It turns out that Hong Qigong is found sleeping as heavens intended, under the table, and that the beggar sect was horrified by the unscrupulous behavior of the Ouyangs in denying their involvement with the scandal. The city guard found the matter was too convoluted, for they don't believe a child can conspire that much, or even fight a real martial expert. All in all, as long as people aren't hurt that much, they are prepared to close the case and not dig the skeleton out of the closet completely.
