Ready or not here I come

Ready or not here I come

Ten years ago, an asteroid hit the Earth's atmosphere and burst into flames that fell from the sky like burning stars. It fell with such great force into the Earth's very core, taking everything in its surroundings with it. As time passed, it was later discovered by a group of researchers near an ancient temple of MA'AKADAL. Its source had blessed the temple of Ma'akadal with vast, unimaginable wonders, but what came as a blessing also came with a curse: the beast of Ma'akadal. An ancient beast infused with the power of a fallen star granted by the asteroid that crash-landed on earth, empowering and awakening something that was thought to be a myth, a legend that was long forgotten.

"This temple is older than the prehistoric time of humanity, long before the creatures of the earth were formed," said Professor Hadar. "Its origins are yet unknown to humanity, as most theories claim it to be of an alien origin."

"Are you insinuating that aliens walked the earth before humanity?" asked Dr. Grace.

"Professor Hadar is no doubt one of the brightest minds in our research facility, but his faithlessness in spiritualism is questionable," said Dr. Salami, as the research group all laughed.

"Unfortunately, science has clouded his other side of spiritual enlightenment," said Professor Aisha. "Allah is the creator of the universe, and neither science nor numbers could prove where Allah comes from."

"Science is God, Professor Aisha," replied Professor Hadar. "Science and numbers are the very concrete evidence of our existence, and it is the source of creation, and Allah, your God (air quotes), is also a part of the mathematical frequency." And then they all laughed.

"It's always a pleasure working with you, Professor Hadar. Your sense of humor is what makes the team progress," Dr. Salami said.

Suddenly, they heard a loud roar from somewhere they were unaware of. The loud roar came with a stenchy breath that extinguished their flaming lights all at once.

"Eww!!!..." said Professor Aisha. "What's that smell?"

"So offensive," said Dr. Salami. "As we are not the only ones here."

They all took out their bright flashlights and ventured deep into the ancient temple, but Professor Hadar was skeptical about something. Something he was familiar with when he heard the sound, as he seemed to have recalled it from an ancient book of knowledge about the creature of the temple.

A few minutes later, they arrived at their destination, the heart of the temple. There, they saw three ancient tribal leader statues. One seemed to cover its eye and appeared to be a male statue, the other, which was a female statue, seemed to have her left hand at the back of her earlobe, like someone trying to listen for something. The last one, which was an elderly male statue, appeared to cover its mouth to prevent speaking.

The three statues represented an ancient meaning to the culture and temple. The first was to see no evil, the second was to listen for hope, solution, and a way out, and the last statue was to speak no evil. When they turned around, the researchers also found out that where they stood was like a secret cult in the heart of the temple, where the tribal cultures all gathered themselves together as they were all in the form of statues.

"This place gives me the creeps," said Dr. Grace, who looked around and examined some parts.

Professor Hadar took note of his surroundings, which also seemed to observe the body language of the statues in the open space. The way he did his thing gave him an edge to figure out why these statues were orderly placed. When he realized a little boy statue was pointing towards a bright, glowing object that was bound to a massive chain that still clung, he drew nearer to it and saw an inscription of an ancient text language engraved on it, and he alerted the others.

"What does it mean, Professor?" asked Dr. Grace.

"This language is older than humanity," replied Professor Hadar, which awed his crew members.

"It's neither Hebrew nor Greek nor Aramaic," said Professor Aisha.

Then Professor Hadar read and interpreted the language to his colleagues, which came as a warning message to humanity. While they were in the middle of their discussion, Dr. Salami accidentally pulled out a bright, glowing object that was bound to a massive chain, which broke something loose from its imprisonment. The shocking moment made the group go helter-skelter, not knowing what to do, as it killed Dr. Salami instantly.

"Allah, please save us," said Professor Aisha before being consumed by the mouth of the ginormous creature.

Every step it took shook the core of the ancient temple. It roared like an earthquake, shattering everything in plain sight. Dr. Grace held onto the glowing object, which fell off of Dr. Salami after his demise, while they ran for safety. It hardly chased them as they ran, and when they successfully got out of the temple, the massive creature burst through the walls, shattering and collapsing the entire massive temple into the abyss.

Finally, its face was revealed for all to see. Left with two survivors, Dr. Grace and Professor Hadar, they were in shock to see how massive the creature was. Its height couldn't be measured with the depths of the heavens. Its face was barely seen by them as the creature could see them like tiny specks of dust.

Its growl was so loud that it destroyed every mountain within that vicinity, pulling down every tree like it was nothing, causing tremendous earthquakes in an instant. Fear paralyzed them, preventing them from moving from their spot while they witnessed the creature reshaping its massive size to a less massive height in comparison. The size it took was described as that of the world's tallest skyscraper.

The creature could sense the presence of the glowing object from Dr. Grace, which it telepathically controlled her to see its face. Staring into the creature's eyes was like looking at a bright burning star.

Dr. Grace said:

"Behold, its eyes were brighter than celestial bodies, greater than any sun in the cosmos. Its face is ineffable to speak; it is terrifying and could cause death to any who dare to look upon it. It is something I've never seen nor come across in my entire life. It is not of this world, nor is it of any world that can be described. It is powerful and immortal. It is life and death, and it holds the key to humanity. It came before us, and it will forever live after us. It is imperishable, and all kingdoms would succumb to its might, and none can tame this beast. It was bound for eternity, now being released upon the generation of man. Our nonchalant deeds have caused us the entropic doom of our world. It is God to us; therefore, let us worship it in fear. Let us not anger its might so that we may not be consumed by its wrath in our agony. It is ageless, and forever will be.

"Let it be known that this nameless creature we call BORE is the alpha and omega. Ready or not, it will surely emerge."

The sayings of Dr. Grace narrated by her as the only survivor of her group were told to the world as a warning that none should look for this unspeakable monster that pitied humanity on her behalf, which now rests at the depths of the sea. Her partner, Professor Hadar, was killed by the creature, and the reason for Dr. Grace's survival was that she gave the glowing object to the creature, which consumed it and spared her life to give the testimony of her survival.
