After coming to his senses he ran to his classroom and went inside and luckily the teacher was late so he quietly sits down in his desk but he doesn't even get a chance to breathe as he wakes up with all the girls in the class next to him.
"Where have you been?" One of them asks as if he were her husband.
Confused and red-faced he pokes his nose into a book and reads until the teacher finally shows up and the 2nd class starts so the girls go to their seats in annoyance.
"Man I need to get out of school as soon as possible" Kazuka says to himself in his own mind and the little he inside him is also blushing red in the face
And luckily for Kazuka, the school day seems to have passed like oil through a frying pan and now he watches the sun set on his way home.
The pronounced orange along with the yellow of the sun fascinates Kazuka in a calming way and he takes a deep breath and continues walking home with his eyes on his phone.
"Oh yeah, I need new clothes" says this in his mind and goes to a clothing store near his house.
Entering the shop the sound of the entrance being a ding startles him a little but a man there assures him that everything is fine.
He looks around and sees many types of clothes from baggy to skinny.
His budget is high because he got his school scholarship so he can buy some clothes and pants.
Looking around Kazuka catches his eye with some pretty skinny clothes, some sweatpants and a short sleeved hoodie.
Yeah, he's not very good at picking out clothes. But at least he likes it!
He goes into the dressing room where he takes off his uniform and the shirt he had on underneath and his six-pack made him ashamed of himself.
He touches his six-pack and his breath is thickened for the strange and pleasant sensation he feels.
Anyway he puts that hoodie on and it fits him perfectly, looking in the mirror he even flexes his muscles a bit to see how it looks to him.
After trying on his clothes he goes to buy them and with his new acquisition he walks down the dark street dimly lit by street lamps.
He looks at his phone and remembers the sheet he received from Mrs. Nishimura and blushes again.
When he gets home he puts his school bag on the desk by the front door and takes off his shoes, throwing the cloths into the laundry basket in the bathroom.
Placing his shopping on his desk where the computer is and he sits down and wants to put the virtual reality headset on his head but when he does an error pops up on the screen.
[Sorry but the game does not exist in your computer's memory library].
He takes the virtual reality headset off his head and looks through his computer files realising that the game is no longer in any folder on his computer.
"Oh no! It was the limited game! There are no more CDs with this game!!!" he says frustrated and depressed at the same time.
He looks down at his hands and a sound like a pop-up in the game makes him look up.
[Now do you want to accept the quest?]
[Yes, I accept] [Maybe some other time]
His heart pounds as he stares at this pop-up, not knowing what exactly to do. He stares excessively at this pop-up that doesn't go away even if he says the word 'close'.
"I..."
He says in a soft voice still scared for what could happen next if he accepts and his heart beats even faster, as if wanting to leave his body.
"I...I accept!" He says somewhat prepared for what will follow next and his heart stops beating hard and he can breathe normally.
And it's not all over yet, another pop-up appears in front of him and as he reads this pop-up he says the word 'inventory' followed by the inventory window.
[ Insert the key in here!]
And underneath this text is some sort of...door lock and he grabs the previously received key from the inventory.
The fact that this door lock is floating in mid-air creates increased anxiety for Kazuka not knowing what to expect.
His hand trembles on the key and through his fear and the pounding of his heart that can be heard due to the silence in his room he inserts the key into that lock.
Turning the key in the lock a bright light appears in his room illuminating the whole room and due to his eyes hurting terribly from the light he closes his eyes tightly.
He hears the sounds around him, a flowing river and the sound of birds flying in the sky. And when he opens his eyes he sees the beautiful blue sky and the birds flying.
Looking down though, he sees a flowing river with crystal clear water.
"Am I... in the game?"
Saying the word 'Inventory' Kazuka grabs his swords and looks at them completely fascinated.
[Quest Necessary]
[Find and kill 30 goblins]
[These can be found in caves or dungeons up to level 5, but along the way it wouldn't hurt to find some resources like torches and drinking water]
"Apparently, I really am in the game!" Kazuka says super amazed by everything from the flowing water to the fact that the sound of nature totally calms him down.
This novel's true home is a different platform. Support the author by finding it there.
And out of curiosity he looks inside the flowing water seeing himself and the armor he had on last time he was in the game.
The sun is still reflecting in the flowing water and a fish in that water jumps up scaring Kazuka so badly that he falls to the ground.
He gets up from the ground and looks around and all he sees are trees about 10 metres high so he looks around the shop to buy some bottles to fill with water for the quest.
He buys 3 bottles and fills them, the cold water making him shiver a little and then he gets up from the ground with the filled bottles which he puts in his inventory.
Saying the word 'Details' a panel opens in front of Kazuka with his player details in the game.
[Lv. 40]
[120/120 HP]
[Class: Mage]
[AP(Agility Points): 37]
[Power: 63]
[Power Ability: 56]
"So I'm doing well if I want to fight some monsters."
Walking with his swords in his hands a few rabbits take off running and they stomp on the leaves making sharp dry leaf sounds.
He starts running through the forest to get to a dungeon or cave faster so he can finish his quest and the fallen dry leaves make a sharp sound on the ground.
And after a long time of running his stamina is going so he stops to take a deep breath and lifts his head off the ground looking at the blue sky.
The white clouds covering part of the sky make it look even more beautiful than the sky used to be. And Kazuka sits down on a stump he found in the forest.
He turns his gaze to his super sharp, pointed swords. "One little mistake and I'll gouge my eyes out with this crap," Kazuka says with a laugh and then looks in his inventory for some water to build up his stamina faster.
Taking the water from his inventory he uncorks the cork or at least tries to. "Come on already!!!!" he says and as he pops the cork of the bottle the water splashes on him.
The little him inside slaps himself for how stupid he is.
"Hm" says Kazuka looking at the bottle and seeing that it still has water in it he pours it down his throat.
Once he finishes drinking what's left in that bottle his aura turns blue and his stamina regenerates by 60% so he gets up off the stump and gets into a running stance.
He starts to run further into the forest and looking quickly to his right he sees a bear starting to run after him.
Seeing this Kazuka runs faster and his stamina is depleted even faster because of this. But he decides to hide behind a tree and out of the corner of his eye he looks at the bear.
[Grizzly bear]
[Lv. 21]
"If this bear gets his paws on me I'm his lunch" Kazuka says in his mind and opens his inventory grabbing his swords.
The bear still continues to search for Kazuka behind all the surrounding trees and his anxiety grows as the bear gets closer to him with each step.
However a branch breaks off somewhere in the forest and the bear hearing this heads towards that spot and Kazuka peeks at the bear as it moves away from him.
So out of a desire not to kill it, Kazuka starts to move slowly so as not to make noise but inadvertently steps on some branches on the ground and the bear starts to run towards him.
Out of fear and adrenaline in his blood Kazuka throws one of his swords at the bear but the bear dodges the sword and jumps on Kazuka trying to kill him.
The bear scratches his face and drops 20% of his HP. Kazuka's blood drips down his cheeks and he tries to block the bear's attacks but instead gets another claw from the bear across his stomach.
From the deep pain Kazuka screams in pain and the birds in the trees take flight hearing Kazuka's scream.
And when the bear wants to bite Kazuka's head, he punches the bear in the head, making the bear get off him.
Taking advantage of the bear's inattention he gets up from the ground and now stands face to face with the bear who becomes even more aggressive than it was before.
[Aggression Level: Increased]
Kazuka looks at the message he received from the system and is scared really scared and his hands shake on his sword.
Through his fear and adrenaline he says "I can't call myself a level 40 Mage if I can't kill a simple bear" in his thoughts.
The bear leaps towards him with its claws pointed at Kazuka ready to tear him to pieces.
"One..last try" Kazuka yells and plunges his sword through the bear's body several times.
Out of fear he decides to use his stamina to use his magic on the bear so he does. "Crimson Fire" shouts Kazuka and his sword turns reddish and kills the bear and it turns into thousands of pixels that disappear in just 3 seconds.
[Congratulations on killing 'Grizzly Bear' and as a reward you got 'Bear Eyes']
"Bear eyes?" Kazuka says and the eyes of the bear he killed appear in his hand and it makes him wince and fall on his butt.
Frightened yet excited he looks at the information about this item.
['Bear eyes' these can generally be used to get coins]
"Coins? I could sell these eyes and buy anything else" Kazuka says looking at the pair of eyes in his hand.
He enters the market and looks at the items he can sell and he obviously selects the bear eyes.
['Bear eyes' price is 200 coins, do you want to sell them?]
[Yes] [No]
Thinking pretty carefully about his choice and because he will need the money for later, Kazuka sells the eyes and receives the coins.
[Balance: 1000 coins]
"Not bad at all" Kazuka says and closes all the system windows and now looks around.
He starts looking for his sword in the forest because he can't use just one and it would be better to use two.
Some time has passed and he still hasn't found the sword and he is getting more and more frustrated because he doesn't know where he threw the sword.
The little him inside himself slapped his head and said "I'm so stupid" shaking his head left and right in annoyance.
In any case, he searches for the sword until the sun starts to set and for fear of having no light, he starts to search even more, finally finding it stuck in a tree.
And in his haste he pulls the sword out but it has been so firmly stuck in the tree that his strength is not enough to pull it out.
But with great perseverance he pulled the sword out of the tree but it ended up falling to the ground on branches and leaves.
Getting up from the ground he opens the inventory and luckily has a torch which he lights with his magic.
And with caution and great care he sets off to find a dungeon or cave so he can finish his quest and get out of the game because he's afraid of being late for school the next day.
The light emanating from the torch isn't that bright considering it's just plain wood without a charcoal or cloth on the stick.
He navigates through the forest and as evening falls the predators and also nocturnal animals in general are out looking for food so he started walking faster so he doesn't have to use his stamina to use magic again.
Coming out of the forest he is on a small field that all around is covered with trees and despite the low visibility he notices something, a small stone structure.
Approaching the stone structure he sees that inside it is a continuation, some stone stairs leading down somewhere.
"What could be down there? Is there any good loot down there?" Kazuka says, stepping onto the first step down the stairs.
He goes down another step when suddenly he hears creatures downstairs making strange sounds and then the sounds suddenly stop.
He is startled but continues down and with each step down his skin crawls as he feels a strange presence downstairs.
His footsteps make a loud echo that is hard to ignore even despite trying to be as quiet as possible.
Through the echo of his footsteps he hears his heart thumping loudly in his chest and he looks up the stairs.
The only source of light being the torch he holds tightly in his hand.
He goes further down and looks behind him and sees that he has come extremely far down so far and still hasn't reached the bottom of the stairs.
Stepping even lower with his heart up to his throat he hears something like feet crossing the ceiling rather than the stairs.
It stretches a little to illuminate more ahead and out of the darkness he sees 8 reddish eyes.
Kazuka's heart almost jumps out of his chest as he realizes that there is a giant spider coming towards him.
But instead of standing still he runs deeper down the stairs and the spider chases him but inadvertently Kazuka falls down the stairs ending up at the bottom of the stairs with -50% taken from his life due to the impact.
He gets up from the floor and looks towards the stairs and still sees those reddish eyes approaching him but being in total darkness from the torch that went out on impact.
Kazuka's heart is pounding so without a second thought he runs in any direction he sees and after much running and much echoing made by his footsteps he stops.
He also notices that the spider hasn't been chasing him for a long time so he sits down and catches his breath.
And his eyes manage after a while to adjust to the darkness of the location he is in and he notices some strange moves.
He shrinks his eyes to get a better look at what is there but is taken by surprise by a goblin who almost decapitates him but thanks to Kazuka's body response he escapes this fate.
[Lv. 5 Goblin]
"I can kill it?" Kazuka asks himself and pulls out his swords from his inventory and quickly gets up from the ground.
The goblin leaps to attack but Kazuka dodges it and decapitates it in a swift sword swing and many pixels come out and disappear from it.
[Congratulations on killing 'Goblin' and as a reward you got 'Goblin Sword']
[You killed 1/30 goblins]
[To be able to return to the real world you need to kill all 30 goblins]
Kazuka takes a deep breath and puts his swords back in his inventory and looks at the system panel.
"Only 1 goblin out of 30, I've got a long way to go before I can get out of the game" he says this in his thoughts and runs his hand along his chin.
He accesses the market to sell the sword to the goblin and scrolling to find the sword he looks around briefly to make sure nothing is coming at him.
['Goblin Sword' price is 250 coins, do you want to sell it?]
[Yes] [No]
Without a second thought Kazuka sells the sword and receives coins and now he looks for some torches on the market.
"To be able to see anything around here I need at least 3 torches, the duration of a torch is 1 hour in the game and I'll be here for at least 4 hours but I'll buy more later" Kazuka says and scrolls through the market to find torches to buy.
After a short time of searching he finds the torches and buys 3 for 150 coins and lights one of them and puts the rest in his inventory and closes all system windows.
"I hope to get out of the game so I can get to school in time," Kazuka says as he walks with his torch in his hand through the area that seems quite large in both length and width.
He walks through the place with the torch in his hand and the sound of the torch is calming but at the same time unsettling for Kazuka, making him feel anxious so he pulls out one of his swords to be ready for anything.
He looks around and there are vines and stalactites on the walls and ceiling, the stalactites having a small dripping drip on the floor of the place and the sound of the drips is quite chillingly sharp.
He is a little fascinated by the detail of the game and even touches a wall, feeling the vines on his hand and this gives him an impluse down his spine.
"I don't remember the game being this detailed in these underground areas," Kazuka says as he turns his gaze back to the front and continues walking, his footsteps making a relatively loud echo in the place.
Kazuka continues to walk through this passage and still doesn't know if it's a dungeon or just a simple cavern.
But still something that caught his attention made him curious to check it out, there was a sign that was written on it two different directions, one in front and the other on the right but he didn't necessarily get the message.
"Hmm, what's that supposed to mean? Could this be...a dungeon derailed?" Kazuka says in his mind and rubs his head not knowing a sure answer.
Derailed dungeons are dungeons where there are 2 or more paths to similar or different places. These dungeons contain many monsters but also a lot of loot.
Kazuka walks through the place where he is, his footsteps no longer echoing but still quite loud on the stone floor of the place.
Shining his torch he sees another path ahead, a narrower one but it seems a little shorter than the one he's walked so far.
"If it's really a dungeon derailed I'll get a lot of loot and then I can sell them for coins" says Kazuka excited and ready to walk down that narrow path.
/Chapter 2/ Finished.
