5th Scroll: Victorious Return! Surprising Rewards!

Less than 15 minutes later, both Jinpachi and Kushimaru had been disabled. Both members of the Heartless Pair were then tied up and placed under genjutsu so that they would have a harder time trying to escape from their captors.

Darui, who was the most wounded, looked at their captives and smiled.

"We are bringing back two big shots from Kiri. I'm sure that the old man will give us an extra reward for our accomplishments."

Mabui looked at the parts of her dress that were cut up and frowned.

'I can't believe they tore this thing up. It was one of my favorites,' she silently complained, already planning on spending part of the reward money on a new dress. Mabui had the Nuibari strapped across her back while Samui held onto the Shibuki. Both of these weapons were nice but Kumo needed no such weapons. They would most likely have to trade them back to Kiri or willingly trade them for a reward that they could keep for themselves as neither of the blades suited any of the top swordsmen fighting styles in the village.

"Let's get moving," Darui said while slinging the pair over each of his shoulders, holding them by the bandages around their necks.

The two girls nodded in response before taking off in the direction that they had left before to try and meet up with Yugito.

--- 15 minutes prior ---

Ao was watching the battle with shock on his face. He had already backed away, knowing that if he stayed it would be his life that he forfeited. The monster before them was not something that the chunin they brought along could take down. This was someone that had truly learned how to control their Tailed Beast.

Yugito was moving through the battlefield in her hybrid Jin form. It was where she took on the characteristics of her tailed beast without fully transforming into it, something most Jinchuriki were incapable of doing. So not only did she have a chakra cloak that increased her physical abilities and defense, but she also got some abilities that were limited to her true, tailed beast form. Yugito got a massive increase in her flexibility and agility while her sense of smell and hearing increased to an even higher level. Because of that, she was able to easily hunt down and kill the hunter-nin in an efficient manner without them being able to do anything to stop her.

Ao watched his comrades die one after another from a child less than half his age. But he wasn't willing to stay around and watch the end of the battle. The man hurried to run away from the battle, using the excuse that he needed to report what happened to his superiors as the reason why he could not stay and battle.

But as he was running away, Ao felt a pair of eyes fall on him. He turned around to see Yugito looking at him and smiling as she took the head off one of his comrades. That was a look that Ao would not forget for the rest of his life and a reason why he would always fear going into battle against Kumogakure.

By the time Darui and the others arrived, the battlefield was filled with dead bodies, either those that were burnt down to the bone or ones that had dozens of slaw marks over their body as well as a final lethal injury like being beheaded or stabbed through the heart. They saw Yugito lying with her back against a tree, enjoying the rays of sunlight falling on her. It would have been a wonderful sight if not for all of the blood on the young girl.

Darui looked around and knew he made the right choice. Having a Jinchuriki made this mission much easier.

"Time to go. Take one of these guys as well since you don't have to carry anything," Darui complained before tossing her the body of Jinpachi. The girl caught him without complaint before jumping down from her branch to join the others. They then proceeded to make their way back to Kumo, running into C along the way. By the time they got back to Kumo 2 days later, they were each covered in dirt and blood, except for C who had it the easiest.

But as they carried the bodies of the two swordsmen as well as the swords through the village, many shinobi could not help but stop and look at the sight.

"Is that..."

"It is. That sword is definitely the real deal."

"I've seen that bastard in the mask before. I would recognize him even if his body was destroyed. That's the real one."

"So the Raikage's kids and that Jinchuriki were able to capture them? Was that their mission?"

"Who knows? Maybe they were going to capture that guy the blonde kid is carrying and those two were his guards."

"Isn't that even more impressive then? They were able to adapt to such a dangerous opponent on the fly and take them captive, not even just kill them. With their capture, Kiri has been humiliated and the secrets they have will be exposed."

By the time Darui's group reached the raikage's office, A (I will simply refer to as the 3rd Raikage by one of his titles while the son will be called A) was waiting for them with over 20 ninjas. Half of the members removed the Kiri shinobi and legendary swords while the other ones brought each of the kids away to debrief them on the mission. Each child was assigned two expert chunin whose jobs were to get as much information as possible from targets and to detect lies or dishonesty.

After nearly an hour of talking to each one of them and another hour going over the information, the children were put before the 3rd Raikage, A, and the captain of the chunin who were debriefing them.

"And from our conclusion, we conclude that the members of the squad have been honest and have left out no deceit. The results of their mission will allow Kumogakure to have a massive advantage in any upcoming war. We believe that their accomplishments should be rewarded on the highest level as well as trading for the items acquired from the 7 Swordsmen in order to trade those back with Kiri," the man wearing goggles finished his report

"Hmm. Thank you, Rengoku. We will do as you say," the 3rd Raikage agreed with the report. "We will change the mission from being a B-Rank mission to an A-Rank mission. Each member will receive 200,000 ryo while Darui as captain will receive 500,000. Darui will also be rewarded for both weapons which I want to trade for a weapon from the vault as well as an S-Rank ninjutsu scroll. Darui, are you fine with these arrangements?"

"Of course, Lord Raikage!" Darui hurried to agree. He would be dumb not to. The Raikage's vault had all of the powerful weapons that Kumo had collected over the years, including the tools from the Sage of 6 Paths in the past, though now, it only had two of those tools left. Besides the weapon he would get though, the fact that he would be receiving an S-Rank scroll might be worth even more than the weapon if he got the right scroll.

"Good," the older man replied before writing checks on 5 slips of paper and tamping them. He then passed the papers to Darui who passed them to the other members of his team. The 3rd Raikage then wrote down passes to allow Darui to collect a tool from the vault and an S-Rank scroll before stamping them as well. Darui collected both of the passes before thanking the 3rd Raikage and leaving the office with the rest of his team.

The other members of the team wanted to get back to their homes to shower and rest while Darui could not help being excited. He immediately went to the vault to grab his new tool.
