Episode 12-The Need To Become A DIY Expert

“...Alright….that’s quite a lot…still…goblin leathers….is quite good…”.

Compared to its name, goblin leather is actually quite a high-quality leather, and also it is not as gross as its origins. The dropped leather comes in a clean and already processed leather, fully dried and tanned, ready to be used, this is why I felt safe to touch them, it is even smoother and more durable compared to my high-quality cow leather belt, which I always wear. The goblin leather always comes in a 1x1 meter roll, and it always dropped like this, as for the Goblin daggers, they too always come in a uniformed pattern, always looked tattered, and chipped blades always appeared at the same exact spot.

The dropped items are quite similar to their in-game looks, which is amazing and also quite scary to me that in real life the game aspect still followed into real life. As I got back from Bobbie's house, immediately I started working, composing my hit list, which was surprisingly easy, turns out, that there were a lot of troublesome and arrogant rich folks that in deserving some life lesson, so all of them made the list. On the corporate business side, those that treated their workers, customers, and other businesses like shit, all of them made the list, so the lists composing is quite fast for me to do them, hence I let that list pinned on my corkboard, and researched Lothenheim and also reviewing my recent experienced.

“...I can turn all this dagger into raw materials, for me to craft something else…but for that I need the Smiths and crafting skills….Hmmm…at the end I need to reach level 10 first and also get that safe dungeon floor, before I can proceed with anything…”.

Knowing now that the dungeons I own are clearly based on Lothenheim, I can refer to the many information known in the game. As a player in the game, I have my own records of information, also in the forum, we as the community have also made a page/ wiki about the game and its entirety, it is a complete guide to everything. This is how I confirmed that the Goblin Daggers, Goblin Leather, and Rotted Fabric, are the same dropped items that a player can obtain from Feral Goblins, by comparing the game image and the one that I have in my hand, both look identical, so on that part, it already confirmed my deductions.

All 3 drop items that I have is all colorless items, meaning all of them were useless, and can only be served a raw material, to craft another new item. But to craft or even turn these colorless items, I need a few skills, to utilize them to their fullest potential, as these items conform to the rules of Lothenheim world, to use them I need to do it the Lothenheim way as well. A Smithing skill and crafting skill are needed, and then I also need a skill called [Deconstruct], a very crucial skill in crafting that lets you recycle anything, and it will give out raw materials from the items you cast it on. One of the skills that is also on my favorite lists, because this seemingly mundane skill, if it were leveled up to max, it can even deconstruct a legendary item, and also give

out all the raw materials in all perfect conditions, and that is what made this skill great.

Imagine if you try to craft an item and you fail, if a player does not have a [Deconstruct] skill, all the item invested would be simply lost, but with this skill, you can cast it on the failed item, and you can get your precious materials back, hence you can craft your item again until you succeed in crafting the item you want. Everyone uses this skill and loves it, the developer knows that this skill is kinda of cheating, but they did not patch it at all, and somehow just treated it as a feature. So for the smoothness of my future life, I need to get this skill for myself, preferably get it as soon as I can.

Even in Lothenheim the game, 90% of the most powerful items in the game, be it weapons, tools, or armor, all of them were created by the players themselves, none of the NPC, or I should call them the natives now, none of them were able to create any items above rare ranks. All items that were at legendary rank and the ones above them, mythical ranks, were all just products of either dungeon boss drop or ancient ruins treasures. So the materials to create a high-tier item are already rare, hence I from this knowledge I know that most of my items would only be created by me. The world of Lothenheim is a world that is very friendly and welcoming to the players, as for the natives, it is not so much, the highest leveled natives in Lothenheim are around level 80, and that was about it.

A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.

Meanwhile, the monsters can even get to level 100 and even higher, this is why Lothenheim is a dangerous world to be in. But initially, for the players, the max level is Level 999, basically once reaching that level, nothing would pose any threat to you at all, even the monsters usually capped at level 120 or so. This is why the player that reaches that max level can just enjoy their slice of life play style, become an emperor, chase skirts, be a merchant, or become a famous hero, when you get to that level nothing can kill you anymore, hence you started to enjoy what else the game can offer. I also belonged to this level 999 player, which to reach the level it took me a full 2 years to reach it. Right now in the game, I am just doing a merchant role play, venturing from place to place to both explore and also trade with the natives.

Though such a gaming mentality had to cease from me, as soon, that world would be real for me and it would be the one that I would be living for the rest of my life. So all in all, I had to get a lot of things ready all just for my comfortable life later on. For now, I need to get to the 5th floor of the dungeon and also reach level 10, so that I can buy crafting skills. After sorting all the dropped items and putting them into boxes and stacking them in the corner of my living room, it is time for me to prepare for my second venture down the dungeon. Personally, I preferred going down at night time, since it is dark, and the dungeon followed Earth time, it was also very dark in the dungeon. With my night vision and torchlight, I have no issue at all hunting monsters, since the dark time also limits their sight as well. Not to mention after 10 PM there were a lot of monsters who actually went to sleep, which made it even an easier battle for me.

Like yesterday, I once donned my equipment and opened the door to my personal dungeon, this time Passing through the door, it was not as queasy as before, I felt just fine. The feeling as if I went passed a membrane does persist, but it does not bother me as much as before. Like yesterday, I at the beginning of the 1st floor, standing right inside the large cave hallway, clear of any nearby monsters and just a large cave hallway readied for me to explore and exploit them. I know that the Monsters has respawned back, as it is already 1 hour passed the monster respawned time, so will be clearing the 1st floor today and also going down the second floor as well. So to at least make it as soon as possible to the second floor, I ran the entire way.

“CHIK!!..CHIK!!…”.(Goblins)

2 goblins saw me running at them, and as their natural reaction, both of them decided that it was a good idea to make a clawing gesture from afar in an attempt to scare me. But instead, before they even moved they both got pelleted by 12 gauge bullets and died.

…shut it goblins….always at the same place they spawn before…and always with the same antics….”.

They respawned at the same location where I found them yesterday, I might not remember all the spawn points, but I do remember some of them, so I knew that these goblins respawned at the same location they did before, and it seems like it was a fixed dungeon mechanic. Which is great news for me, as this would make my job easy and I can just farm them with ease. As always every time I killed the goblins I picked up their drop, every 30 minutes I would stop and rest, and then continue running as I did before. The dungeon is quite big and the distance that I had to cover is quite substantial, but before it took me hours, is because I am moving slowly and carefully. This time I am moving at a faster rate, and in each battle, I am not hesitating as there are no unexpected variables. Just a bunch of goblins, placed at the same spot, and all of them just died with a single shot of my trusted shotgun.

“Chiikk?….Chiikk!!!…...”.(Goblins)

“Magic Missile!…Magic Missile!….their range of perception is just poor….Magic Missile…”.

Right now, I am just shy away from the last 1st floor cave room, and like yesterday there were 5 goblins in the middle of the room. And at this moment, I am bombarding with my [Magic Missile] spell from 120 meters away near the entrance of the last room. Turns out their range of perception in the dark is even worse than I initially thought.

“Chik!..…”.(Last Goblin)

“You all can just come forward a little bit…yet..you all decided to just stand around at the same place despite one by one of you..died…I guess, thanks for the free experience points, then…”.
