A week passed quickly and Gin stayed in Kuoh Town. Cleria let him stay here and because of this, he managed to complete his quest, earning him a whopping 300 points. He also earned another 300 points as he successfully escape from the stray devil. So he had a total of 600 points at this moment.
It was too early for him to fight even the Low-class devil. He guessed that he would need him to achieve another Devil Body in another or level up his Evil Capital Devil Body to contend against the Low-class. Although the Evil Capital Devil Body raised his physical body, its main ability still lies in concealment. It was also the reason why he managed to escape from the stray devil.
'I'll focus on two things for now... First is to raise my combat power and the second is to earn money.'
Gin was holding a broom in his hand. He was cleaning the church right now. Cleria and Masaomi took him in and in return Gin decided to clean the church every day. It was nothing to him. At the very least, he would find a way to learn fighting skills from Cleria and Masaomi.
"To stand at the top, one must start at the bottom." He said to himself before he continued to sweep the floor with a broom.
After cleaning the church, Gin went out to beg once again. He kept all the earnings from begging for a future cause. Cleria and Masaomi have given him a place to stay so he wasn't hoping that they would also give him money. He had to earn on his own. If Cleria or Masaomi didn't teach him anything, he would pay someone to teach him a few basic self-defense techniques.
After begging, Gin returned to his place and start his training. He wouldn't risk himself fighting someone above his level. That's why he had to raise his ability so that even if that stray devil chased after him again, Gin could use brute force to overwhelm that guy. If the difference in strength was huge, fighting skills didn't matter. Just like the difference between a human and a giant. Even if the human was a world champion martial artist, it would only need one punch to squash the human.

Gin slowly opened his eyes and a whiff of Devil Qi escaped his mouth. He gazed at the Devil Qi Stone in his palm. The stone lost its luster and it looks like an ordinary stone right now.
"I've already used two Devil Qi Stones and I'm still at the first level of Evil Capital Devil Body." He said with a sigh.
The starter pack only gave him ten Devil Qi Stones. Once he runs out of it, his training speed would stagnate. He only had eight left. He guessed that by the time he fully drain another stone, he could level up his Devil Body.
Evil Capital Devil Body has a total of five levels. Each level would boost his concealment ability. It would also boost his physical body but not that much. For now, he should try to achieve another Devil Body.
He checked himself and found that the second faster Devil Body he could achieve was called Elemental Sea Devil Body. So he decided to practice this first. If he could achieve it, his physical body would rise once again.
Elemental Sea Devil Body. Inhaling and exhaling were the basis of this technique. Inhaling all sorts of materials, digest them, and then convert them into another form of energy and exhale them out. Its ability was called Destructive Breath.
It has eight levels at which bolster the ability of the Devil Body per level.
This was the main focus of this Devil Body. Body enhancement was just secondary.
Gin took out another Devil Qi Stone and started to absorb the Devil Qi in his body.
On the next day, Gin went to the church. Before he started his job, he saw Masaomi approaching him.
"Oh, Gin! You're early." Masaomi said with a smile.
"It's nothing. It's my job." Gin said plainly.
Masaomi stood at the side and gazed at the bright blue sky. After a few moments, he opened his mouth and asked, "What are you planning to do?"
"Me, I'm planning to earn money," Gin said. He wasn't lying tho. It was really one of his goals.
"Is that really your goal?" Masaomi asked.
"You have no idea how hard it is to live with nothing. I don't expect you to understand." Gin shook his head.
"After earning money, what are you planning to do next?" Masaomi asked.
"I'm going to get stronger and then find the devil who chased me," Gin replied.
"Hmm..." Masaomi glanced at him and asked one more question, "Do you hate the devils?"
"Not really, I just hate that specific devil because he almost killed me." Gin shrugged his shoulders.
