CONTROLLING OUR ABILITIES FOR THE FIRST TIME.

The two brothers were dropped off at the entrance, with the sensors still in shock from the new treatment they are receiving. They proceeded through the gate, and this time, nothing happened. Xi Chen had learned to control the power within him, so the sensors did not go off. His brother paused briefly to bid him farewell and assured him that he would wait for him at the gate after school. They were going to their new home together, although they were uncertain of its location. Their new driver/bodyguard knew the way. Xi Ren then made his way towards the general/normal school.

Xi Chen observed his brother for a moment, ensuring that he appeared fine before heading to the special school. As he reached the front door, he coincidentally bumped into Xin Yi, who was waiting to enter. Due to the high level of security at the special school, every student had to scan their retinas to ensure that only authorized individuals gained access. Xi Chen greeted Xin Yi, and she responded with a smile and a nod, continuing her wait. He couldn't help but smile to himself, noticing how different she was at school compared to when she was at his house.

Finally, it was Xi Chen's turn. He scanned his retina and entered. Uncertain of where to go, he discovered that Xin Yi was still waiting for him when he arrived. When she laid eyes on him, she began to walk, prompting him to interpret it as a sign to follow. And so he did. They arrived at the same room they had used for orientation the previous day. They scanned their retinas and entered one after the other. The familiar group of students from yesterday was still present. However, this time they paid him no attention and carried on with their conversation. He walked over to the spot where he had sat the day before and took a seat, patiently waiting for the teacher to arrive.

A female teacher with blue hair entered the classroom, causing the entire class to fall silent. She introduced herself as Teacher An Bo Jiang and explained that she would be guiding them through the first step of their orientation. She asked if they had learned how to control their energy without allowing it to overflow. They all nodded in response, and she nodded back, acknowledging their understanding. It was evident that this group of students was exceptionally talented, as the lowest rating among them was a B, which was quite unusual. Teacher An Bo Jiang proceeded by confirming whether they had all been informed of their evaluation and ratings, and again, they all nodded in agreement. She then informed them that, based on their grades, they would be divided accordingly. Those who achieved an A or above would automatically be assigned to the warrior training area.

B individuals would be assessed based on their skills and talents, and they would be recommended to join either the warrior or logistic division. Those below B level would automatically be assigned to the logistic division. The logistic division primarily consisted of office workers, administrators, business owners, and individuals with general job roles whose abilities were best suited for supporting and managing the everyday lives of the transendants. On the other hand, the warrior class was exclusively designed for individuals with warrior potential. They received training on honing their abilities, both in hand-to-hand combat and weapon handling. Additionally, they were occasionally required to enter the shadow world for practical training, but this was a later stage, and they would always be accompanied by experienced and trained warriors.

These were the two divisions within the school, and each student fell into one of these categories. The students listened attentively as she explained the categorization system. Some of them had questions brewing in their minds. After clarifying this, she informed the class that most of them would likely be placed in the warrior class, so she would focus the orientation towards warrior training. She then invited those who had tested at B-level to come forward. A male and a female student stepped up to her. She asked them if they had learned how to manifest their unique abilities

Both of them shook their heads in response. The teacher inquired about their abilities, and it turned out that the female student possessed the power to communicate with plants and animals, as well as control them. On the other hand, the boy had the unique combination of being a seer and a strategist. If only his strategic ability was taken into account, he would have been recommended straight to logistics and trained in a route that would hone his mind. However, when his seer abilities were factored in, he also had the potential to become a warrior, depending on his choice. Seers had top-tier abilities that allowed them to foresee possible future occurrences. If combined with a strategic mind, he had a powerful potential to both see and influence and even control future events. That was a unique combination, and even though the rating for both powers wasn’t too high, it was still capable of shaking the world. If trained well, he would be in charge of seeing possible battle outcomes and coming up with battle strategies during missions, which is definitely an asset for any warrior team. Now if he decided to go the logistic route as a full-time strategist with a seers boost, that was a good option too. Ultimately, the boy decided to join the warriors. The girl also chose to move forward as a warrior as well, and thus this became the first full warrior orientation class ever as of now, provided no other students joined before the end of this group orientation.

To begin, she first explained to them how to manifest and utilize their abilities. She told them to tap into the energy they had contained within them, like what Xichen had done the night before, but instead of releasing their energy explosively (like what Xichen had done the previous night), she told them to open their palms towards the sky and suspend their elements above their hands. The teacher showcased this technique by suspending a ball of water above her hands. With skill and precision, she bounced it from one hand to another, tossed it into the air, momentarily froze it in place, and then let it go. The water ball descended rapidly towards the ground, but just before it could make contact, she halted its descent and pulled it back towards her hand. Finally, she closed her hand tightly around it. When she eventually reopened her hand, both the water and the ball had vanished. She asked them to feel the elements within them and those around them and use both in tandem.

Impressed by her display, the students eagerly followed suit to practice trying to control their own abilities under the watchful eye of their teacher. Xi Chen was the first person to succeed, as he conjured a ball of light above his hands, followed by the quiet boy in the corner with the ability to manipulate shadows, who conjured a small swirling black ball above his hands, and if you looked at it close enough, you would see a hole in the center, which was like a black void, and then Xin Yi conjured a ball of ice. Another young boy raised his hand and informed the teacher that his ability was to move at superspeed. He was curious about how he could summon this power. The teacher explained that superspeed is associated with the wind element, so he would need to summon the wind in order to activate his ability. She demonstrated by summoning a gentle breeze, at first invisible but noticeable as it caused particles in the air to float. Coincidentally, her second ability was also related to wind.

Inspired by her explanation, the boy attempted to replicate what she had shown him. However, instead of a gentle breeze, he conjured a violent whirlwind that resembled a tornado. It scattered everything in its path, including the teacher's hair and the items on her desk. While her breeze was calm and gentle, his was a powerful storm that swept away everything in its wake. The teacher gently guided him on how to control the intensity of the wind, teaching him to increase or decrease its speed. She then encouraged him to try controlling the wind around his own body.

The moment he did, he vanished from sight, causing everyone to gasp in surprise. Seconds later, they heard a loud crash as he slammed into the opposite wall. He had moved so quickly that their eyes couldn't keep up with him. Despite the pain from the impact, he still had a smile on his face at the joy of succeeding; he became the fourth person in the class to succeed. He moaned in agony, sitting up and still seeing stars from the intense impact. The pain of crashing into a wall with such force lingered, but surprisingly, he wasn't severely injured. An exhilarated expression filled his eyes as he realized what he had just accomplished. The teacher, noticing his condition, remarked, "Oh, I forgot to mention that we possess exceptional durability. We aren't easily harmed. However, that doesn't mean we are invincible. We simply have greater resilience than the average person, along with accelerated healing. So feel free to test your abilities, but still exercise caution because we still experience pain like anyone else." She concluded her statement.

After hearing this, everyone began to experiment with and try to summon their powers. The girl, who possessed the ability to manipulate animals and plants, utilized sound and wind to command a bird in flight to come to her. The bird obediently landed on the palm of her hand, and finding it endearing, she gently caressed it before allowing it to soar freely once more. The rest of the class was also busy figuring out and testing their own abilities. A boy attempted to showcase the advanced skills he had seen the teacher do earlier, but unfortunately, his control was lacking. Instead of a controlled fireball, it multiplied and scattered in various directions, causing fear among the other students. Some of the students, in turn, lost control over their abilities, contributing to the chaos. The teacher utilized her wind powers to draw the unleashed powers towards her, but four fireballs managed to break free and grew larger when they came into contact with the oxygen in the air. One fireball headed towards Xi Chen, another towards Xi Yin, a third towards the shadow boy, and the last one towards a random girl. Before the teacher could react, Xi Chen caught the fireball with his hands, as he also had an affinity for fire. Xin Yi contained it within a ball of ice, which, although melted, managed to quench the fire in the process, and the shadow boy swallowed the fire within the void hole in his small black ball that had expanded in his hands to contain the fire. The last girl ducked, and the teacher finally extinguished the fireball that was headed her way with water, putting out the flames. She also proceeded to neutralize the other uncontrollable abilities that she had contained.

Observing the three students, the teacher made a mental note of their exceptional skills in this class. She was particularly taken aback by the unassuming boy, who had quietly sat in the shadows until this incident occurred. Prior to this, she hadn't even noticed him, but now she has resolved to pay attention to him moving forward. She continued explaining their abilities and how to properly utilize them, cautioning them against practicing alone or without supervision until they had gained better control. She proceeded to provide further explanations regarding their abilities and the proper way to utilize them, cautioning them again against attempting to do so when alone or unsupervised until they had obtained the necessary permit to use their powers without the presence of experienced individuals. Apparently, there had been an incident where a boy accidentally set his house on fire while testing his abilities. Although most houses now have safeguards in place to counteract the effects of these powers, it was still advisable to exercise caution. Additionally, she taught them how to regulate the amount and intensity of their abilities.

As her allotted time of two hours came to an end, it was time for the next class, which happened to be a fitness testing session. Typically, the class would be divided into two groups: one for logistics trainees and another for warrior trainees. However, since the entire class consisted of aspiring warriors, they would all be participating in the same fitness class. Leading the way, the teacher requested that they follow her to the gymnasium. They obediently followed her, and upon reaching the door, she utilized her retina scan to notify the teacher of their arrival before departing without entering herself.
