TWO DAYS LATER
Ein and Raiy can already turn their body to the side. They were now lying prone on the mat.
Ein was right now in the middle of writing something on the ground. After finishing it, he taps Raiy. Turning his head, Raiy notices the word that Ein writes on the ground.
“Let’s talk about our body.”
Raiy tilted his head with a wide-open eyes. He was surprised by what he read. Ein too, is surprised by Raiy's reaction. Raiy is really a reincarnator.
As soon as Raiy comes back to his senses, he quickly writes something on the ground.
"So, Ein, you are a reincarnator too?”
“Yeah, but first, let me tell you that I don’t want to talk about our past lives. I don’t want to miss my family.”
“I see, okay.”
“Then let’s start the discussion. Do you remember when our mother used a magic before? There is a chance that we can separate our body.”
Ein wants to give hope to his other half; he wants to motivate him and not let him get depressed. After all, if he is a reincarnator, having two heads must be quite a shock.
With a look of realization, Raiy started writing on the ground.
"You are correct. That idea doesn't occur to me. I even have already resolved to live with this body."
"That's right—the body. I want to discuss how we will live and how we will share our body until we can separate it.”
“Go on.”
“On a normal day, we will get one hand each. We will not share it. I will use the left hand since I’m on the left. And you use the right hand. It’s full-time use. But whoever has something important to do, the other must give full control of the body. For when we can already walk, different from the hand, we must share the usage of our foot. Let’s say, the time when we wake up is sixteen hours. That means eight hours for each of us. It’s not consecutive. Maybe there is a time when one of us uses more than eight hours. That’s fine, if it’s an important matter.”
A case of content theft: this narrative is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
Being lazy, Raiy writes,
“Can you summarize it? Maybe because I’m still a baby, I can’t understand it all.”
With an annoyed face, Ein writes,
“I get the left hand; you get the right hand. We share the foot.”
Raiy gives a smile to Ein after reading it.
“Thank you.”
Then, with a face of realization, Raiy suddenly writes,
“Hey, don’t you think we are growing too fast? It’s just two days since we were born. But we already can turn our body.”
“Don’t ask. It’s a world with magic.”
“Ah, I see.”
...
It’s become quiet for a moment.
Breaking the silence, Raiy then starts to write something.
“Are you a boy in your previous life? I’m not talking about what you don’t want to talk about. So, I think this question is fine. C'mon, I’m bored.”
“Yes, I’m a boy.”
“Do you have a girlfriend?”
“No.”
“Do you have a crush?”
‘Damn, even if he is bored, his question is really worthless. Playing tic-tac-toe will be better than talking with him.’
Ein draws a tic-tac-toe board on the ground. He is not answering what Raiy has asked.
Knowing that Ein doesn’t want to talk anymore, Raiy looks disappointed. But he draws a circle on the tic-tac-toe board instead. Since he is bored, he doesn’t have a reason to refuse playing.
Ten rounds, and it’s always a draw. Getting bored, when playing, Ein thinks about a lot of things. He then realizes something.
“Hey, before, you promised not to say anything about my family that I didn't want to talk about. But you're asking about my girlfriend."
"First, a girlfriend is still not a family. Second, from our conversation, somehow I feel that you still don’t have a girlfriend.”
Slap!
Ein slaps Raiy on the cheek with the right hand. Ein feels like he is being insulted.
‘Aw, it hurts. We are even sharing the pain. Damn.’
Ein got hurt too.
“Heeeey, it's just a joke. Don’t be so angry.”
From here on, Ein doesn’t respond to whatever Raiy says. Ein starts to draw, alone. Raiy, too, gave up on Ein and started to draw instead.
A few minutes passed, and both of them were still drawing.
From the door, Everi is peeking at the both of them with a sparking eyes.
Coincidentally, Ein saw Everi peeking. He stops his hand and Raiy's hand from drawing. Raiy turns to Ein to ask for an explanation. Ein, with his head, makes a sign to Raiy, by making his head to go upward repeatedly. Ein pointed toward the door with his head while doing this. Both of them then reflexively hide their hands behind their back.
Seeing Ein and Raiy stop drawing. Everi runs toward them. She then catches Ein’s left hand and puts it on the ground. But Ein retracts it again. Everi keeps putting Ein's hand back to the ground whenever Ein retracts it. Ein eventually gave up and drew something.
Ein drew a face with two horns and pointed ears. Looking at it, Everi, with an innocent smile, laughs happily.
Raiy, with a jealous face, doesn’t want to be left behind. He draws a round, fat body on the head. The three of them laughed cheerfully at this. Continuing the art, Ein draws a long wavy hand and legs, at it too. Again, this time they laugh louder. The picture has become really laughable for them.
They keep playing for a few moments. It keeps up until their mother comes. She carries something in her hand.
“It’s time to eaaaaat.”
But, behind their mother is their father. Ein and Raiy are surprised. Their faces become pale. These last few days, their father has always hugged them tight and thrown them up to play. He kisses them all over their faces. All of this deed makes them have a traumatic feeling toward their father. However, they can’t hate their father. They too, know when he gives a blanket to them, shares some food with them, and gently rubs their heads like a father. In the depths of their hearts, they know that their ogre father is a kind father.
Like always, he squeezes, he throws, and he spits his saliva at the both of them. After being satisfied, he came out of the room. As the leader of the group, he must lead the group to hunt in the forest.
“Aaaaaa, open your mouth, Ein.”
After their father left, their mother started to feed them.
...
A few minutes have passed since they started eating. The ogre girl eats so fast that her bowl is empty now. While their mother feeds them, she sneezes, and she stops feeding them for a moment. She then attempted to continue feeding them. However, the food is gone. Ein and Raiy don't know where the food has gone either. They get distracted by their mother when she sneezes. Searching for it, they stop at their little, cute big sister. She is smiling innocently while eating the supposed empty bowl.
‘Ouh, our little girl is the best; she is very cute.’
Ein said it.
