“Yup. Looks good to me.” Q wasn’t very excited though as she could only watch the event. In the end the Prim Roses chose not to join the battle, mainly because they had no reason to, but also because they didn’t have any players to fight for them. The only players that Q knew had joined the Prim Roses were Kukis, Brie, and herself. She had no doubt that there were some other players who joined the group because the influence meter had changed to 4%, but she hadn’t met them yet.
Q was currently sitting on top of the roof of one of the buildings near the main square, overlooking the players who were preparing their equipment on either side. On the Breckden’s side she noticed Sir Albert and his team were giving out a motivational speech. On the Velorie’s side she noticed the Crios Blades all goofing around before the battle began. Well, whatever keeps them from being nervous I guess. Q thought as she waited for Kukis and Brie to log in.
Within a few minutes Kukis appeared in a flash of light in the center of the plaza. Noticing both sides preparing themselves, she quickly got out of the way and began searching for Q. Before Q could send her a message though, Brie appeared in a flash of light as well, and noticed the large amounts of men on both sides. Q watched as Brie’s body trembled for a moment, but then she gritted her teeth and ran off in the direction that Kukis had run off to. Way to go Brie. Q smiled as a message appeared in front of her.
Behind you.
The building right above you.
It seemed that Brie read the message, as she looked up and saw Q leaning over the side of the building, waving lazily at her. Brie nodded and went into the building to make her way up to the roof. Meanwhile Kukis was looking around her in a paranoid fashion, wondering where Q was.
I have stealth remember? Try and find me if you can…
Q laughed as she watched Kukis suddenly begin checking every single corner and alleyway for her. While Kukis ran around, Brie had made her way to Q’s side. “Good morning Q. Or, whatever time it is for you.”
“Morning Brie. Come here and watch the show.” Q beckoned her to sit beside her.
Here’s a hint, I’m near the building to the far left of you.
“The show? I do not think the event has started yet though… Hmm? Is that Kukis? What is she doing running around like that?”
“Punishment for abandoning me twice.” Q said with a faint smile on her face.
Alright alright, I’ve turned off my stealth. Here’s another hint, I’m inside that garbage dump beside you.
No, not seriously. I’m up on the roof dummy. Come meet us up here.
Q decided to end Kukis’ punishment as the event began to start. Kukis looked up to find Q and Brie waving at her, and though Q couldn’t hear what she was saying, it was clear she was angry that Q led her around the place. Eventually Kukis got up and was about to complain when they heard the voice of Cadby Breckden and Malcolm Velorie.
“Listen well adventurers!” Malcolm began. “You may all come from strange lands with different backgrounds, but today you shall fight for our houses! This is an honorable duel to decide who is more superior!”
“Obviously the Breckdens are superior!” Cadby shouted, and a loud clamour from the Breckden side came up.
“Shut up you oaf!” Malcolm almost had to scream to be heard over the crowd. “Do not ruin this honorable duel with your foolish talk!”
“Just get on with it already!” Q yelled, then quickly hid out of sight.
No one could find the source of the voice, but they all agreed with its message. Each player brought out their weapon and gripped it tightly. Mages began priming their spells, archers strung their bows, and warriors began tensing their bodies. Cadby and Malcolm looked at each other, nodded, and then moved away from the center of the plaza. Then in sync they yelled at the same time:
“Let the battle begin!”
The square quickly turned into complete pandemonium as warriors dashed forward, while spells and arrows were flying all over the place. The players fought far more recklessly than the Breckdens or Velories, instantly activating skills and spells to deal the most damage. At first the Velorie side had the advantage, as their spells pushed back the Breckden side and dealt massive damage, but soon they ran out and had to charge their spells again, creating an opportunity for the Breckdens.
Strangely enough, as the warriors met in the front lines the battle became a bit more orderly as spells and arrows stopped being thrown around haphazardly in fear of hitting their comrades. Instead the mages and archers from both sides aimed for the enemy backlines and they began their own fight while the warriors duked it out in close combat.
Q noticed that Sir Albert was valiantly charging through the crowd, cutting down enemies with his shiny sword and possibly blinding them with his equally shiny armor. Sir Albert’s group caused a lot of trouble for the Velorie side, as they didn’t have a lot of warriors. Sir Albert himself was quite strong, as each of his swings were practically guaranteed to knock an enemy backwards. His party weren’t any pushovers either as Q saw Magnus casting spells which disrupted the Velorie’s lines, while the rest of his comrades shot arrows or sneaked around the battlefield.
Just as they were slowly making their way to the backlines, a player that Q recognized blocked Sir Albert’s way. Neira held up her shield in front of her and glared at Sir Albert, determined to keep him from moving any further.

“Hmm… It seems a worthy opponent has appeared in front of me I see.” Q couldn’t see his expression under his helmet, but for some reason she felt that Sir Albert was smiling right now.
“... You’re not getting any further.” Neira gripped her sword tightly and got ready to fight.
“Neira, you got them to stop?” Vern appeared beside her and took note of Sir Albert and his party. “Nice. Let’s take them down!”
The rest of the Crios Blades all showed up and they began to engage Sir Albert’s party. Vern went forward to engage Sir Albert, and they began fighting one on one. Vern’s sword pushed against Sir Albert’s, causing sparks to fly off each other. “Hahaha! Yet another worthy opponent! I, Sir Albert Welfring the Third, shall fight you with all my might!” Sir Albert changed into a two handed grip and went forward to clash against Vern again.
Vern grinned as he moved his sword slightly to the right of him. “The name’s Vern. I hope you’ll remember the name of the guy who’s going to beat you!” He met Sir Albert’s charge with an equal amount of force, and the two began to clash again.
Meanwhile Neira was busy dealing with a bald dwarf who held a large battleaxe. Each of the dwarf’s swings would carry a tremendous force behind them, but Neira was slightly jumping back each time the axe connected with her shield, dispersing most of the force. “You’re pretty good girl. What’s your name?”
“... Neira, Vanguard of the Crios Blades”
“Hah. I am Baulder, the Axe of Mayhem! Remember that name in your next life!” He made another powerful swing at Neira.
While those two were fighting, Melun and Aeryn were exchanging spells and arrows against Magnus and a hooded man who fired crossbow bolts at them.
“This guy’s spells are really strong.” Aeryn noted as she used a fireball to intercept the blast of wind coming towards her.
“And this guy keeps dodging!” Melun complained as the hooded man kept avoiding all her arrows. Aeryn and Melun exchanged glances, nodded, and then instantly switched their targets.
“[Hawk Eye], [Precision Shot]!” Melun fired an arrow headed straight for Magnus, while Aeryn activated an area of effect spell. “[Flame Wave]!” The wave of fire quickly approached the hooded man whose eyes widened in surprise. Suddenly a powerful light surrounded the two of them, and once it disappeared the two were left unharmed.
“Geez, you two need to be more careful.” A woman in long white robes scolded the other two. “You should be thankful that I’m here to cover your asses.”
“Many thanks Celinus. That attack was truly unexpected.” Magnus gave his thanks before preparing another spell.
“...Hmph.” The hooded man didn’t say anything, but he still nodded in her direction. He whispered something, and then he began to vanish, disappearing from the girl's sight.
“What the-? Stealth?” Melun couldn’t find him, and was worried about where he might have gone. Suddenly a dark blur approached her side!
Melun tried to block it, but just as the blur was about to hit her, a powerful light appeared around her and pushed back the blur. “Thanks Fort!” Melun cried out as she aimed an arrow at the now revealed hooded man.
“No problem. That’s what I’m here for.” Fortis smiled as he looked over at the enemy priestess. Once they exchanged glances, sparks seemed to fly as the two of them felt a strange rivalry between each other. The two healers began a strange battle of their own, keeping their comrades alive in the most efficient of ways possible, whether it was a barrier to reduce damage or just flat out healing them.
While the conflict between Sir Albert’s party and the Crios Blades began to escalate, the battle with the rest of the players was also underway. Q watched with interest as the players cast spells she hadn’t seen before. Things like fireballs or wind blasts were found throughout the entire battlefield, but there were also a few strange spells mixed in, like one which caused the ground to turn into a swamp-like state, slowing down the players.
Looking over to the side, Q noticed that two magicians cast a different spell in the same direction. One of the mages cast a fireball while the other cast what Q saw as a lance made of rocks. As their spells flew forward, they actually fused together to create a burning lance! Whoa, spells can be fused together? I’ll have to research that later. Q looked upon the magicians with renewed interest.
While Q was watching the players cast spells, Brie and Kukis were looking over the battle between Sir Albert and the Crios Blades.
“That man in armor seems to be well versed in the way of the sword.” Brie said, observing Sir Albert’s swordplay.
“Yeah. I think that Neira is pretty amazing in blocking the attacks of that dwarf though.” Kukis was quite surprised that Neira could handle attacks with that much strength put into them.
“Indeed. Oh my, the hooded man disappeared again.”
“Looks like he’s going for Fortis.”
“Ah, it seems that Melun has found him.” Brie watched as Melun suddenly whirled around and went after the hooded figure.
“Woah, you can do that with a bow!?” Kukis watched in disbelief as Melun slipped the bowstring around the hooded man’s neck and began to pull. The hooded man struggled to get away, but his health was slowly draining under the force of Melun’s pull. Suddenly it seemed that Magnus had finished charging up a spell as he yelled out, “[Fire Storm]!”
The battle became far more hectic now, as globs of fire began raining down onto the battlefield hitting friend and foe alike. Wherever the fire would land, it would create a powerful impact and a deafening boom would be heard. Melun saw that there was fire heading towards her, but rather than backing off she instead positioned the hooded man so that he would be in between her and the flames.
The moment the fire hit him, his health took a large hit and Melun was blasted backwards by the impact. The hooded man was dazed and couldn’t dodge the rest of the fireballs in time, causing him to be killed by a friendly spell.
“That’s one nasty spell.” Q rested her head on her hand as she heard the other party members begin to blame Magnus.
“Magnus, what the heck are you doing!?” Baulder shouted.
“I… I had no other options!” Magnus hastily justified his actions. “I was already chanting the aria and couldn’t stop it!”
“Enough! Focus on the rest of the battle!” Sir Albert commanded them.
Meanwhile Melun retreated to the back of the Crios Blades and was congratulated by them. “Melun that was amazing!” Aeryn said with a smile.
“Haha…” Melun blushed, “I was just wondering what Q would have done there. More importantly, my bow was broken from that so I won’t be able to do much anymore.” She said sheepishly, and the rest of the members nodded.
“Don’t worry Melun, leave the rest to us!” Vern cried out as he went forward to re-engage Sir Albert.
While the two parties clashed against each other again, Q noticed that there were a few archerers pointing in her direction. Narrowing her eyes, she saw that they were about to shoot arrows at her! “Get down!” Q shouted as she pulled Brie and Kukis down just in time to dodge the arrows.
“Whoa… that was close. Thanks Q.” Kukis nodded.
“How rude. We were only observing this battle and yet they deign to attack us?” Brie was miffed. “We should go down there and punish them!”
Hearing her words, something seemed to click in Q’s mind as she let out a childish grin. “Yeah, we should. I was getting bored up here anyway. Let’s go!” She yelled as she suddenly jumped off the roof.
““Q!?”” Brie and Kukis shouted as they had no idea why she jumped down from the building. When they approached the side of the building, they realized that Q had tied a rope to the side and climbed down, already running in to join the fight. Exchanging looks, they gave each other a helpless shrug as they also began climbing down the rope.
Meanwhile Q had already engaged the archers who were shocked at the speed at which she approached them with. Sending out an [Ember] followed by a [Gust], Q decided to experiment with the ‘spell fusion’. As the two spells flew forward, they spun around each other and then flew forward in the shape of a flaming bullet! The flaming bullet went forward and hit one of the archers, taking away a quarter of his health!
Combination spells do a lot of damage! Q realized as she pulled out her dagger and began to fight them. The archers barely stood a chance as she stepped into close range and made quick work of them with flashes of her claws and dagger. One of the archers was able to break away and shot out an incredibly fast arrow, but Q angled her dagger slightly and deflected it. She shout out another ‘flaming bullet’ and then threw her dagger right after, depleting the archer’s health to zero.
Q picked up her dagger and brushed it off a bit as Brie and Kukis made their way to her. “What’s up you two?” Q smiled, “You’re late to the party.”
Kukis simply shook her head while Brie smiled in return, readying her weapon. “Q, we seem to be surrounded at the moment.” Brie noted as players slowly began closing in on the three of them.
“That’s what makes it fun though.” Q smiled again.
“Hey, which side are you three on?” One of the players said.
For a moment, Q was silent until suddenly she made a strange pose. She put her right hand on her hip while her left hand made a ‘V’ and went over her left eye. “We are on the side of justice!” She yelled as she indicated for the other two to pose. Slightly confused, Brie and Kukis also posed with Brie putting on an arrogant face while holding out her sword like a cane. Kukis made a pose similar to Q’s, except her left hand covered half of her face while her right arm went around to the left side of her hip.
The surrounding players were absolutely flabbergasted as they couldn’t make sense of the situation. While they were discussing what to do, Q spoke out again. “We are the ones who will punish evildoers! I am Scarlet Spark, and with my comrades White Flash and Violet Snack, we will take you down!”
“Excuse me!?” Kukis blurted, but Q ignored her.
“We are the Prim Roses, and we’ll defeat all of you!” As soon as she finished saying this, a window appeared over every player’s vision.
[The Prim Roses have joined the battle!] - Extra rewards to whoever can defeat the members of the Prim Roses.
“Q, what have you done!? Now all of the players are going to go after us!” Kukis screamed out.
Q only let out a brilliant smile as she faced Kukis. “Yup. That’s what makes it fun!”

A/N: Seems like someone's watched too much Sailor Moon...
Here we go, the fight is happening and stuff. So... yeah. Also super fun fight between The Daring & Dangerous and the Crios Blades. At least, it was fun when I imagined it in my head.
Q has a strange definition of fun...
Fun-fact: It takes an average of somewhere around 3000-4000 newtons of force to break a human bone.
