Closing the door as quietly as possible, Neri Kevia crept stealthily to the corner of the club room.
He desperately needed to get the paperwork lying on the far side of the rooms on only table, that was currently occupied by the club president or in other words Asrell Covex, A short enthusiastic girl with shoulder length black hair and curious amethyst eyes that seemed to glitter when she got her hands on new information,
Information on the above.
Asrell was the president of the elevator club (The name was her idea) a club that investigated and aimed to board the obsidian elevator in a year.
She was currently lying face down across the table, sleeping.
Neri was trying to, without her noticing, change the name of the club to something more fitting, after all there was only four of them in the club and when the occasional potential member stopped by they would literally be looking to join an elevator club, whatever that was, and then when they explained what the club was actually for they were given an,
“Oh, uh, never mind ”
And never saw said person around their club room again.
“Neri..” came Asrell’s voice, muffled and mildly slurred.
Jolting in shock Neri slowly turned to face her, although she had not moved from her prior position of lying face down on the table.
“I want…”
Silence.
A minute went by and Neri concluded that she must have been sleep talking.
‘I wonder what she wanted from me’ came a slightly distracted thought from the back of Neri’s mind.
Continuing to step quietly around the room, Neri snatched up the papers lying just beside her leg and read over them, confirming the contents.

Asrell Covex
Neri Kevia
Synthesis Kevia
Jen Noris
Thrust Vess
…
Thrust Vess? Who were they?
Neri had never heard of them, though he assumed that it must’ve been someone that Asrell had somehow encouraged and or bribed to join, even if Asrell had convinced them to join, they would probably quit after less than a year, after all, that’s how it went with everyone else.
Quietly stepping back toward the door of the club room, now with the club papers in his school bag, Neri was considering the what he should rename the club to when the club door flew open with a bang.
“WHERE THE HECK IS- oh it’s just you two.”
Neri, having just lived through the fright of his life was now trying to exit the room as quickly as possible before -
“WHERE THE HECK IS JEN” - the stranger in the doorway yelled, further blocking it by stretching out both her arms.
She was average height with short green hair to her ears (which were adorned with black cross earrings ) and unnaturally red eyes, contacts, Neri realized, not even thinking about the black mask she was wearing over her mouth.
“Mmm hmm?”, came a half muffled voice from the back of the room.
Neri froze.
“Neri… and?” Half mumbled Asrell, first looking at Neri then the weirdo with the mask as she sat up on the table, wiping the sleep out of her eyes, confused.
“Have you seen Jen?”
“Jen? … umm he just came in here to drop off…”, she looked to the place on the table where the club papers should be.
“Where did they-”
Neri needed to get out of there.
Ducking underneath the arm of the green headed girl he didn’t know the name of, Neri ran out into the corridor, hoping that Asrell had not put two and two together.
