*UNKOWN LOCATION*

"God my head! Did I get roofied or something?" Alex asked himself, attempting to understand what had happened to him.

"Is this what getting roofied feels like? I mean, I was curious what it felt like, but if this is what it's like then I don't want to experience that kind of thing." Alex complained.

With his vision no longer blurry and adjusted slightly to the dark of the room he was in, Alex decided to look around for any possible exits.

"Looks like I'm in an old stone building or something." Alex pointed out to himself.

Looking around some more he noticed a small ray of light shining through what looked to be a crack.

Still unsteady on his feet, Alex slowly made his way over to the ray of light. Upon closer inspection the crack seemed to be a gap in-between some old planks.

Curious, Alex tried to pry the planks off of whatever it was they were covering. With a few pulls the boards of wood fame flinging off, carrying Alex along with them. With the planks gone the light was able to brighten the room, at the costs of Alex's eyes.

"Shit! My eyes!" Alex screamed dramatically while covering his eyes.

After rolling on the floor in over exaggerated pain, Alex decided to check what the source of light was.

Royal Road is the home of this novel. Visit there to read the original and support the author.

"That's the sun... I think." Alex wasn't entirely sure, as what he saw was bigger and red. He was almost certain that the sun wasn't supposed to look like that.

"Well I guess I'm not in Kansas anymore." Alex said while looking away from the "sun" and checking out his surroundings.

He noticed that he was on the second floor of what earlier had earlier guessed was an old stone house. Other than that he also noticed that the house he was in was surrounded by stone houses very much like this one.

"Not very modern is it?" Alex mused.

Deciding he had seen enough, Alex turned his attention to the room he was in. Now that it was brightened up Alex instantly noticed a couple things.

"This the owner of the house?" Alex asked while examining an old skeleton huddled in a corner. "Guess things didn't end well for him."

After giving a small prayer for the unfortunate person, alex turned towards the other thing that he saw.

"Let's just hope this door leads to the first floor." Alex said while opening and walking out of said door.

With his first step out the door the floor, which was made out of wood, creaked a bit but Alex assumed that was because it was settling. The assumption didn't prove to be right as the floor broke causing Alex to fall through.

"FUUUUUUUU-AGH!" Alex screamed on his way down to the first floor.
