--------------------------------------
It was bright, despite the fact she was supposed to be in her room. She didn't want to open her eyes to see what was causing the light, fearing that someone had kidnapped her and was examining her. She just laid there hoping that something would happen to indicate otherwise, and it came.
*WOOSH*
A strong breeze of wind which pointed to her being outside, but not why.
Gathering a small amount of courage, she opened eyes. What she saw was blue and white.
'Sky.' Alex thought. It was quite a weird sky, as the shade of blue seemed to be slightly off somehow. Maybe it was a bit too blue? She didn't know.
Figuring that she wasn't being experimented on at least, she sat up to examine her surroundings.
'High' Was what came to Alex's mind. She appeared on a tower, and quite a tall one. She could see for miles, but all she saw were forests.
Determining that she most likely wasn't in her room anymore, she stood up to peer over the edge of her tower.
'Really high'. Alex was indeed very high up. She couldn't judge the distance, but she tell that the tower was very old by the state of it. There chunks missing here and there, and what looked to be stairs that had been whittled away by time.
'Too far. Can't survive the fall.' Alex was sure she wouldn't be able to make it down like that, even with her abilities.
She would have to figure out another way down.

*CRAAAAACK*
Though it sounded like she was running out of time.
*CRUMBLE*
The tower had shifted, leaving Alex suspended in the air for a second before she crashed down onto the floor roughly. She didn't expect it so she was left winded from it, causing her to lose precious seconds of time.
'Need to move.' Alex thought urgently. She desperately stood up and rushed to the edge of the platform atop the tower. She hugged onto the decorative pillar as if it was her lover, and steeled herself for the fall.
*CRUMBLE*
There was another breakage in the tower, leaving it unsupported on one side. The tower couldn't hold and it began to crack and tilt.
It was falling.
It wasn't even seconds before the top of the tower had ripped itself from it's body and began it's free fall of destruction.
'Not yet' Alex told herself. She had to time it right or this would be the end for her.
The top was nearing the ground.
'Now!' Alex screamed in her head.
She jumped.
She had prepared herself for it and was sure she wouldn't come out unscathed, but she could only hope the injuries weren't severe enough to kill her.
She didn't have time to look back and check if she was going to make it far enough, she had to focus. Focus.
She concentrated on herself, as if trying to slow her descent by pure will. Most would think that such a thing wouldn't work, and that she was only going to die doing foolish thing. Those people wouldn't be able to believe their eyes. She was slowing down.
It wasn't enough though. The landing was still going to heavy, but she couldn't slow herself anymore than she already had. he only thing she could think to do was tuck, roll, and hope she didn't die.
