties Lily and Uvo, they're nice and when they visit they don't pry into our stuff. Well I guess they only don't do that because they are in a similar boat to us with Aunt Lily being of royal blood.]

[Leola- Well yeah most of the nobles hated King Henry for imposing laws and rules onto them. The only reason Lily is alive is because she renounced the throne, sadly Svorr doesn't have that luxury since he was once king and Lucian is too proud and hateful to do it.]

As the two talked they quickly reached the front door and issued the bots to open it. With a wave and a bow they greeted their “guests”.

[Ivor and Leola- Welcome to the Tinirka estate…..]

A stunned and confused look washed over the top as they saw the “guests’ that were sent this time. The two’s words ended and all they could do was stare at the two ladies that had arrived at their home. As they looked at them they thought simultaneously “Fuck were screwed”.

[Claire- Is that who a noble greets their queen, with a half of a sentence and a bewildered face?]
