It can speak to me? I mean, I did allow it into my brain. I think it's quite the weirdest thing I've experienced.
I looked around just in case a person was actually talking to me. I guess it would have been even weirder if a person said something like that.
Let's see, It said to give it any command. I guess commands like the ones I read earlier would be possible? Like that it can for example boost my processing speed and lots of other stuff, but how do I initiate those commands?
I carefully scanned around to find a suitable place to hide, while I fumbled around with the new function of the nanobots.
I stopped at one specific point. A spot between a tree and a rock.
I have a strange feeling that taking refugee here would be beneficial. I stared at the spot, wondering why such a feeling was prevalent.
It's probably because it has a good shelter of the elements and the rock seems very sturdy. I shook off the strange feeling and walked closer to study it.
The rock appeared millions of years old, and the tree embraced the rock like a good old hug. There seemed to be no reason not to hide here.
Right, I just need to get in there then. I looked at the small hole and wondered how I could fit.
In the end I found a good entering method and I squeezed between the two inspiring wonders of life.
Now, I should hurry and test this.
I stressed, wanting to get this done with as quickly as possible.
I looked around with bloodshot eyes, a sign of sleep deprivation. I was quite paranoid being all alone in a slightly dark forest with unknown creatures. Quite a normal thought when you are stranded somewhere, all alone.
Maybe I should do this later?
My body froze up. All the tension in my body suddenly disappeared after finding a safe hiding spot. Which means my stress and worries were unfolding now, because I got the extra brain capacity to think about unnecessary things.
The image of the bear haunted me, with his wide open mouth dripping blood from the corner of his mouth, I could practically still feel his hunger for flesh in my mind. I cringed at the thought, goose bumps travelled up and down my body. I hugged my body tightly in order to try to stop shaking so much, but it was in vain.
What if that alien bear finds me? What if those barbarians find me?! No! But, this new language function might be what saves me. And I need to speak their language. Ahhh! Fuck!... I shook my head in despair. I was lost.
"Why did this happen to me? Why am I here? Where even is HERE?!" I recklessly shouted out.
I pounded my fist into the tree beside me. It ripped some skin off my fist. I looked at the newly formed wound and watched as fresh blood ran out. But, due to the adrenaline still pumping through my body I could not feel any pain.
Haha, how I wish I could bring my railgun over in this world... Amazing isn't it? The irony. Even though I wouldn't be able to use it more than once before my arms would bend upwards from the force.
The smile on my face dissapeared as I curled up with my hands wrapped around my knees, I looked down at my feet and frowned.
I don't want to do this anymore... Giant alien bears, barbarians with technology from 100s of years ago. Where am I supposed to go even if I do figure out this thing? I stared forward in a daze and supported my back on the old tree. My stomach rumbled and my throat devoid of any moisture.
I'm just, tired... I'll figure it out tomorrow. I closed my eyes and forgot about all the pain I've experienced so far.
And slowly, but surely, I slipped into the dream world. But, it was not a happy feel good dream, it was a terrible nightmare.
Huh where am I? I looked around, nothing but darkness.
In the distance I saw a beautiful world, with nothing but happiness and hope, a true haven.
I walked toward the light as any sane man would do. I took steps forward at a walking pace. But soon, it got progressively harder and harder to walk like i was being dragged down.
No! Why can't I move?! I stared down at my feet and saw I was being dragged down into the darkness.
AHHH! I tried fighting against it, but I failed miserably, I was simply too weak.
And there I remained, for all of eternity just falling and falling.

04:12 - Day 1
----------------------------------------
In my sleep I could feel a sudden intense draft blow through me. And then suddenly, ""BOOOM!"" The ground trembled and the trees madly shook. This was an explosion that could be heard from miles away. And the shock wave intensified after the boom as if the energy was still lingering many seconds after the explosion.
"!!!" I woke up with a bang. My head almost hitting the hard rock above me. The cold wind rushed past me and blew tons of leaves, seeds and other vegetation in my face.
I almost couldn't breathe due to the strong wind, thankfully it discreetly dissipated.
"Puah, aah." I spat the things out that managed to get into my mouth while I had trouble breathing.
I looked around in utter shock, leaves were strewn everywhere, heavy rocks were displaced and even some trees fell down from the pure energy of the shock wave. My hiding spot was fine, due to the rock that must weigh a couple of tons, it seemed to have absorbed most of the shock wave and helped me not to get blown away like a ragdoll.
Wha- What the hell was that?! I peeked out of my hiding spot and looked around.
How powerful of an explosion was that?! I nervously jumped out of my safe spot and found a tall place to stand in order to see the sky better.
In the distance I think I saw smoke rise to the sky. But it was very dark under the moonlight so it was hard to see.
What is going on? Fire? For an explosion that powerful it must be human made? I continued staring in the direction of the explosion.
with the little amount of reasoning ability I had left, I was deciding what I should do.
I should run away. But I'm curious as to what that explosion was. In a world like this I'm sure explosions don't happen often. Besides, this forest is quite moist so I don't think a forest fire would be a problem. But, if it explodes again... What will I do?
I pondered.
I wonder if I could survive this forest anyways? Maybe an explosion would be a painless way to die? I grimly looked down at my dirty hands.
You could be reading stolen content. Head to the original site for the genuine story.
Maybe that would be for the best, hehe. It's better than getting eaten. I smiled crazily, I was about to go insane from all of this. Reality seemed so far away, like it's a cloud that I can't interact with, my hand just passes straight through.
What is there to do in a hostile world, but to either give up, or fight on? The willpower required to fight in this strange and hostile planet, far away from home is immense.
What am I supposed to do? I don't even have anything worth living for in this world.
It's all so useless. Everything is meaningless. I'll just die, it's so easy. Why didn't people think of this solution before?!
But, I might have one single thing to live for, just barely. Even though she is on a different planet right now, I still think of how my mom is doing.
Mom... I looked into my hands, counting my fingers as if I was searching for something.
No, I can't die yet. My mom... Would be sad.
I'll try my best for you. I have no one, I'm alone.' the smile on my face slowly inched down and down into a more neutral expression.
I'll try my best for you and for my sis and father... So, don't worry about me... Please watch over me.
I walked in the direction of the explosion slowly, holding my rumbling stomach and being careful not to trip. Anything was fine at this point, I just wanted to find someone, anyone. The feeling of being alone was bearing heavily on my soul, and my mind.
Let's go.
I covered small distances at a time with my worn out body.
It wasn't that long of a walk but it felt like forever with the state my body was in.
I trampled on the grass with uneven steps, it was getting more difficult to even raise my legs any longer. I weakly pushed some vegetation away.
I see something.
The thing I saw, it looked like a ball of some hot liquid. It's wispy like magma was branching off into all directions uncontrollably.
I took a step forward while being distracted and my legs got caught on a tree root which made me fall down on my knees and arms.
"Ouch..."
I stared down into the grass, cold sweat trickled down my face. I had some time to ponder over what I just saw.
What was that? My whole body shook for a second. I tried getting up despite the weakness I felt in my legs.
As I was getting up I felt a wave of heat hit my body.
I looked up and saw a terrific sight.
?! I raised my eyes wide, not believing myself, I stared at the sun-like object blinding me.
"H-How?!" I accidently blurted out.
The ball of magma I saw earlier was actually floating!
How in the hell? Is it like magnetic confinement? But this is in the open air, there's no magnets here? I stared in amazement at the phenomenon. If I looked closer under the ball of heated liquid I could see a faint outline of a person.
A person?!
I should warn him!
"Watch out!" I shouted out loud, trying to alert him to the danger.
But, the thing I didn't realize is that he was almost right under the magma when even from here the heat singed my skin. From his position he should be melting.
When I shouted I saw the ball of magma turning towards me.
"!!!"
If it felt like a hot summer earlier, then now it feels like I'm in the desert. Its almost like all the heat was directed to me somehow.
All it did was turn around and that should not change the focus of heat, it should radiate to every spot equally no matter which direction the ball is in.
What!? How is this possible? Wait? Is it coming closer to me? Every time it came closer I could feel the heat intensifying.
I was standing about 50 meters away. The ball had a diameter of 3 meters. Already in an area of around 4 meters everything was burnt up, even if it was magma so much heat is unnatural.
In the first place, floating magma is just as ridiculous.
I tried running away but my legs wouldn't listen to me. I already ran out of energy hours ago, the fact that I even made it here is a miracle.
I can't... I panted heavily while I kneeled on the soft embracing grass while I faced certain doom. The only thing I could think about was how worried my mom would be when she realizes that I had passed away.
It got so hot that the sweat on my body started evaporating immediately after forming.
My internal body temperature reached 42°celsius, on the verge of overheating and potential death.
I guess this is where I die... I gasped heavily for air as my body used up all it's precious water to turn into sweat and cool down my body. But it was for naught, my cooling method was not fast enough to counteract the heat, besides my water reserves were being used up insanely fast.
Warning! Overheat detected. Monitoring vasodilatation, engage heat transfer. Warning! Death imminent!
Atleast something cares about me in this world, even if it's an AI. I chuckled, accepting my immediate demise.
But, before I was turned to cinders I could feel the heat dying down. The temperature went up to a scorching 120°celsius before it dissapeared.
What? It's gone? I could barely move my head but I faintly saw a figure walking down here, and the ball of magma was nowhere to be seen.
Is that the person I shouted at? What is going on? I tried lifting myself up but I just fell down again.
"ካበይ ኢኻ መጺእካ? ስሒር ኣብ ዘይኰንካሉ እዋን እውን ከይተረፈ" The figure shouted to me.
What?? What language is this? What even happened?
The figure stopped, pondered, and then used another language.
"Máaxech? Tu'ux a taa?"
That sounds a bit more like an actual language.
I squinted my eyes and tried to look at the guy closer and he seemed to be wearing some very weird clothes. He wore a cape and I saw briefly that he also had leather armor under the cape.
This situation is very strange. Is he the one who maybe did something with that impossibly floating magma ball?
After some time in contemplation, the figure started coming closer.
I don't know what he wants from me but I need to take precautions. Nanobots, translate that language. I thought back to the new function of my nanobots and recited some random words in a hope to make the nanobots heed my commands.
Keyword detected. Monitor mode disengaged. Scanning memory... Analyzing language... Comparing with language bank. 10 languages with similarities found... TRANSLATING. Time remaining 3 minutes...
Oh, it worked! But. 3 minutes? Hm, that's not good. I need to think of something.
Just as I avoided death some minutes ago I am yet again in another crisis, maybe.
The figure quickly got closer and closer until he was around a meter away.
He bent his knees and looked me in the eyes.
Just as he was staring me into my soul I stared into his with a shaky gaze.
Just get it over with. I faintly tensed up as I waited for him to end me.
After about a minute of studying me he seemed to brighten up.
"You ኣዝዩ ዜስድዕ Fine specimen." He said with excitement, analyzing my expression for any emotion.
He seemed suspicious that I didn't react much, my smile just as neutral as ever, the pain in my eyes was obvious. I was scarred for life at this point.
Did he just call me a specimen?
I looked at him with a strange look.
This guy is messed up in the head.
Remaining time of TRANSLATE command: 1 minute
Oh great, now its finishing up. Anyway, that guy seems to think I'm fascinating, so there must be something about me that stands out. Is it my clothes maybe? My nanobots bracelet looks like just any other bracelet so it shouldn't be suspicious.
He walked circles around me while looking curious.
He stopped and suddenly pointed at me and brought his hand slowly up like he was lifting something heavy.
What is he doing?
Suddenly, I started feeling weightless.
"Whoah?!" I accidentally shouted out as I could see the ground going farther away. The thought that maybe I would fall down was prevalent. And it made me feel funny just spinning around, like in a zero gravity environment.
"Ahahaha! Finally I got something out of you! Why are you so emotionless? Were you abused maybe? Awwh, poor young man!"
He looked at me with playfulness.
"I thought you were from another planet but it seems I was incorrect, if you can understand me? It's kinda disappointing, I wanted to dissect an otherworldly being but I guess that will have to wait." He looked at me with sparkling eyes.
Dissect? That is an even worse death than getting eaten. Thank god I fooled him. I let out a sigh of relief.
But he's saying stuff about other worlds. That means other people must have come here in the past, hopefully people from Earth.
TRANSLATION of 2 languages complete.
Okay good.
I tried imagining a sentence in that strange language and I could actually successfully construct one!
This feels very weird, I know that I can speak those languages now even though I have never even studied them.
From my high vantage point I saw him standing below me and excepting for me to say something.
Shit, which language should I use? He used 2 different ones. Maybe I'll use the one he is using? But that might be a trap. What should I even say? I don't know if he still wants to dissect me or something. I'll just try to give out the least amount of information to start with.
"Hello." I awkwardly uttered out. But what else could one say in this situation?
He got a huge smile on his face and looked at me with wide open eyes.
"So you are from here? What's up with your strange getup then? How did you survive in this forest as a mere mortal??"
He eventually twirled around and started walking with me in tow. Well, strictly speaking, I wasn't walking, I was being forced by getting dragged around in the air.
"Come with me. You are invited to my abode, and we shall discuss this mystery there."
He started picking up the pace starting from a light jog to eventually running as fast as a train.
What the hell!? This is insanely fast! Strangely enough I didn't get much wind resistance or any bugs or anything in my face. It was like there was a wind shield in front of my face, even though there was nothing there.
I was just flying by the scenery without any interruptions.
In the corner of my eyes as we were passing by I saw a huge crater for a split second. There were burn marks and claw marks everywhere, and trees were felled within an area of at least 100 meters, it looked like a fight between gods.
What is going on in this planet?! A crater? A flying magma ball, strange creature and a man as fast as a train? I don't even know anymore...
The scenery flew by insanely fast as he maintained his superhuman speed.
"Ahaha." He laughs heartily as he runs down the forest with me in tow.
