It turned out that the mines where Liam teleported were a small dungeon not far from the town where he came from. The three guys talked for hours, and that night immediately came. And that is when they decided to go to the Inn where Liam stayed.
Inn
He paid to stay for three days with the twins.
“So why did you guys want to serve me? Serving people like me wasn’t my first impression of you two.” Liam started the conversation.
“Let’s tell him the truth, brother.” Hansel glanced at his brother.
“Well, you are strong. Staying by your side will guarantee us safety.” Alfred blatantly replied.
Hansel looked at his brother’s eyes, full of emotions. It feels like something more, but Liam saw through it and did not want to dig more into their past. They told him they were servants from the West, so it must be a sorrowful story. On Earth thousands of years ago, based on history, servants were treated poorly. It must be the same here.
“Then I’ll let you stay by my side if you help me.”
Both Alfred and Hansel looked at him with glistening eyes.
“There will be a huge catastrophe in the future. Help me fight.” He casually said these words as if he was not worried about whatever they would think about him if he was a weirdo, devil, or a liar.
It was silent for a few seconds.
After digesting the meaning of those words, Alfred’s eyes sparkled and were full of energy. It’s an adventure, and he’s sure it’ll be thrilling.
Hansel looked at his brother for a few seconds before returning his gaze to Liam. He almost fainted. Because in his opinion, It’s a thrilling adventure, so it will be dangerous.
Hansel’s thoughts ‘Why did I follow my idiotic brother?’ He just sighed and smiled faintly. This reaction shows that he agreed.
Morning came, and Liam started to investigate this whole situation. ‘I might as well do this trial. By Time. Who knows what torture she’ll do to me if I ignore this?’ He thought to himself.
‘So, what does an ordinary person from another world do to flatten the situation?’
Before Liam could focus, his eyes caught the twins stealing from a food vendor. He facepalmed and sighed in frustration. ‘Taking these two means taking care of them, of course. What kind of subordinate am I?’
He was not yet familiar with using his powers, but he swiftly held each hand of the twins; he gave them a death glare and pulled them to go inside the tavern. He then let them sit and said, “Order food for the three of us, my treat.” He casually commands as he sits on the chair.
Hansel’s face remains poker while looking in different directions. On the other hand, Alfred immediately shouted to call a server to list their orders.
While waiting patiently for their order, Alfred could not help but talk about unnecessary things. He’s a happy-go-lucky person who can’t stop talking and telling stories—an extrovert Liam dislikes the most. Indeed talking to this guy will drain his energy.
On the other hand, Liam could not help but eavesdrop on the guys behind him.
“According to Xel, the Goddess sent a warrior to stop the war.”
“How did Xel know?”
“The book of prophecy has re-open, writing stories of its own. Telling the end is near for a warrior has appeared.”
“The book of prophecy? Do you mean the book that predicts the future? The church has nothing to fear if it’s in Xel’s hands. Predicting the future, we can ascertain victory against the warrior.”
“That’s what I had in mind, but Xel is still furious.”

“That’s difficult; why? He can control the warrior in the palm of his hand.”
The conversation continued but was blocked because their order had arrived. Alfred eats to his heart’s content. Liam could not help but notice Hansel eating slowly like he was sick.
Alfred noticed Liam’s slight change of reaction and immediately adapted to the situation. “Hansel is always like this, don’t worry, he’s not sick mate. He’s just picky with veggies.” He tried to pursue Liam with his words.
No wonder Hansel’s plate has veggies on the side. He looks so gloomy while he eats.
After eating, Liam gazed at the guys paying at the counter. It was them who were talking about the book of prophecy. Alfred was the first to finish his food, raised his arms, and stretched happily.
Liam hurriedly finished his food and went to the counter when the guys left. He placed down the payment and gazed at the girl at the counter. “May I ask something, my lady?” His serious character changed to a playboy. He held the girl’s chin and intently looked into her eyes. The girl was stunned by such a handsome man in front of her. Liam smirked and continued to tease her. Alfred and Hansel saw this and could not help laughing.
“The guys from before, where are they from?” He asked sincerely. The girl who was easily fooled answered – “They’re from the East, City of Leorre.” She replied shyly.
Liam closes the space between him and the girl. He places his nose to hers. It was only for a mere second, then he retreated.
The girl collapsed due to excitement, and everyone inside the tavern was startled by the girl. They were curious about what had happened.
“You little playboy!” Alfred teases.
Liam sighed heavily. “We’re going to the East, City of Leorre. So, you two lead the way.”
Alfred saluted, “As you order, mate!” He then marched happily.
Hansel pouted and walked closer to Liam. “We need things before going to the East. The Dessert will kill us.” He reminded them.
Alfred and Liam looked at him. ‘Of course! Why didn’t we prepare food, water, or transportation to go there? Such idiots.’
Alfred changes direction and leads the way to buy their things.
‘I’m glad Time gave me money; consider myself lucky for not being poor here.’ Liam thought.
They rode a plain medium carriage carried by two hexins.
Hexins – Creatures that look like small lizards with icy bronze bodies and long silver tails. They ran faster and had more stamina than a horse. When they sense danger, their wings from their neck open and instantly blow fire.
“Liam, I don’t want to offend you, yet I can’t deny this curiosity. May we know where you are from?” Hansel started the conversation, still looking pale but curious.
‘He immediately wants to catch me, huh? I must say they are also strange. A servant but flexible in fighting? Or maybe they adapted from experience. Well, partnerships are useless if we don’t trust each other, I guess?’ Liam thought.
‘Well, I’m from another world; I can’t just randomly say that.’
“I’m from another country.” He lied.
Before they can continue the conversation, they notice a bunch of people in a carriage entering the South Kingdom, and it seems like they are in a hurry.
Alfred and Liam were outside the carriage, Alfred holding the reins and Liam lazily examining the place. Hansel was inside the carriage sleeping.
After a moment, the hexins stop. But they haven’t reached their destination.
The hexins winged neck is opening. It means they sensed danger.
The place was quiet; only the sound of wind could be heard. From another point of view, there is nothing wrong going on.
Liam and Alfred continued to sense the enemies until Hansel Struck an arrow in front of them. He was positioned between Liam and Alfred. Hansel was the first to move and guess the location of the enemy. Hansel’s vesma surges throughout his body. His posture and the ambiance in him suited his gloomy appearance.
That is when the atmosphere became chaotic. The silence breaks, and the enemies are far ahead, striking back magic arrows. It was a surprise, but it wasn’t as fast and robust compared to Hansel’s attack.
Alfred tightly held the rein, guided the hexins to continue running, and used magic to block the arrows.
Hansel continued to fight using magic arrows, and Liam jumped from the carriage.
Liam feels his body is following his mind like he was used to fighting. As he made his way to reach the opponents, information popped into his mind for only a few seconds:
skills: Teleportation
The enemies weren’t aware of Liam’s location because he disappeared before he reached the ground. He used teleportation and a few techniques, using his string dagger to lock on branches of trees to get the enemies. And he quietly assassinated a few of them behind their backs.
He swiftly moves through the air, using his dagger’s thread to manipulate his position. The enemies were panicked about what was happening. The strong man in front charged at Liam but did not land a hit; instead, Liam teleported above him and entangled the thread to the man’s neck. He flowed his vesma to the thin thread and quickly beheaded him. The man’s blood showered on his subordinates.
