"Oh, I just remember Ailen asked to help him testing a special maze that he and some other council members created a few days ago. Do you guys wanted to check it out with me?” Miguel said.

“I want!! I want!!!” Fren answered enthusiastically.

“Fren we have class after this,” Elone said.

“Say the one who sleeps all the time.” Fren rolled his eyes.

“We can skip. Our class do not care much about the attendance”

“I have something I have to do with Hyline,” Yelma said. He actually did not want to attend any of one of the council experiment. Usually, he was the first one to help them to tested something and it always *unexpected. It really unusual Ailen and the council members asked anyone else to be his victim. Is he some kind of tool? It always a question to him. This is weird circumstances that Ailen asked others. Maybe it not really dangerous.

Actually because of Yelma special skill, ‘Instinct,’ he always being the first choice by the councils to test something that might too *unpredictable. Moreover, he can memorize everything by just see it or read it. He really useful specimen.

“How unfortunate. I heard from Ailen, Milka will be in delight if you join us up. She helps a bit on creating the maze.”

Yelma turned sparkle then he shakes his head. ‘No. I will not be trick this time!’ “Sorry, not this time,” Yelma said and immediately speed away from the others.

“Hmm... Nevermind. Fren do you ever went into a maze before?” Miguel chattering as they on their way toward the maze place near the council building.

“No. I just read about it. But why is the council creating a maze?” Fren asked.

“Each year the council will create some kind of place for the students to have fun. It all from the fund that collected from the students. Last year it was a ghost building.” Miguel said. 

But most of the council creation usually either extremely success or fail miserably. The ghost building they created was okay at first but because of too much enchantment were put with some kind of strange seal causing some dark spirit started live there with ghouls and undead. It was close for the students after a week since it created because it was too dangerous for normal students. Miguel did not tell anything about that to Fren and Elone.

“Oh. Okay.”

“Wow!! This really big! This whole wall place is the maze?” Fren exclaimed excitedly.

“Hi, Evita(council member ‘intel’). Where is Ailen?” Miguel greeted someone who just walked by.

“Good to see you here, Miguel. Ailen is in his council room. Still checking a few things about the clubs registration that will happen next week and their club places with Tasnia(Secretary).”

“Is the maze is ready to use?”

“I will ask Ailen.” she closed her eyes for a minute. “Ailen said to wait. He will be here in a second.” Evita has a special skill ‘telepathy’.

“Okay.”

“Elone and Mafren, right?” Evita asked with a slight smile.

“Yes. Nice to meet you.”

“Sorry, I need to go. See you next time.” Evita patted Fren before went away. 

After 3 minutes Ailen arrived. “Oh.. My cute Fren” Ailen quickly grabbed Fren into him. “I really wanted a little brother from a long time ago~”

“Stop! Need to breath” Fren almost suffocated. He let his guard off for a moment, did not realize Ailen approached.

“Here. Take this before you go in.”

“What is this?” Fren asked in curiosity on what was the white transparent stone that Ailen gave him.

“Just the last resort in case you stuck too long inside the maze.”

“What about me? And Elone?” Miguel questioned.

“I do not think you guys need it besides, I do not have much of that escape stone. Moreover, I need people to test how much time it take to go out.” Ailen smile suspiciously.

“Now.. Enjoy.”

Ailen opened the entranced to went inside the maze. Is being decorated by colorful and a good aroma smell from the flowers. After six minutes walked, found a dead end, walked and found the dead end, walked, dead end, walked, dead end, walked and the dead end. They at last found a weird path that full with shining stones.

“This is not fun!” Fren growled.

“True.” Elone nodded.

“Hmm, too much area. The distant also really far. I think this is just the first trap or riddle or whatever it is out of 99 that was set up. I helped a bit on giving the ideas but the others kept added something. So watch out.”

“Okay. But there was nothing here!” Fren nagging while pouted.

“Just wait okay Fren. I will look at what it is. I have a good reflex.” Elone said.

“I do not think it is a trap,” Miguel said as he went beside Elone.

Then the light green stone glowed and a few word appeared.

“You eat something you neither plant nor plow,

It is a son of water but if water touches it, it dies.” Miguel read the words that appeared.

“Huh?” Fren a few meter away totally blank.

“I think I know what it is,” Elone said.

“Ice” “Salt” Both Elone and Miguel answered simultaneously. “What?” both of them shocked with their different answered. Then a hole appeared beneath them.

“Wait!!” Fren was left alone. “What should I do now?”

Then Fren went toward the light green stone after that, a new riddle appeared. ‘Bury deep, pile of stone, my mind will always dig them bone’.

“What is this?!! How I suppose to know?!!!” Fren frustrated. “This question totally ridiculous!!” “Stone? Head? Skeleton??” Then the riddle change into a new riddle since all Fren answered were wrong. ‘At night they come without being fetched, and by the day they lost without being stolen’.

“Grrrr…. I hate this” Fren growled trying to solve the riddle alone.
