A moment of silence echoed throughout the halls of the second floor as if time stood still. Moments later, they started to gain awareness of what has happened. They started panicking, unaware of what they should do next.
Elizabeth quickly rushed to Harper's aid as Fate tries to process everything that is happening in front of her. Elizabeth carried Harper behind her back at the same time trying to catch Fate's attention as they have to rush Harper to the infirmary.
" Hello! Is anyone here?" Fate opened the door
" Yes over here." A muffled voice sounded at the back of the room
" What happened to her?" Spoke the nurse
She wasn't feeling well just now, and she vomited after which she fainted while we were walking back to class, we didn't know what to do so we brought her here. Elizabeth explained
" Bring her over there let me take a look at her."
"There isn't seem to be anything wrong with her. Her temperature is a little high but other than that she's ok she just needs rest. You guys should hurry back to class, I know you're worried about your friend but the best thing you could do is give her time to recuperate." The nurse replied
" Yes ma'am! Come on Elizabeth let's hurry back before Miss Alison tears us a new one for taking even longer to come back to class." Fate replied
The bell for the next lesson rang As soon as they got back Miss Alison was waiting for them outside the classroom.
" So what happened to Harper?"
" She wasn't feeling well so we took her to the infirmary so she can rest. I think she was having a lot of pressure from the presentation and her body couldn't handle it and she fainted." Fate explained
" I see. Thank you for taking her I'll be on my way then." Miss Alison walks away
" Hey, welcome back." Harold greeted her with concern
" Heyy! What did I miss? How many people presented after their group?"
" Just one other group, but forget about that how is Harper? What happened to her?" She suddenly ran off.
" She vomited and afterward when we were heading back she fainted so we had to take her to the infirmary."
" That serious!! I didn't realize she was facing that much pressure on herself. How about you two how are you guys doing?"
" I was a little shaken up at first after she fainted but I'm ok now. Fate, on the other hand, had it worse she said she feels ok but I don't think that's the case, she might still be a little shaken up so I have to look out for her for a while." She replied
" I see. It seems that this whole presentation situation is hard for her, I mean I don't blame her, it's surprising to witness it firsthand."
" Yeah, no kidding."
" Ughh.. hmmm..."
[Based on the evidence, as all of you, can see the negative effect out weight the positive and as years goes by, it will just accumulate and in the next 5 years climate temperature will have increase exponentially which will force us to take more extreme measures and if we don't do anything the result will be catastrophic. Furthermore, the change in climate temperature is one of the many problems-.
Smoke soon filled the room and dark ominous clouds started appearing as Harper looks around the room, she saw 3 familiar faces in the background calling to her]

" Harper over here!"
" HARPER!! Look over here. We're here. Come over here!!"
She tries to respond to them. However, they don't seem to be acknowledging her their face slowly change turning them to yokai like the one the stories she had read back when she was a little girl about the myth of the Japanese folktale. They gathered around her in a circle and they started mocking her endlessly.
" If you just LISTEN!! To what we said we would have won this COMPETITION!!"
" If you weren't here then it would be ours for the taking"
" You're just dead weight. USELESS BAGGAGE!! That pulls us down get lost go back to where you came from. You're A WASTE OF SPACE!"
" NO!! STOP IT! GO AWAY! PLEASE GET AWAY FROM ME!" Harper shouted but no one could hear her cry for help
She tries to push them away so she could escape but all her effort doesn't seem to work. She squats down and gave up on trying to escape.
[ A loud booming sound could be heard in the distance. Slowly the noise became louder and louder until it almost killed her which snap her back to reality.]
" AHH!!" The sudden jilt from her nightmare causes her to sit up as sweats drip down her forehead she was relieved that it was all a dream.
[ I guess it was just a dream but it seems so real, to begin with.] she thought
She curled up and a tear fell off her face and onto the blanket slowly she began to cry, the tears flowed like a river escaping a dam. She let out a moan as she suppresses her hiccups. The door suddenly opened and the nurse walked in, she walked to Harper's bed and opened the curtain hanging over it.
" Hey, Harper! How are you feeling?" The nurse asked as she looked through Harper's hourly temperature-taking sheet.
Harper quickly wiped her tears off her face but you could still see how red and puffy her eyes were from all her crying
" Umm. Oh yeah, I'm doing ok. What happened to me?"
" You don't remember? You fainted halfway, two of your classmates carry you over here you must have pushed yourself further than your own capabilities." She explains
" You had a slight fever when you came in. Let me check your temperature again to see if I can let you go." She added
The bell rang which signify the end of the day
" Looks like your temperature came down significantly your good to go. Its already after school hours, go home straight away be careful on your way you're still not fully recovered so take it easy or else you're gonna be back here again before you know it." She explains
" I will. Thank you for the advice. I'll be going then. Bye!"
" I better get going I need to go somewhere." Elizabeth packed her bag
" Gonna visit Harper?"
" Yeah I wanted to see how she's feeling, she was having a slight fever just now when we dropped her off at the infirmary."
" Ohh I see. I didn't realize how much she's been pushing herself, plus her anxiety from the presentation didn't help her either."
" Yeah hopefully she's gotten better and I hope she doesn't blame herself for what happened during their presentation. She's stubborn that way but I wouldn't blame her if she did."
" Hmmm. It's pretty hard to face this kind of thing. Bring your umbrella its raining outside."
" Yup! I have it. I'll get going."
" Hello! Is anyone in here?" Elizabeth spoke
" In here. What do you need?"
" Ah, I just came here so I could visit someone I left here a while ago. I wanted to see how she's doing."
" Oh, its you! Ah, I let your friend go since her temperature went down and she's feeling better after her bed rest."
" Oh, that's good to hear. How long ago was that?"
" Not long maybe around 15 minutes ago. If you leave now, you might be able to catch up to her. Another thing if you happen to see her please look after her she is still not a hundred percent yet."
" Yes, I will. I better get going."
The rain was getting heavier and the claps of thunder were getting more frequent, students' chatter could be heard as they make plans on where they wanted to go after school while others weren't so lucky as they waited for the rain to stop.
The streets were filled with vehicles as they try to get to their destination, while people were rushing to grab a taxi to get away from the rain. Children play with the puddle in their raincoats while walking home from school.
Elizabeth ran to the entrance hoping to catch up to Harper. She opened Harper's shoe locker but she had already taken her shoes and left.
She tried rushing out of the school but the crowds of students made it harder for her to breakthrough. She ran through the streets looking for any signs of Harper but she lost her trail.
Harper walks through the crowd as her clothes get drenched from the rain.
She had forgotten her umbrella under her desk as she ran out of the classroom, she didn't want anyone to see her. She couldn't help but think about what had happened and how it had affected their presentation.
" Good job Harper you really screwed this one up." She muttered to herself
She continued to wander the streets aimlessly as the rain got heavier the people started to take shelter from the rain, she continued on avoiding anyone or anything that would talk to her or even stop by a pet shop to admire the number of dogs they had in store.
