“2 Goblins…distance, 50 meters…hmm…they haven’t noticed me yet…”.
50 meters right ahead of me, are 2 goblins, the goblins do really have some similarities with the one that was depicted in all Earth entertainment media. They were short, just barely reaching my waist. as for their appearance, well, They have ugly, distorted pointy ears, large eyes completely black with no pupil at all, large bulbous noses, and quite a sizeable mouth with protruding fangs. They hold no weapon at all, just wearing the common troupe of their famous loincloth made out of rotted rag.
“It would be great if I got some [Identify] right now…just so that I can see what the system says about them….”.
There’s a good skill called [Identify] that can be bought, in the [Special] tab. It was another staple skill for the transmigrate folks, but I didn’t get it yet. I should unlock them later so that I can learn more about my enemy. That skill can be used on anything so it was useful to have them.
“Let’s try whether firearms worked or not….
Staying still where I stood, I prepared, turned off the safety, and aimed right at the goblins that were on the right side, as this one was ahead of the 2. Both of them were just loitering around, not speaking at all, and naturally completely oblivious of me.
“Chik!!…Chik?…”.(Goblin 2)
“Chik?…
Goblin 2 is looking at his fellow goblin as if speaking to each other. Suddenly screeches as if in puzzled, because on his friend's large head, there is a shining red dot on it, Goblin 2 tries to ask his friend if he has a new toy to play with and he hides it from him. Instead, as soon as Goblin 1 tried to speak, a deafening sound shocked the 2, and in an instant, Goblin 1 head was gone, wet and slosh sound followed, green blood and bits of skin and flesh scattered all over the place. Goblin 1 was now headless, and the lifeless body fell with a dull thud sound.
“CH…
Like the fate of Goblin 1, Goblin 2 also landed the same fate, its head was blown to pieces before it could even screech.
“[ 2 Feral Goblin killed Obtained 10 Experience Points ]”.
“[Ding! You have leveled up!.]”.
“[ Ding! Successfully hunted a monster for the first time Experience point collection has opened…you can now level up..]”.
“Well….good for me, I guess….2 headshots killed instantly….good to know that….then, again…this is real life now, which such vital part gone..anything will die…also….guns…do work…hehehe…”.
The logic of the real world applied, I am sure that Health points or HP do play an important part in signifying one's vitality and health. Still, deadly wounds and fatal injuries kill, just like in real life, I am glad that I confirmed that firsthand, I can now be more careful when adventuring. I also have debunked the common troupe that modern weaponry is ineffective, because I just killed 2 goblins with my Shotgun, and literally blasted their heads off.
“Oh..when monsters die, that happened to their body….I’m sure this only happened in the dungeon, tho…oh…an item drop…”.
I walked toward the 2 dead and headless goblins, another fact confirmed, they stink like heck and they have green blood. As I got close, a minute passed and right before my eyes, the 2 headless bodies became a scattering light with sparkling light slowly ascending, like a magic dust flowing. And what remained on the dead body place was one crude knife with a shabby wooden handle on goblin 1 place and a leather pouch on goblin 2 place. I put the knife inside my [Inventory], and for the leather pouch, I picked them up and opened it.

“...Ten silver coin….this goblin despite being in dungeon…are quite well off…”.
There are 10 Silver coins in the pouch, 2 inches in diameter, and 10 centimeters thick. The coin has the letter ‘UC’ on one side and a ‘$’ on the other, this is the Lothenheim silver coin, all of Lothenheim currency has this marking, and the entire world uses this currency, as this is the currency that was approved by Lothenheim system. After confirming and checking the loot, I put both drops inside my [Inventory].

“...Leveled up..on my first floor and first day…quite nice that finally there is a progress can be seen…”.
Opening my status screen, with my level up, I now have 1 free point for status attributes and skills that I can invest in whatever I want. And since I am a Mage now, I have to invest some points into my intelligence attributes, I kinda wanted to add the point and buy some more skills. But I held back, this is not the time and place to make a critical choice. Those points are precious and they need to be treated as such, so instead, I close the window and put 2 shells inside my shotgun.
“
Motivated and fired up, this time I am eager to go on a hunt. I confirmed a lot of things today and all of them are going to make my adventuring more effective than ever. Today I’m going to shower all the goblins with lead pellets and they won’t know what hit them. Going forward for about 100 meters or so, I saw another goblin, and just like the last time, there are 2 of them as well.
“CHIK!!…CHIKKK!!!..”.(Goblins)
“Well…I give you all that…the shot sound is loud enough to echo everywhere….But…that is not going to change a thing…
Granted that the shot sound is loud, this goblin duo is now on alert, and in high tension, at all time both of them were looking all over the place. I was about 60-50 meters away from them, with an all-black outfit and muffled steps, they couldn’t see me at all. Given the goblin's low intellect, both of them weren’t moving at all, just stayed where they were, standing right in the middle of the road. So I did the most obvious thing, and that was, firing 2 shots from my trusted shotgun again. The result is, 2 more dead and headless goblin, following the now will become a habit ritual, I went and collected the loot. There was only one item this time, and it was just a Leather pouch, with the same amount of silver coins as before, just 10 silver coins.

“Magic Missile!…Magic Missile!!…”.
“
It had been 5 hours since I entered Dungeon first floor, and I had walked for over 5 kilometers far, the structure of the dungeons was not at all straight, it curved, with corners and twists. There are quite a lot of rooms as well, naturally, I cleared them all as soon as I encountered them, and as for the goblins that I encountered, I tried all sorts of attacks and tactics on them. I used my Handgun, Shotgun, Machete, fist and kick, and [Magic Missile], all of which were equally effective. But so far, the most enjoyable, safe, and cheapest method is using a magic spell, [Magic Missile] that I can one-shot the goblin at any time. As long as it hit the target, they died in an instant and their body parts exploded.
Cast magic is not that hard at all, for my [Magic Missile] all that I have to do is point my index finger at the target, and utter the magic spell then it just happens. The effective range of the spell is about 100 meters, the ball of condensed mana will shot out in a straight line, dealing damage on hit, but if missed around 200 meters or so, the magic projectile would just slowly fizzle out into nothing, and after the 100-meter range the damage will be lessened as well. Hence I am making the [Magic Missile] effective range within 150 meters.
Killing goblins using the advantage of range in the first floor is quite easy for me, the same goes in close combat as well.Goblins are quite weak, as for their combat power, for me is quite flimsy, they have no coordination, nor skills to engage in combat. They fight like savage and mindless animals, just charging ahead, trying to scratch and bite at their prey. All I had to do was utilize my range, either bait them to make a big move and go for the kill, or just pin them down. Still, it was an undeniable fact that if someone with no combat experience fighting these goblins, the possibility of them dying is quite high.
After all, Goblins do not retreat, they just mindlessly charge forward to try to bite and eat you. So far I got no injury at all, but my stamina does dim a little bit, and the range that I have traversed is not small, and the goblins that I have fought and killed, right now is already passed 50, more precisely 56 goblins. In terms of respawn, no defeated goblins have respawned yet, I have checked it, by walking back to the place where I last killed the goblins, and there is nothing there at all.
Also, the goblins' numbers aren’t fixed at one or two per encounter, I noticed that the farther I walked, the more goblins in one group, I’m guessing that I am getting closer to the entrance of the second floor.
“Oh…I’m right…..that’s a big clearing….and the goblins….hmm…there is 5 of them this time…..okay…let’s go for brutality this time….Magic Missile!..
Right in front of me, was a big clearing shaped like a dome, it was the end of the cave, it looked similar to the many cave rooms I had encountered before, only this one, was bigger. There are 5 Feral goblins in the middle of the room, with the possible end in sight, I did not hold back at all. I started my attack with a single [Magic Missile], which hit one of the goblins, killing it instantly.
“CHIIKK!!!…CHHIKKK!!!..”.
“Yeah, I killed your friend so come at me!….Just..like that!….
Fueled with anger, hunger, and just wanting to kill me, the goblins started screeching. I even taunted them more, to rile them up, and it worked, but like a mindless monster that they are, they ran at me in a single file.
