Seeking entertainment his eyes would dart around the room, only keeping himself stimulated by chewing. The numbing sensation of his legs was something he'd already grown accustomed to, making it only a minor inconvenience as he knelt down on the padded floor .
The distant chatter coming from the monitor and the only form of entertainment in the room were both illegible, zoned out due to a lack of focus as Rei yawned.
Although bored, I still have my standards and refuse to watch these shit shows, besides they only make it worse.
24/7 correctional cable wasn't all that great. Letting out a groan from the frustration , Rei looked towards his shadow "Hey, you're not scamming me right? you keep on insisting that something's gonna happen yet here we are." He inquired
But of course to the outside eye , there were no reactions; to the guard this was but another quirk of the inmates. Not only Rei's room but many others were shown on the many screens plastered across the surveillance room
To Rei, his "imaginary" friend was very much real as it responded whilst some observer from the surveillance room prepared himself for a little show, entertainment was hard to come by on this island afterall.
From disappointment to quickly brightening up, Rei's face grimaced sourly before breaking into a devious grin as his hands barely managed to reach his chin due to his restraints.
With the little freedom provided by the chains bound to his arms he shuffled over, readjusting his body with some small audible pops from certain joints, with a deep breath he then allowed his muscles to relax, gazing at the ceiling of the dirty-white padded room.
"Eh." with an expression of ridicule creeping up his face, he would pause for a moment before exhaling "It's been what. Four? possibly five years? either way " He huffed as he once "It's been too long, at this rate I'll really become crazy either from the drugs or the isolation."
But more complaints to the void , I suppose. How annoying . "Tch" With a click of his tongue he returned his attention to his shadow, furrowing his brows as he focused in reaction to something

In protest his hands were quickly brought up, tugging on the chains as they were shaken dismissively "No way" He rebutted
Closing his eyes Rei quickly imagined a whiteboard before him , a sum of all the years he assumed to have spent there only totaled to the year 19', yet his otherworldly friend claimed that it was the year 23.
A suspicious gaze was shot at the shadow as Rei's brows were knitted seriously, pondering as he attempted to put pressure on the other
His face hurt from the strain as it yielded no apparent result.
An angry stomach growled in protest, very much against it's owner's energetic behavior as it reminded him of his hunger
"You know what they say...can't do much on an empty stomach huh" Finally Rei relented as his shoulders hung , with a lethargic face he then asked "Oh, so. What's on the menu today huh?" his upturned face staring at the all too perfect and familiar ceiling which had been over him for the past years
But soon the picky eater's face became ashen as he forced himself onto his legs without the use of his arms "Bean paste? again?-" He seemed to mirror the voice which only he could hear with a tone of uncertainty , soon accepting the truth.
"That's it." He barked through his teeth as he pushed himself forth tugging on his chains "I'm going on a riot yeah!" He exclaimed boldly, glaring straight at the tv
"Hey! You watching! let me out!?
....
"Please?-"
"Come on!"
His pleas fell on deaf ears, and moving so much only made his hunger more unbearable, in the end Rei fell back onto his knees, visibly annoyed as beads of sweat decorated the contours of his face
"Damn it. " He cursed "my mood is sour now" glancing at his shadow once again "Tell me something fun, entertain me." His tone akin to a spoiled brat demanding something from his elders
Surely enough, the entertainment he asked for was soon delivered as he forgot his worries. . . I mean hunger and indulged in the Being's prophecies
"So. . . " A stifled yawn forced him to pause, before he could finish his sentence as his heavy eyelids fell ". . . Tired."

Unknown to Rei, every time he would 'predict' the food he'd get that day, it would attract the attention of some guards.
To the point where it had become a small tradition in the ward for them to bet on the foods and whether or not he'd get it right. A day prior one of the guards had lost the bet, swapping out the menu out of spite for Beans; Rei really disliked those.
