“I was given powers, yet I can’t use them properly. This is like an RPG game with no instructions and map.” Liam observed the space as he tried to find his way out of the Mines. But then one of the diamonds near the entrance collapsed, and everything crumbled, destroying the path. It seems like the mines were being controlled. The rocks aligned, circling Liam and then the floor crumbled. What remains is Liam balancing himself, not falling from the deeper part of the cave. Unfortunately, his last stepping stone gives in, and he falls with all the diamonds.
Calming himself in the middle of certain death, he once again tried to use teleportation. Still, it did not work. With one last option, using his double-edge dagger, he quickly throws it upwards, hoping it will be stuck on the ceiling or roll onto something hard. He holds the strings for dear life. He succeeded and was almost hit by a couple of rocks and diamonds.
The unfortunate events are only beginning. From what he thought he survived comes the unexpected outcome of thrill. The strings break, and he falls later than the rocks.
He expected to die, but he did not hit the floor. His body floats for a few seconds before ultimately landing.
“You okay, mate?” A concerned silvery voice echoed from above.
Liam breathed heavily and looked at where the voice came from. Two guys flexibly jump to reach the bottom where he is.
These two guys are twins. One is wearing a brown Jumper looking all bright and childish. The other one is wearing a black garb outfit, gloomy but sexy. Both are pale, good-looking, and have Prussian blue hair.
“What’s with all the falling in my life? At first, the entrance before I met Time, the upper ocean, and here in a cave.” Liam mumbles wheezing
“Seriously, we thought it was a big catch, but we saw you struggle to survive, mate.” It started with the apparent extrovert.
Liam positioned himself so that he could usually talk with the two. “You’re telling me that you caused that incident?” Liam asked calmly, trying not to be hysterical.
“Who would have thought you’re human? Especially your vesma can freak anyone.” Inserted by the gloomy guy.
“And what is this vesma thing you’re talking about?” Liam cleaned himself as he asked.
The Extroverted guy looked closely at Liam as if he were a suspect in a crime.
“You’re not from here, aren’t you, mate?”
The twins looked at each other and started attacking Liam. The one wearing a jumper swipes his legs to Liam’s feet, trying to get him out of balance. At the same time, the gloomy guy chambers his right leg lifts his grounded heel, pivots his hips, and carefully extends his legs to hit Liam straight in the face.
It was fast, but Liam did not expect that he would dodge both attacks. And that made him even more suspicious. The siblings continue attacking him, kicking him around and forth. Yet Liam smoothly defensed himself from the two. Seeing the gloomy guy getting irritated, Liam took this chance to grab and pull the gloomy guy’s feet when he kicked. Swiftly landed his palm on the guy’s face causing him to collapse.

Liam feels different, like he’s another person. He can feel strength surging throughout his body. He was also shocked that he beat the guy.
This made the other twin furious. Yet before he could move, Liam’s vesma, like a jar with unknown sources inside it, exploded because of too much pressure.
The air pressure changes drastically, leaving no room for the people inside to breathe except for Liam, who seems out of control. He knows what’s happening, but he can’t move his body and can only watch the other guy gasps for air.
Because of the intense power revolving around him, tears started falling from his eyes. His body became numb, but his eyes were burning in the heat. It lasted so long that he felt he was going blind. He then loses consciousness.
Outside the Mines
Liam slowly opened his eyes as he could hear loud noises of guys shouting. It turned out to be the twins.
“Yow, mate! Want some fish?” The extroverted guy smiled brightly, looking handsome like a rich man.
“I’m Alfred. My twin here is Hansel.” He introduced as he pointed to himself and Hansel, who was visibly annoyed from eating fish.
“You’re connected to the Gods, aren’t you?”
Liam quickly stood from his position and was amazed.
“Psh, we would not know if it wasn’t from the mark on your nape. You’re blessed by Time.”
Liam’s forehead furrowed as he was curious about the mark. He touched it and felt pain when his fingers landed on the mark.
It’s an incomplete circle with another incomplete circle inside it. With small written words that can’t be read in the middle.
He then remembered that Time’s mark was supposed to be on his chest. He looked slightly for marks on his chest, and there was one.
On his left chest are two small hourglasses. Horizontally and vertically overlaps, looking like a flower.
Liam’s eyes just knitted with curiosity.
‘Am I in trouble because of this? People might recognize me as the messenger of the Gods. On the other hand, others will fear me and might hunt me.’ That is what Liam thought.
“I’m Liam, and I’m not sure about this connection with the Gods you are talking about. I fell from place to place until I met you guys.” He Lied about Time.
“Then let us serve you. We are runaway servants from the West. It’ll be an honor to serve someone connected to the Gods. But don’t get me wrong, our first master died, so we ran away.” Alfred humbly excused.
At first, Liam was grateful, but he knew the two might have something in mind.
No longer batting an eye, he accepted his request. It’s better to have a guide and a companion. ‘If they plan to kill me, use me, or whatsoever. I can kill them first.’
Alfred handed Liam a grilled fish, and he accepted it. They’re now resting near the lake.
“What happened earlier?” Liam began the conversation
“We thought you were a demon mate, a big catch because of your vesma. So, we tried to kill you and planned to sell the Gem inside you. Turned out you’re connected to the Gods.” Alfred replied.
“we’re not only servants who run away from home. We’re also thieves now!” He cheerfully and proudly exclaimed. He was laughing and patting Hansel’s back.
“So, what is this vesma you talked about?”
“vesma is your strength. The one that describes how powerful you are.” Hansel inserted the conversation. He was looking pale and bored.
They talked for hours until it was once again night.
