-SPLASH!-
The sound of a water puddle being stepped on resounds in the eerily quiet forest… as if all life within its territory knows that death walks upon it. All the creatures within the forest stay in their home quiet, waiting for the storm pass. The sun glares all the way to the earth through the leaves in the forest yet the air still feel cold.
-pant, pant, wheezing-
A group of 8 dirty bandits breathe heavily in the silent forest. They are muddied and their weapons drawn. Two skinny bandits wield daggers, one fat bandit wields a dented club, another bandit wields a longsword that is stained. A bandit has a shield and short sword, two bandits have a bow and a few arrows in their quivers. The last one is a dual-wielding a short sword in each hand.
Fat Bandit: “I think... -pant- we…-pant- lost him.”, he squeezes out his words loudly.
Longsword Bandit: “I think so too”, he grunts after stabilizing his breathing while the fat one spoke.
The air suddenly got colder and wind soundlessly blew past them. This caused the bandits to start shivering from fear and the cold because to them it felt like death was literally getting closer to them. They started to tense up and ready for a battle. Adrenaline pumped through their veins once again with grim determination to survive.
Dagger Bandit 1: “D-damn, i-is h-h-he coming?!”
Dagger Bandit 2: “D-don’t b-b-be s-s-silly! He c-can’t be he-here yet.”, retorted his fellow bandit nervously.
Bow Bandit 1: “Might as well get ready anyway…”
Bow Bandit 2: “Yeah, you know the face that guy had… it looked like a demon that would chase you to hell”
Sword & Shield/ Bandit Leader: “Okay, cut the chit-chat.”, He then suddenly got stiff and faced north, the way they just came from. Having been through dozens of battles, someone was coming for his-no their blood. “Get ready… He’s coming closer!”
Everyone froze from fear, anticipation, and dread. They stared towards the dense trees from which they came… but nothing came forth. Sweat was, ever so slowly as if time suddenly decided to slow down, flowed down their foreheads and backs. Yet only silence greeted them from the woods they faced.
Fat Bandit: “Stop pulling our legs boss! There’s no way he could reach us that fast and so soon. We still go time be-”, He started to talk nervously and loudly in a haughty tone... then stopped...
Everyone slowly turned to face the fat bandit since he was at the very back of their group and wanted to know why he stopped talking. Slowly they saw his frozen expression and mouth wide open as if in mid-word. Then, as if time had returned to normal, his fat neck slowly slid and fell of with blood spraying out, like a slow snail moving forward and a geyser starting to shoot water up, his body followed suit. His body crumpled to his knees and then forward spraying them all in a bath of thick blood.
Throughout this whole event, the bandits’ eyes got wider and wider until it looked like they would fall out of their own sockets. They slowly paled like ghosts and couldn’t believe what happened before their own eyes.
Then suddenly they heard a -SWOOSH- and before they could even react the same thing happened to the two bow bandits except in this case they were both pierced through their chests.

-SPLAT- The heads of the two dagger bandits just exploded and their brain matter covered the remaining two bandits. They have pissed themselves by now, witnessing the one-sided carnage and the blood and brain mattered scattered throughout the forest floor they started trembling visibly.
In-front of them, finally, stood the man responsible for this horror. He wore a black cloak that was even darker than the night… forget blood, it wasn’t even covered in dirt. Only the man’s pale mouth was visible from the cloak and it was expressionless, without a smile or frown. The man started walking forward towards them and stopped around 15m away from them. This was because with each step they started trembling more until they fell on their butts. He was around 6 foot tall but to the bandits he was a giant (since they were looking up to him from the ground now).
The man’s lips just twitched when they fell and he spoke in a cold voice, void of emotion. From his words you could tell of his enormous anger ,but yet they were spoken in a whisper which strangely and frighteningly (for the bandits) echoed throughout the forest.
???: “Pathetic pieces of trash aren’t you. You DARED what you did and now fall on your asses when your punishment is here to be paid.”
The Longsword Bandit stupidly broke out of his daze in blind rage. He got up stumblingly and started to run awkwardly towards the cloaked man while shouting.
Longsword Bandit: “W-who’re y-y-you c-calling trash! You FU-”
Again, like his comrade, he too never got to finish what he was saying before his head was quickly removed from his body and the body crumpled to the ground slowly while oozing out a bloody pool away from its ender. It made one think when his head was cut and how for it to be cut in a perfect line across his neck. The bandit’s head flew in a beautiful arc 12m back towards from where he got up and stopped rolling with his eyes looking up in frozen shock towards his last comrade who is all alone…
The Bandit Leader just stared back and forth from his comrade’s body and head for 4 seconds before looking into the wide eyes that looked at him from his feet. He tried scrambling back away from the head in fear with his hands and feet (he is still on the ground). He got as far as 3m before he met a tree. -Thud- He quickly looked back at the tree and then forward towards the cloaked man.
-SWOOSH-
The cloaked man now stood in-front of the bandit and stared at him through the shadows of the cloak. He was shivering in fear and was stuttering incomprehensible sounds and words. Slowly and clearly he spoke words that scared the man shitless… if he had the time.
???: “Burn in hell, you piece of trash, along with you shitty friends.”
He said those words like they were final and couldn’t be refuted by anyone. And as soon as he finished the bandit was burned alive. In less than 3 seconds, where his body was last, all that remained were ashes that the cold wind scattered throughout the forest floor.
The cloaked man soon burned the other bodies as well and their ashes were scattered in the same way, as if the wind was completing the rites of the dead for the unworthy bandits. All that truly remained of the one sided conflict was the blood that dyed the grass, colored the ground, and stuck to the air.
Slowly the cloaked man looked at the sky with the twin moons which is usually pale white and warm and say that it was crimson red and it bathed the world in a dim red glow. Around the world, all the people who saw the red moon at night shivered in fear for it was known as the worst omen in all of existence. The man however, was not surprised at and looked as if it was bound to happen eventually. He only turned back towards north slowly and started walking. From his lips only a mysterious whisper was only heard spoken to nobody.
???: “So it has finally started huh… It seems that the time is coming closer…”
