“Falis… Falis, hey~ … are you even listening?!”
“Hmm… yeah…”
“Anyways, I was saying that maybe we should-”
Falis wasn’t listening, because he simply couldn’t care less and was more amused by his own thoughts than the words of this classmate of his that had latched onto him at the start of the school year and just, ‘couldn't take a hint’
They weren’t particularly rude or annoying, but they weren’t really anything at all, in other words-
“Boring~”
“I know right, what’s up with her?”
Two girls, sitting on the tables 3 seats behind him were whispering to each other as loudly as possible.
“What are you gonna do, block her?”
Said the girl’s friend
“Totally, there is no way I’m going near her, or her weirdo brother. I can’t believe her! I just asked her to quit that stupid club and she flipped out on me, jeez.”
“Want me to bring her to you ?”
“No way, I don't even want to breathe the same air as her, before she infects me with her weirdness.”
“Right~”
They giggled.
“Hey Falis I’m going to my club right now, you want to come?”
Said the ever talkative classmate who was now apparently standing halfway towards the door.
Falis began staring out the window
“No”
“Okay then, see you later”
Came a cheerful reply as they left the classroom.
“…”
The two girls had stopped whispering as he had left the classroom but now they resumed their unhushed conversation.

“I feel bad for him, you know..”
“Who?”
“Jen!”
“Oh yah, umm.. why?”
“Well he seems like a nice guy but because he’s part of ‘that club’ nobody talks to him except Mr I can only say up to two words in one sentence …”
“Well it’s his fault for joining”
“I guess so…”
Falis didn’t want to think about that stupid club anymore than he already had because of those two girls, so he turned his thoughts towards the morning's events.
A small wave of annoyance.
Who the heck was that? Crashing into him then running away a moment later, at least the other guy had the decency to stop and apologize..
‘Wait didn’t he mock me?’
It was subtle but Falis clearly remembered the guy who had offered to helped him up complementing him on his face plant and snickering.
“Tch”
…
“Hey! Did you ju-”
The girl was cut off as someone quickly opened the door, slipped in, and shut it behind them.
Falis removed his gaze from the window, mildly curious to see who entered.
He made eye contact with a mildly familiar red haired guy.
“Oh hey! You’re the guy from-”
The newcomer was cut off by loud laughter coming from the girls at the back of the classroom.
“Look who it is Loria! It’s the president of weirdos himself”
“Janis~ if you’re not careful he might send his legion of crayzies to smite you~”
A smile appeared on the ‘president of weirdo’’s face as he gave a little bow to what, Falis now knew was Janis and Loria.
“Tis’ I, vice president of the weirdo’s! Be not alarmed I am but a kind soul who wishes to explore that which lies beyond the obsidian elevator fine maidens! ”
Shocked silence.
“Wha- whaaaaaaaat?”
The two girls burst into laughter once more.
“He really is weird aha! What kind of response is that!”
“I’m so done with this guy Loria, let’s go before he converts us to his crazy elevator cult.”
“Karaoke again?”
“Why not?”
The two girls left giggling to themselves, their arms linked.
“…”
“So now that they are gone…”
He started, striding confidently towards Falis’ desk and sitting himself on the chair Jen had drawn in front of Falis.
Neither of them broke eye contact.
“Why don’t you tell me what’s bothering you.”
