Chapter Three: Journey of Selflessness

Chapter Three: Journey of Selflessness

As the hours passed, the tornado had drifted away. The tree stopped shaking, the winds stopped howling, and the tears of fairies had stopped falling. They all gathered at the large wooden door in front of the trunk, hesitant to see the destruction of their village. All gathered at the door except for three fairies, whose worries were not on the village, but on the selfless and courageous man lying on a table. Sean was bandaged and his arm stopped bleeding, and even the blood was cleaned from the floor, but nurses told Amethyst that it would be days until he regained consciousness. He needed days of rest and weeks of recovery. The three stood at the table in silence as the mass of fairies behind them began to talk in fear of what might have happened. As most of the fairies slowly pushed the door, the whispers and noise of the fairies now suddenly stopped. A silence flowed over the crowd as the light of the sun cracked through the door. The group gently moved forward, walking outside as if it was a place they had never been before. Amethyst and Marc looked back at the door, it was completely open and the sight of the farm over the hilltop sunk both their hearts. The barn was torn to pieces and wood was scattered throughout the fields. Amethyst put her hand upon Sean’s and sighed.

Taken from Royal Road, this narrative should be reported if found on Amazon.

“Thank you...for everything…” She said with a faint and small voice. Marc smiled and looked at her.

“Sean thank too...he be ok.” He exclaimed with confidence of Sean’s well being.
