Whispers of the psyche
The Tinirka Rebellion

The Tinirka Rebellion

Waking up back in a very familiar room Lucian got up from the bed he found himself in. He couldn’t recall the reason he now woke up in a bed after all the last thing he remembered was talking to “A”. Lucain reasoned that he had to have something to do with it.

[Lucian- Yo, “A” are you there. What happened last night? Why did I wake up at home base?]

This question however came upon silence as “A” had no response Lucian couldn’t even hear the man’s voice which in any other circumstances that would be a nice surprise. But due to the circumstances it only brought him a bit of annoyance.

[Lucian- Fine don't answer then.]

A bit annoyed by the man's absence he followed up with an annoyed tone. This still however did not bring back “A” so with no other choice Lucian moved on with his day.

Taking off the clothes he was currently dressed in, Lucian headed into the shower where he emerged shortly after. Taking a moment to adjust to the cold air after the hot shower Lucian walked over to his dresser and grabbed a pair of clothes for the new day. No longer in a cloak and dark clothes, Lucian wore a pair of white pants with green seams. His shirt was white with a small bit of green and black stitching. The prince then put his hair into a ponytail. Finally finished with a clean outfit the prince walked out the door to find his grandfather as he would most likely be able to explain what happened last night.

Walking down the halls of the manor that he and the others of his “rebellion” lovingly called home base the young prince stared out of the windows looking at the gentle sun. The home base that they all had gathered in was none other than the family home of the Tinirka noble family. The Tinirka were one of the two of the twelve families that had not participated in the murder of the royal family. The Tinirka are huge supporters of the royal family and have always been close with the royals. Sadly that was very well known knowledge so the family was “visited” by two of the other twelve every time a rumor about himself or his gramps being seen circulated. Meaning that if his memories of last night were correct then they would probably be Visited again meaning soon Lucia, his gramps and the other core members of the “rebellion” would have to go underground for a few days.

His gramps would probably kill him for that alone. The underground area was a huge cavern found on the very edge of the Tinirka's land. They used it due to the fact that it contained the remains of a lesser dragon meaning that anyone inside the area would be unable to activate their power. This played as a double edge sword, sure they cant defend themselves in the area but no can use their abilities to search the area either providing them with complete cover against their enemies.

Before too long Lucian walked into the kitchen, the only place you were guaranteed to find his gramps during the morning. Sitting at the bar sat a huge man with scars on every single visible part of his skin, his gray hair barely touched his ears despite that though he still did have a full head of hair. Around his neck was a long scar that almost wrapped around his whole neck. The man sat eating what seemed to be dozens of donuts and fired link sausages with scrambled eggs. Before that man was over twenty plates stacked on top of each other. The smell of the food was deeply intoxicating, something that led Lucian to sit next to the man despite his better judgment.

[???- YOUNG LUCIAN, you're finally up. I heard you had an eventful night last night. Don't worry i wont berate you after all you took down that tricky bitch who seduced both by sons. For that I thank you, my grandson. Come eat with me, Cook, get this boy 12 helpings of everything you have for breakfast.]

With the massive man's decree the cook, a robot made of steel worked and shortly brought 12 plates out to him. Setting down the plates the robot continued to cook clearly working its ass off to keep up with his gramps hunger. Looking at the amount of food before him he knew that most of it was an excuse for the old man to eat more food and not be yelled at by Leola or Ivor.

The man and Lucian both sat in silence as they ate. After finishing just two plates Lucian stood up and started to walk away realizing that his gramps had just heard stories of his actions last night. To find the full story he most likely had to find Leola or Ivor both of which most certainly were planning for the “Visit” that they would be receiving in a few days time. As he started walking away the old man finally spoke up.

[Gramps- What no words for your gramps. Have I struck your nerve? At least tell me how the bitch croaked. Come on, my boy, give me the details.]

[Lucian- She bit off her tongue while I was distracted.]

Lucain said those words with a clear sadness that covered the room. His words clearly showed his thoughts behind taking Roan’s life.

[Gramps- Oh, my boy, I do apologize. I sometimes forget that she was your step-mother. I made this mistake quite often. Sadly, I need to keep in mind that each one of you still holds hope for some of the lost.]

Standing up the old man walked over to his grandson a hugged the young boy. It was a comforting moment for Lucian but not one that rid the sadness he felt nor did he desire it too. The feels he held for his family he wanted to hold onto for as long as possible work them out and to understand them. The old man feeling the young lad embrace him back however believed that he had free him from the feelings that plagued his heart. Despite how powerful the man was his old heart war torn heart could still never understand how one deals with their feelings.

That was a problem the old man had to deal with all his life from the very time that he had gathered twelve bandit tribes and forced a nation into existence through sheer might. He was a conqueror who understood all aspects of war but lacked many qualities that some might consider necessary for war. This lack of understanding had caused Lucian’s grandma to leave him in his twenties with his two sons. However to the old man he didn't view this as a weakness but as him overcoming a different weakness after all in his day, when he formed the kingdom of Aestar if he had shown any regards to anything but strength he would have been overthrown by the bandits that he gave nobles titles to.

Embracing his grandfather once more the young prince slowly backed away. Thanking his grandfather for the comfort knowing it was something that was quite hard for the man to understand, Lucian walked away and headed to the plaza were the two nobles Leola and Ivor where most likely setting up for their “visit”

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

As he walked towards the plaza Lucian couldn't help but have his mind wander to the events of last night. His mind went to the two knights that he had faced that night. Due to the pain and trouble of his step-mothers death he hadn't gotten time to think about them very much.

The first was a man by the name of Al Gentry. He was a powerful opponent that forced Lucian into using dirty tricks, this only brought the young prince worry as the knight was a mere guard and yet his power was tricky enough to counter his whole moveset. This would be so much more trouble as Lucian knew that any person that could prevent an attack touching would be difficult to defeat for him. Thinking about the fight he wondered how he could get around defenses like that one but his mind only came up blank.

The second knight was the one that confused him the most and would have probably defeated him if it weren't for “A”’s domain. She seemed unbelievably fast and insanely annoying. He would have to fight her more to understand her power but for the time being he had to piece together her with limited information. If she was really the commander of the royal knight order then he was destined to have to fight her again so it would be important to understand her power and find its limits. The second thing with her was her slips about claire. In the fight before she had caught him off guard due to her statement about claire. That was also something he had to piece together, after all he needed to understand their connection because it could be useful in luring the hiding Claire out.

As the prince walked and thought he approached a huge room of white marble and gold highlights. The roof was made of glass and let so much light in that there was no need for candles or lights at night. This was the main area where the Tinirka family held its guests. It could be quite lively but at that moment only two people stood in the room. These two were a young boy that looked almost about the age of fourteen and an older woman about the age of twenty three. They both wore incredibly fancy coles and had long gold hair. The woman wore a dress that fell just below her knees and had blue eyes. She was clearly a confident woman just by her appearance alone, she stood tall while stating her desires for how they should set up the plaza with certainty in her voice. The boy wore a button up shirt that was tucked into a pair of shorts. His eyes were a sharp green and looked as if they were bored of this conversation with his sister, no doubt due to her stubborn ways.

Watching the two debate if it was smart to throw a welcoming party for their “guest” Lucian couldn't help but laugh a little bit. Hearing this the two turned to him.

[???- Oh so the Drunkard is finally awake. We were worried for you when you came back last night talking nonsense and lying in the rain. That and I won't even mention how you were able to travel halfway around the kingdom in one night.]

[???- Sis, give Lucian a break, sure he headed out without backup, but he did take down one of the people we are hunting. The thing you should get onto him about though was revealing his identity to the royal knight order. Word travels fast due to Miah Gravne, the whole kingdom knows that their “dead” prince defeated death and is roaming around seeking vengeance.]

The two siblings both argued and criticized Lucians actions last night. Embarrassment washed over the young prince as he was reminded of the failing he had last night. Trying to avoid eye contact with the two he looked around more and noticed the declarations for this “party” were lacking a name of the guest. Confusion washed over Lucian as every time in the past that this happened the queen had told the two of them who were visiting.

[Lucain- Leola, did they tell us who was coming to “visit” us. You don't have a name for the banner over there.]

[Leola- Avoiding the topic now are we, it's your fault we have to do this in the first place. But no there were no summonings or even a letter of “hey someone is dropping by to check on you” nothing. But since we usually visit after all are seen we both figured to set up a party for them.]

[Ivor- No, not both of us. You thought that it was needed. I think it is very suspicious for us to do a party if he dont know they are coming.]

[Leola- No it's sweet!]

As the two started to once again argue, Lucian turned to the room and looked about wondering what could be in store for them if the “queen” didn't send a letter this time. Thoughts rushed around in his head but none frome into a solid answer to the question of what she was planning all he had knew was that she was a cunning woman like her mother so this terrified him.

But this conversion was fruitful as it revealed how he had gotten here. “A” most likely dumped him off in the night and due to the travel in and out of his domain Lucian became sick. But not wanting to be yelled at by Lucian right away in the morning “A” wiped his memories and hid. With this new knowledge Lucian walked away from the two bickering siblings. He headed back to his room to have a pirate conversion with “A”.

{The night before}

Raine walked in the rain feeling no small amount of anger swell in her as she thought of the young man she had met and fought just a few hours ago. He was without doubt the young prince, the brother of her beloved and yet she had failed to bring him in. not only that but she was too late and her beloved's own mother was killed by that man.

She had failed and she knew it. Walking to a tent through the rain, Raine couldn't help but regret not being more forceful. This is what Raine had been doing for the past hour walking in a circle around a tent waiting for her beloved to finally return. She had been beating herself up for even longer than that though as to her it should have been impossible to escape yet she had let the man do just that. All she could think was of her failings for the day. It saddened her and made her wish for a retry, a retry she’d probably get soon.

[???- Oh dear, what do we have here you look worried darling.]

This voice appeared behind the young woman as she walked in circles. It was the voice of the one she was waiting for, Queen Claire. Turing to see her lover Raine rushed forwards throwing herself on the Queen. The Queen was a tall woman with ruffled and messy black hair that fell to just above her shoulders. Clarie had gray eyes that contained a hint of sorrow in them but when she looked at Raine that sorrow vanished. Hugging the woman back Claire made note of the worried look her lover had on her face.

[Raine- Im so sorry, I couldn't do more i wanted to but then he just disappeared and I only found out that she was dead after he was gone i'm so sorry dear.]

Looking at the crying woman before her brought a level of pain to Clarie that was unrivaled. She cared little for this world and the things in it but for her dear Raine she CARED!

[Clarie- Woah, slow down tell me what exactly is happening]

With that statement the two walked into the tent and discussed the events of the night, Raine told the young queen the events that had transpired with a small bit of guilt in her voice. The death of lady roan. The young man who tanked her attack. The reveal that he was none other than the long lost prince and his escape into nothingness. She also mentioned the rotten corpses in the manor. With all of this being sad the knight slowly held her head lower and lower. As she was told all of this information the queen held an interesting look on her face not one of sadness or anger but interest. The Queen got up and walked over to her lover and held her telling her.

[Clarie- Don’t worry my love this isnt that big of an issue. I knew he'd return for a while now and as for my mother there was a reason I had her living outside of the royal castle. She was not trustworthy and her power made her easily able to stage a coup. All in all this works out well for us. Get you stuff in order we are both headed out in a day to the Tinirka house and this time no rock will be left overturned. Now my love you are dismissed.]

Hugging once again the queen let her knight go rest as she knew that this was a night that truly affected Raine.

Leaving a queen alone in her tent, thoughts circled in her head as she remembered her half-brother. He would be quite the tricky person to fight and this rotten corpse that Raine had mentioned brought up a question one she could only ask one person in this world

[Claire- Isn't that the power your brother gives his proxies “Z”?]
