I checked the timer that was in the system. I had seven minutes to try and find Jasmine, well I'll only use six minutes and use the last minute to hitch a ride on another party. My head was swiveling around trying to locate her. I couldn't yell out for her, it was far too loud for that. She wasn't anywhere around me so I started to walk in a huge spiral to see if I could find her.

I checked the timer, I had three minutes. A little after that I saw her, I pushed people out of my way and then I yelled "JASMINE!!!!" her head spun towards me and her eyes widened. She tried to began her way towards me, just before she could run fucking Brian grab her arm.

"GET OFF OF ME!!!" She yelled before kicking Brian in the balls and then she legged it towards me.

When I was able to see again we where in a way different place. It was dark, humid, and the air felt stale. God dammit we are in a fucking cave.

I looked at Jasmine still clutching me in a crushing hug. I was like ninety percent sure that I had better physical stats then her but it still felt like she was going to break my rib cage if this keeps up. I patted her back. "Uhhh…Jasmine can you let me go before you Mortal Kombat finish me off."

She looked up at me, she didn't quite let go of me but she did loosen her death grip. "Sorry Alex, I thought I wasn't going to make it to you in time. If I see Brian again I will crush his balls." I winced, I may hate the guy but no one deserves that. Well, maybe Brian but I'll have to be in a completely different area if she does it.

"Did you look at the notification?" She nodded.

"Do you know what is going on Alex, it kind of looks like those games you play sometimes." She asked me. To be truthful I had I guess or two but nothing definite.

"Uhm…not exactly all I know is that it feels as if we are lab rats, did you see the way the announcer looked at us. But I don't know anything for sure. I just don't trust them." She looked at me curiously. "What? Is there something on my face?".

"No," she chuckled. "I think that's the most you spoke to me in one go in years." Well she wasn't wrong about that.

"Well you don't have to point it out" I tried to glare at her but my heart wasn't in it. She beamed at me, god I did love that smile of hers.

I grinned at her. "Then we already have a plan.". She looked at me with one of those 'I'm worried about your mental stability' stares, I get those a lot. "We just need to level, kill some monsters, get some exp and tokens and get stronger.". I get why she was staring at me like that, normally I was more timid but around her I start feeling more like myself, my True Self.

"Ok…but we do need to do some planning, we can't just waltz in and just start killing things. I'm not 100% sure but I think we are on the bottom of the food chain." She pointed out. "First, we should tell each other stats and stuff like that.".

I started thing on our party connection and I thought at her and the system share status. "Oh!" She looked a little surprised, I wished I had a camera so I could've recorded that….wait 'record last few seconds' I thought at the system

Oh fuck yes. I have permanent blackmail, she'll never be able to escape from it. "Alex, I've always known you were a bit anti-social but to see it so clearly, it's kind of funny." She chuckled at me. "I mean my charisma is nearly three times more than yours."

"Hey! If you're going to make fun of my stats at least let me make fun of yours as well!" She shrugged at me.

"I don't know how to do that, so guess you can't" she smirked at me.

"All you have to do is think hard at me and the system and think share status, it's really easy." She was looking at me with that stare again. "Just do it." She shrugged at me. Then a status screen appeared before me.

Damn, she wasn't wrong, her charisma really was almost triple mine. She also chose Healer so that will be useful, but at the same time completely useless. Since I will only be able to protect her it will be difficult to level but we will get through it.

"This is going to be hell isn't it?" I just nodded at her. I completely agree. "So…Alex, you chose the brawler. Isn't that a bit…foolish?"

"I don't think so, it's what I'm most comfortable with. It's better than trying to learn how to use other weapons. All I gotta do is punch and kick, simple." I smiled at her

She sighed at me. " that's what I'm worried about. You'll have to get up close to do any damage, I'm just worried about you." I ruffled her hair, she gave me a death glare. It was so adorable that I recorded it.

"I'll have you to heal me up if I do." She sighed at me again. "Hey…Jasmine?"

She tilted her head at me. "Yess….?"

"Why did you choose 'Clean'"? She blushed.
