It was a sunny, clear day and a 14 year old boy was walking back home from school on a small dirt sidewalk of a small russian village.

The boy’s name is Tom, he is a short with brown hair and green eyes and he is not happy because he is coming back with an F on a math test and he knows that his dad probably going to beat him.

His mother is usually off to work even if he does not see any kind of income coming from her and his dad is a heavy alcoholic who currently a part timer on a job at a construction site where almost all his money go on alcohol, cigarettes, his mom’s trips and lastly on the bare minimum Tom needs to live a somewhat normal life. Tom does not enjoy his time there too much so he usually spend his weekends at his grandmother.

When he arrives to his house he opened the door just enough to see if his father was home and takes a look around. It seemed that his father was away to some bar so he enters.

He puts his coat on a chair and starts to take out the books from his backpack and put in the books he needed for the next day and went off to his grandmother who was living a coupe of streets away to do his homework in peace.

When he arrives there he puts his backpack next to the kitchen table and starts to look around after his granny.

Tom:”Oh that’s right she told me that she is going to church to some kind of event or something. Well in the mean time I should go and water the garden.”

His grandma’s name was Adelina Lupu but people often called her Adela. Tom was helping her out with the little garden they arranged in the back of her small, rustic Russian house. This garden consisted of some potatoes, carrot and tomato plants that were constantly providing food during hot seasons.

After he is done with this task he goes and starts doing his homework and in the later afternoon he starts to watch a few episodes from some isekay anime on an old computer some neighbor gave to him so he wouldn’t have to throw it away. He always dreamed about going to a parallel world where all women are all over him and you are almighty.

He closes the computer and takes the change he got in exchange for his help with fixing a neighbor’s fence. He gets even less compliments than the average boys of his age but all off them were about his intelligence.

When he needed money for snacks or because he needed books for school he would neglect his homework and go around in the village to see if anyone needs his help in exchange for money or food. His biggest jackpots were when he helped some boy to find his dog by tracing his foot prints and a girl to find her cat by randomly finding her behind some trees. In total from both of those catches he got 10 dollars and the compliments that made him somewhat secure of his intelligence level. The 10 dollars he originally planned to save them but he ended up spending it all on a small lego set that now sits on the kitchen table in his grandma’s house.

Putting that aside, he takes some change and goes for walk to a shop to buy some chips when he sees a bright yellow light in some bushes across the street.

Tom raises an eyebrow and approaches the light that was a few steps away from him.

The light didn’t seem to be the one coming from a fire or some light bulb, but it was weirdly calming to Tom. So he approaches to see what‘s in there.

Next thing he knew was that the light was engulfing him and he tried to back away, but it was futile because he barely had time to move his face to search and escape route that the light surounded him.

After that it was pure darkness and he felt like he was in a sack, unable to move. He starts to try to escape but something like giant hand grabs him by his feet and feels like he is being pulled out. He starts to panic thinking that he probably made a big mistake and he is going to die.

He starts seeing light and that he is going thru a very tight entrance. After a few painful minutes he realizes that he is no longer in his former village and body and that he has been reborn.
