Galus walked his horse through the Godricks garden, he saw the corpse of Godrick, his graftings gone leaving only stumps that looked to have been severed using butcher grade knife. he crouched down and grabbed the golden axe, and hefted it to Edgar. "You want this?" Galus asked with a grunt.
Edgar looked at it with confusion. "You want me to have it?"
Galus shrugged. "Too heavy for me, you're able to use heavier weapons."
Edgar took the axe and Galus sighed as the huge weight was lifted from his arms. He knelt down next to Godricks body, and grabbed his crown and put it in his bag, Edgar glared at him. "It'll fetch a good amount of runes."
Galus lead the horse inside, barely sparing a glance to the model of the elden throne. He always found it funny that the knockoff didn't break when you tried to sit in it, meaning it was of higher quality than the one in Leyndell. He lead the horse into an adjoining room. He stopped as he saw he drop. "Who designed this place?!"
Edgar shrugged. "Couldn't tell you."
Galus groaned. "Fuck it, grab me something to make a ramp, we can get the horses down there somehow, I don't care if we have to lower them down with ropes I am not traveling that far on foot, my feet are barely recovered from the last week straight of walking on foot."
Edgar nodded walking off, and Galus heard something below him, he saw Irina looking around. Dropped the reins, hoping the horses don't run off. He grabs the ledge and climbed down, and hung from the ledge before dropping down to the ground. he unsheathed his sword seeing a wretch huddled against the wall, it held something, a small yellow eyeball, he grabbed the wretch's head and smashed it into the wall, repeatedly slamming it, before grabbing the small glowing yellow eye and dropped it to the ground and crushing it beneath his boot, he saw it a small flicker of the frenzied flame but it only caused a small headache, only after the cinder had been crushed completely did he relax. He walked away when he heard it cough. He turned on his heel and stabbed it through the chest. He sighed, starting to turn again, but saw it shaking. He heard it rasping out a laugh. "You can't protect her forever."
Galus shook his head. "Maybe not, but as long as I live they won't become a tool for you to destroy this world."
Galus walked over to him, he gave the eyeless body a look. "Shabriri?"
The bodies head looked up at him, not like Irina's pin pointing of his voice but like it actually saw him, it was unnerving. "Yes?"
Galus smirked. "Do you know what updog is?"
The corpse tilted it's head. "No, what's updog?"
Galus cut it's head off. "Not much, how about you." Now that he thought of it he might be in danger of it trying to possess the body of everything he killed. He shook his head, no there were rules to outer gods, if he could do that, everyone would be possessed by Shabriri.
Galus popped his back and wiped his sword off on the bodies cape and walked away, he leaned against the wall and looked up at the indoor balcony.
He waited nearly thirty minutes half way in he asked Irina to grab his Whetstone and drop it down to him, eventually he saw Edgar come in with a large sheet of metal. Galus knew the horse wouldn't be able to walk on it but they could possibly make it slide down. "Do you have something to hammer that"
Edgar lifted a blacksmiths hammer, and what looked like rail road spikes. He placed the sheet then hammered it into shape so that the top six inches of it was flat and the rest of it was pointing down to the ground in a slide. Galus knew that the horses were not going to like this, but they'd have to toughen up.

Once the diy horse slide was finished and Irina was off it's back, Galus gave a sharp whistle, and to his surprise Tempest started forward, and talked down the ramp, it's shoed hooves slid a bit, but it managed to get down alright. He lead it out of the way.
Galus looked back up and saw Edgar walk down the ramp. Stairs and the horse followed him when he gave the same whistle that Galus did.
He walked over to the doors and heaved them open. And walked out into the open cliff, looking over the massive lake, a thick fog hung over the entire lake and he could see large clusters of Glintstone even from here. He wasn't even sure if it was as shallow as it was in the game, he could very well require a boat, he'd find out when he got down there. He was going to need to get to Altus plateau sooner rather than later, but first, he had a pair of pit stops to make, and he was gonna need to get to his first stop, he mounted his horse looking behind himself, he saw Edgar hoisting Irina onto his horse and got on in front of her. He nudged Tempest with his foot to start walking. They started down the path and toward the church ruins.
Edgar rode up next to him and dug around in his own saddle bag. "The uh, Soldiers gave me a gift that might interest you... A thank you for making sure more of them didn't die." He found what he was looking for and handed him... An empty vial.
Galus looked at it confused and took it, then he recognized the shape. It was a wonderous physic bottle. "No fucking way..."
Galus put it into his book pouch next to the crimson tears potion, he grabbed his crimson tears potion.
They walked over next to the church and Galus pulled his horses reins when they were next to the church. He got down from the horse and Edgar stopped his horse as well. "Where are you going?"
Galus walked inside speaking over his shoulder. "There's something inside that I need."
Galus ignored the bald sorcerer, he didn't remember his name, instead he walked over to the root cluster seeing a golden glow from beneath it. He hacked the erd tree roots and grasped at the tiny golden seed, and put it into his crimson tears bottle, it was then that he noticed the three other small golden seeds at the bottom of the bottle.
Galus heard the mage speak. "What in Marika's name are you doing?!"
Galus looked at him. Then up to the statue of Marika. "What I always do, I'm defying the status quo." Galus smiles, remembering his antics at his old school.
The mage looked at him like he was mad. "You're defiling a church! Of Marika no less, you harmed the erd tree! this is beyond blasphemous!"
Galus shrugged, raising his hands to his side, and a golden discus was summoned and sheered through the statue of Marika's head. "It's pretty generous to call this a church friend, what you see as a holy place, I call rubble."
The sorcerer got up and raised a staff, Galus casually raised his hand and a purplish grey mist wafted toward him. They seemed to get drowsy and Galus walked off. Atleast until a Glintstone shard smacked into his shoulder. It was hot, hotter than anything he'd felt before and that was saying a lot considering the fact he'd been pelted with molten rubble by a giant golem not four days ago.
He turned rage in his eye, a rage that he thought he'd left behind a long time ago. He unsheathed his sword and approached reaching him in three long strides and he saw Thops back up in a panic. "I remember your name now..." He said looking at him as tripped and fell on his back. Galus pressed his boot on on Thops' chest, he stabbed his sword into the ground next to their head. He knelt down to look him in the eyes. "Do you want to die so soon? I thought you'd atleast want to finish your little project first Thops, a barrier that can deflect magic, made all on your own, but did you know that someone already made something better? One that not only takes your spells, and transmutes it into floating glintblades. I recommend you abandon Raya lucaria, and go to Caria. Maybe there you won't be assassinated by one of your fellow students." He got up, eliciting a squeak from Thops as he got up and walked away, why did he tell him to go to Caria? Well, he had a feeling that Ranni might have use for him, if he got past the traps of the manor that is.
Galus hopped onto his horse, and took a swig from his flask, the wound in his shoulder closing with the numbing sensation.
Edgar looked at him with an expression of concern and confusion.
Galus nodded. "Don't worry, I was just collecting a seed of an erd tree, it should either produce more of this potion, or it'll produce it faster."
Edgar looked at him. "So, how is it you really know these things, you seem to know some things but not others."
Galus sighed. "Again, I've only seen 8 timelines of this world, this one is completely new to me, and there are things that I saw that I couldn't figure out, so I made theories. It's much to me like reading a book, I only know the narrative that was written, only to now be sucked into said book and are able to interact with the characters who were written." Galus explained.
Edgar looked thoughtful. "So, we're characters in a book"
Galus immediately shook his head. "No no no, I was using that as an example of how to answer your question. I know a lot but not everything, I believe we've had this conversation before."
Edgar nodded. "Yes, I apologize. So, we're going to this Haligtree, what is this Haligtree?"
Galus nodded. "That I can answer, the Haligtree was made by Miquella as his own erd tree, it serves as a hope and shelter to those cast to the fringes by the golden order. There's a large village in the limbs of the Haligtree, and a fortress at it's base, we're going to need to make some stops on the way there, but I think we'll get there with a rather generous helping of trouble."
Galus watched as they went down the path and toward the Lakeshore, he saw the dirt moving and a skeletal hand burst from the ground, he kicked the horse twice in the flanks, and it sped up. "Edgar, we need to go. Now."
Edgar saw a black shrouded figure come out of the ground, clumps of dirt clinging to it's cloak and bones. Edgar did the same as Galus and Gale sped up next to Tempest. He watched as one with a filthy scythe threw a bluish flaming skull at him, Galus tossed a discus over his shoulder and it wizzed by his ear, it sheered through the ghost flame skull and caused it to explode long before his target, he watched it continue on and sheer through the skeletons head and it recalled back to his hand.
They rushed all the way down to the lakes shore, and then a bit further, by the time they slowed down, they were in the middle of the foggy forest. "You happen to have a compass?" Galus asked, and Edgar shook his head.
Galus sighed. "Stay close, I can hardly see anything through this fog. If we go in a straight line we shouldn't get too lost."
