Two weeks had passed. The killings didn't stop at all. In these two weeks, another five people have been murdered. Three of them were beggars and the other two were ordinary people.
It shook the entire town and a lot of people. Parents wouldn't let their children out past six pm afraid that they were going to be the next victim. The police tried to investigate but they found nothing. They even talked with Gin and the other beggars for their statements.
In a dark alley, Gin slowly opened his eyes. A faint Devil Qi flashed deep inside his eyes as he slowly stood up. Gin felt invigorated as he opened and closed both of his palms.
"Finally... The first Devil Body."
He finally broke through the manual he was practicing. It was all thanks to the Devil Qi Stone that he received from the starter pack. Without this, it would take him another three months before he achieved his current state.
He achieved the Evil Capital Devil Body. He was practicing the Ten Great Devil Bodies and he didn't expect that this was the first one that he was going to achieve. In this technique, there were ten Devil Bodies that he could practice. Each one specialized in different fields and the Evil Capital Devil Body specialized in concealing skills.
This also increased his overall strength, especially his speed. He guessed that he was ten times faster than before. His speed already reached the limit beyond human capabilities. He could say that he finally step inside the realm of the supernatural.
'With this, my chance of survival have increased if the killer targeted me.' Gin said inwardly. He could also conceal his presence using the Evil Capital Devil Body.
"Hahahaha, I'm feeling great today. It's time to beg."
Although he had gotten stronger, Gin still had to beg people. After all, he still needs money to buy meals. His body wasn't self-sufficient so he wouldn't survive if he didn't eat anything.

For now, he chose to ignore the killings that were happening in the town. He still didn't have enough strength to confront the killer so he couldn't stop it. There was nothing he could do aside from praying for those poor souls that perished under the killer's hands.
A few hours had passed...
Gin looked at the can beside him. He picked it up and counted the coins that he earned today.
"Oho, what a big haul! A total of eight hundred ninety-seven yen!"
He was happy with his earnings. He didn't expect to earn this much in a single day. Compared to other people it was probably too low but for him, it was too much. He couldn't even control his emotion as a huge smile appeared on his face.
After experiencing a lot of things as a beggar, Gin would appreciate anyone that gave him money.
"Nice, nice, nice, nice, I wonder what will I eat today..."
Gin grinned widely as he walked while holding the can in his hand. He was hugging it as if it was the most precious thing in the world. His head was full of money right now.
"Money can't buy happiness? Bullshit! Only people that have money will say that! They don't know the experience of having nothing!" He said in disdain.
Money can buy happiness. I can buy those delicious meals and it will make me happy. I can buy clothes that will make me happy. If I can even make my father retire so that he didn't have to push himself too hard.
"Fuck! If I only have a lot of money... I will... I will..."
Gin felt like he was about to cry. Suddenly, he paused in his track as he heard laughter behind him. Goosebumps assaulted his body as his senses rose sharply to the maximum.
This...?
Gin's muscles tensed. He tightly gripped the can in his hand, afraid that it would slip up and fall to the ground. Then, without looking behind, he run as fast as he could.
While he was running he heard a notification in his mind...
*Ding!*

His body shot through the dark alley.
'What the hell?! I need to run!'
Gin's instinct was telling him to run. Although he had a body greater than ordinary humans, his fighting skill was pretty much lacking. He could overpower beggars since they were just ordinary humans but a person from the supernatural world would pretty much dismantle him given the difference in their fighting abilities.
"Ehe~ don't run..." A creepy voice sounded behind.
Gin shivered when he heard the voice. He sped up and kicked the ground, jumping into the air. He run through the roof and shouted, "Help me! The killer is here! He is chasing me!"
"You! You're not an ordinary human!" The voice was a little bit shocked seeing Gin's speed.
"Yes, I'm not an ordinary human so stop chasing me!" Gin answered. He swore to god that if he somehow survive this calamity, he would hide some of his earnings so that he could pay people for self-defense training.
Shit! Money again! Everything needs money!
