This cycle was supposed to be easy.
That's what the Reaper thought as he entered Illos and faced two puny humans. In the last cycle, it was shameful to admit, but they had almost lost to the inferior. So, in this one, he did everything he could to ensure a quick victory.
It seemed as though the heavens were on his side, as he gained support from a 'friend'. However, the situation wasn't looking good for him right now.
He had just gone to use the Relay when it exploded, injuring him to an incredible degree. This made him furious.
So, he retaliated. He started to rain down fire on the location of the army, his and the enemy. He was going to annihilate all of them, no matter the price. This is the fate of those who defy his species.

The damage from the object was far worse than usual because the Reaper had already been damaged in the Relay explosion. Hell, even if he hadn't been injured before, the strike would have inflicted serious harm.
Before he had the chance to gather his thoughts or fire his beam, he noticed another object entering the planet. Then one more—four, ten...
At that moment, he accepted his fate. Absolutely confident in his victory, his last thought was: WE WON!
BOOMMMMMM
That was the end of Narada, or Sovereign. He went out after completing his mission, causing significant damage to the reputation of the galaxy and its morale, especially to LD numbers. The attack on Illos had reduced the company's numbers, and now it was a race against time.
Who would come out on top in the end?
