The group soon arrived at the location where Wrex's party was taking place. However, this time everyone was looking up at the clouds in the sky.

The reactions of the other Krogans on the planet were the same. They didn’t exactly know what the cloud meant, but based on what Wrex had said previously, they assumed that it was the cure.

That alone made them ecstatic, but soon confirmation would come.

RR and the same Krogan from before, the one who had helped them film Wrex's declaration earlier, started to set up the equipment once more.

They began to transmit Wrex's speech again, this time a different one.

"My people, earlier today I promised all of you the cure to our curse. And now, I'm here to confirm it to you. THE GENOPHAGE IS NO MORE!"

Wrex's emotions were visible as he spoke with emotion.

"The clouds you see in the sky are the cure! It's going to reach the whole world, so no matter where you are right now, by our estimates, in a matter of hours, you will be FREE from the curse."

"Which means, in a few hours, everyone could have babies once more! So, do not hesitate. The galaxy is on the brink of the biggest war ever, and we can’t miss the fun. So, grab a partner or two and enjoy yourselves!"

"LONG LIVE THE KROGAN EMPIRE!"

What followed was the Krogans screaming their frustration at the top of their lungs. Some were shouting for bloody war, murder, and so on, but the majority were relieved. Some of them were even crying.

This was to be expected, as they had suffered for a long time. All in all, today was a turning point in Krogan history. The Reapers will have a lot of trouble ahead.

The rest of the day was chaotic, to say the least, especially for the male Krogans, particularly those considered strong. The females, who wanted "strong" babies, pursued them relentlessly.

Even then, all males had their turn, as at one point—perhaps because the strongest were already captured—the females stopped caring about strength. They just wanted babies.

By the way, Wrex was the first to be 'kidnapped.' It happened right after the second speech, and no one from Phoenix noticed.

The females had somehow bypassed Kasumi, Thane, RR, and EDI's monitoring—an amazing feat, really.

Once they noticed that, the entire crew decided to protect Grunt. They almost failed, as the females tried to kidnap him right after doing the same to Wrex, but the crew managed to shield him and retreat to the Phoenix.

Additionally, some members of the crew had funny ideas, as some found the way the female Krogans acted quite... attractive.

There were a surprisingly large number of them in the crew, but Samael stopped them in their tracks just as they were about to leave the Phoenix to "explore" Tuchanka.

Samael had a deep, stern look on his face. "I don't recommend it."

None of the group said anything, they all just stared at the sky(?).

Samael sighed, "I mean, it's fun and all, but..." His voice trailed off. He had lived for far too long and had obviously "experimented" with all sentient species in the galaxy, including the Krogan. So he knew that only those who had taken the Chimera serum would manage to survive a fun night with a female Krogan.

"Wait a minute..." He suddenly noticed that all those who wanted to experiment sex with the Female Krogan were the ones who had taken the serum alongside Veronica and John.

Samael was about to continue speaking, but the group backed off suddenly, without him needing to say much. That made him suspicious of their intentions but he decided to ignore them for now, as they weren't doing anything wrong...yet.

After that, everyone on the Phoenix went to sleep. They were sure things would quiet down by morning.

HOURS LATER

"Who was the one who said things would calm down, huh?" Samael asked no one in particular while looking at the cameras around the Phoenix. They showed that Tuchanka's current state was worse than before.

The planet was overcrowded with Krogan, leaving almost no place for them to conduct their activities in private. As a result, at some point yesterday, they had stopped caring and began to have sex in the open.

Meaning, the whole planet was filled with females Krogan all around, looking for their next target.

Worse still, Wrex was still missing, and his presence was crucial for the upcoming Citadel Reunion, which was set to take place in five days. In more ways than one, they were stuck on Tuchanka.

Samael turned off the cameras, as he really didn't need to see what was happening, and made a decision. He went to the cockpit and used the coms around the Phoenix to call for a meeting, '' Attention, Wrex was kidnapped by sex-crazed-female Krogan. He is needed elsewhere, so we have to rescue the bastard. Everyone, meet at the bar to discuss further plans.''

Samael knew that if he didn’t take Wrex with him now, the Krogan wouldn’t be able to participate in the reunion. While the situation was quite comical from others' perspectives, the rescue operation was anything but funny.

MINUTES LATER

Everyone in the Phoenix had gathered at the bar. Some, like Tali, with the help of RR and Liara, had sent drones outside right after Samael's call to try to locate Wrex, who was still missing at this point.

Meanwhile, others, like Joker, were already brainstorming ideas. “How about using Grunt as bait?” he suggested.

Grunt nodded enthusiastically. Feeling left out of the fun, he said, "I like that idea."

Samara spoke for Samael, having grown fond of the young Krogan. "Rejected."

"NOT FAIR!" Grunt exclaimed.

Joker sighed, "I’ve run out of ideas, then."

Everyone rolled their eyes at Joker, including EDI.

"How about using a sleeping-inducing drug and then using the Shroud to make everyone sleep?" Mordin suggested after some thought.

Samael had enough drugs to do that, but he replied, "No. It should be simple and fast. Besides, Tuchanka isn’t a planet where you can sleep anywhere. We would be putting others in danger."

Tuchanka was riddled with dangers, from Thresher Maws everywhere to other types of aggressive wildlife. Making all Krogans sleep would put them all in danger.

Mordin hummed, indicating that he understood.

"How about using the same method we used against the Collectors?" Samara suggested. Even though she hadn’t been at the Citadel battle, many videos of it were available, and she had studied them. What she proposed was a good option, only—

"It would attract too much attention. Who knows how those females would react upon seeing a barrier?"

Shepard said after Samara's suggestion was rejected. "So it seems our only option is an extract and run. But we will use non-lethal methods."

Samael nodded. "Veronica and Joker, you two need to be ready to leave at any moment. The rest of us, minus Grunt—"

"WHYYYY.''

" Will rescue Wrex in the traditional way. We just need his location."

"We found it!" Liara's voice broke through at that moment. She and Tali had located Wrex's position.

It wasn't far from where they were, so it should be simple.

Samael nodded after seeing the location, '' Good job. Now, everyone suit up and get ready to depart!''

MINUTES LATER

With Shepard leading the way, everyone stealthily disembarked from the Phoenix. After all, Krogans were all around the planet, and one sound could attract the females to their location.

The group consisted of Samara, Samael, Shepard, Javik, John, Mordin, Tali, Liara, RR, and many members of the crew. EDI stayed behind to assist Veronica and Joker in case of an emergency.

Slowly, they made their way towards Wrex's location, using Tali's drones to guide them.

Things went okay at the beginning, until—

“LOOK OUT!” a crew member screamed, followed by a non-lethal shot.

BANG!

When those at the front looked back, they noticed that at least three members had been kidnapped by the female Krogans, who had somehow turned into stealth masters in a matter of days.

The problem was, that another crew member said in a hurry, “Hey, they wanted to be taken! I saw them smiling like maniacs when they got captured.”

It seemed that the trio wanted to get captured. Samael recognized them after a fast headcount: they were part of the group that wanted to 'explore' Tuchanka yesterday.

“Well, they got their wish... and they took the serum, so they should be able to handle it... I think.”

A discussion was needed, but that could wait. “Ignore them for now and focus on Wrex!” Samael ordered. They continued on their path, cursing and praying for their captured comrades.

Tuchanka's streets were filled with male Krogans “sleeping” with smiling faces, but no females were visible. It seems they were hiding in the shadows, waiting for the right time to attack.

The group soon arrived at the location where Wrex was.

“Wait!” Tali's urgent voice was heard, trembling slightly. “I'm counting 20—no, 50 heat signatures inside, close to where Wrex is... It seems to be a trap.”

At that moment, a trembling Kasumi and a sweating Thane decloaked. They said, “We can confirm. We tried to save him, but there was no chance to act. They were all around him, above and below.”

Samael took a sharp breath. Things had gotten much more difficult. “Okay, who wants to leave? Things will get complicated now.”

No one said anything. With determination in his eyes, Samael motioned for Shepard to enter the almost-ruined building.

She took a deep breath and did just that.

It was dark inside, and the smell was almost unbearable, but they pushed forward. Just as Shepard was about to take a step, Samael stopped her by putting a hand on her shoulder.

When she looked back, she saw him pointing at the floor, where dozens of female Krogan were sleeping.

If she had taken that step just now, she would have woken them up. After nodding in appreciation, she continued leading.

They passed many Krogans, both male and female, until they finally arrived at where Wrex was.

Shepard’s job ended here, and Samael and Javik took over. Samael was going to carry Wrex on his back, as he had lost the rock-paper-scissors game earlier. The Prothean would go in case of an emergency.

Everyone got into a position where they could retreat quickly, and the duo made their way toward Wrex. They had to tiptoe their way, as there were many sleeping females in their path.

GROAN

Samael could hear Wrex groan, but he ignored it and cautiously grabbed him, making sure not to wake up the others. He managed to put the Krogan on his back and was on his way out when—

PFTTT

Wrex's stomach rumbled. It seemed that the activity yesterday had made him hungry. The problem was that the sound was so loud it woke up everyone in the room.

Sameal pupil dilated and he screamed, “RUNNNN!!”

Not even five minutes later, the whole group was seen running out of the building. They had rescued the nearly unconscious Wrex but attracted the attention of the females.

Worse still, it seemed that all the females around the planet had developed a hive mind, those outside became aggressive and started to attack the crew.

They ran for their lives, with Samael carrying Wrex on his back while the others protected him.

Even then, some sacrifices were made. All those who had stayed behind to buy time for the others to escape were males who had taken the serum and had tried to leave yesterday.

It seemed their plan worked in the end. They could not be rescued right now, so they would stay on Tuchanka for a while before being saved.

BANG!

Samara shot a female Krogan that had pounced on them, making it slide for a few meters. But, not even three seconds later, the female recovered and grinned, "Is that all?"

Samara continued to shoot, but the number of females was only increasing.

"We won't be able to hold them off for long!" Shepard screamed as she opened a path.

Suddenly, at the front, they saw the Phoenix right in front of them, ready to depart. Hope filled their eyes, and they rushed inside.

As soon as everyone entered, Samael ordered, "CLOSE THE DOOR!"

The hangar door closed just as countless Krogans jumped onto it, making some dents here and there. The Phoenix then took flight, leaving Tuchanka for good.

Samael looked at Wrex, who was exhausted. "I need some water," he said.

It seemed Wrex had been awake the whole time but had no strength to help. Samael kicked him playfully. "You literally had to give them the green light for that, huh?"

The old Krogan sighed. "Even I didn't predict this would happen... but I can't say I didn't enjoy it."

Samael said nothing more and kicked Wrex again. The Krogan was too tired to move, making him an easy target.

"HEY, stop! I'm sore all over!" Wrex protested.

Far from stopping, Samael looked around and said, "If anyone has a grievance with him, now's the time to enjoy it!"

The crew had suffered a bit, losing at least seven members who had taken the serum to Tuchanka. Again, they would be rescued, but only later, as their focus was on reaching the Migrant Fleet, then the Citadel.

Some people, like Samara, took that opportunity and started to kick Wrex. "This is for what you did centuries ago!" she exclaimed.

Wrex felt confused. "What did I do?!"

"I don't remember, but it must have been something bad," she replied.

Wrex was too dumbfounded to respond. After Samara, Kasumi and Thane took their turns kicking him as well.

Because of him, they both had to watch the Krogans have sex for hours.

After everyone kicked Wrex, Samael handed the Krogan over to Clare and Chawkas. "Make sure he's okay," he instructed.

Both doctors nodded and went on their way.

Now that they had left Tuchanka, they needed to head to their next destination, though Samael hadn’t revealed where that was.

Most assumed it was the Citadel, but when Shepard asked, "Where to now?"

Samael replied, "To the Migrant Fleet." He looked at Tali, who was already becoming emotional. "We freed the Krogans from their curse; it's time to do the same for the Quarians."

Tali kissed him. "Thank you."

Samael nodded and said to Veronica and Joker, "Set a course for the Migrant Fleet!"
