She and the other resurrected children were the only villagers who actually spoke with Mortis, who explained the potential consequences of returning to the living world as clearly as possible to them.

Alasdair retired from the Stoneshield army where he served as a Mess Sergeant. While he was serving he met and fell in love with his wife Mesalin. Together they joined the recently established Still-Leaf Village and built The Root and Bough Tavern. He mostly handles the food side of the business. He alternates with his wife for the title Counselor of Hospitality.

Aleka was raised in an orc tribe that traveled alongside the Walking Sea. Her tribe already had plenty of blacksmiths, so after finishing her apprenticeship she traveled to the city of artisans, Stoneshield. After meeting her partner Emrik the pair rented the best property they could afford and worked to make a name for themselves. Aleka did a few jobs for Marsaili, a general of Stoneshield. That led to the dwarven general introducing her and her partner to Keira, an undead elven warrior who offered the pair a big job and maybe a home in Still-Leaf Village.

Like all gorgons Antheia was brought to Moirai, a fate reader, who determined she would be a scholar. As a result, she was brought to the City State of Stone Lilly to be hatched and raised by The Library of Stone and Tide. After she paid off her Fate Price she was given Moirai’s Final Gift, the last portion of the Fates judgment given to her as an egg meant to aid them in finding their place in the world. Following the advice of the Moirai she traveled to The Gateway Forest and eventually joined the Still-Leaf Village. While the village was too low Tier to officially support her shop she built her home with the intention of it also serving as her enchanter’s shop. She is the Counselor of the Arcane.

After spending years tending to her grove and protecting the germination seed of an alraune given to her by The Emerald Grove Cara was maimed while defeating a threat to the alraune seed. The Emerald Grove has no mercy for the weak or injured and first Dervla and then a small squad of Thorn Guardians were sent to finish her off as her continued existence was seen as anathema. After Fleeing with Dervla and the seed she received, dwarven made prosthetics. During the attack of the serpents her projected form was destroyed along with Dervla’s. Only the bond with Dervla kept her dryas form alive and the aid of Mortis allowed the pair to awaken as a new kind of dryad.

Celylia owns and operates the Silken Wing Tailor’s Shop in Still-Leaf Village. She has what she’s sure is a secret crush on Lindel. She is also the Counselor of Commerce.

Once Dervla was a devoted follower of The Emerald Grove. That all changed when she was sent to execute Cara. Instead Dervla killed the next group of soldiers sent to kill the wounded dryad and disavowed The Emerald Grove. After taking the wounded Dryad and her charge on a winding path ending first in Stoneshield and finally Still-leaf Village The pair settled down together. When she and Cara lost their physical projections she was channeling her dryad abilities into Dervla. That allowed her to sustain Cara for the years until Mortis gave them the death magic needed to awaken as a new kind of dryad.

Drethlin was not a very popular individual. He served the Village as Guard Captain and was a devout follower of The Emerald Grove. He perished in the serpent attack and declined the opportunity to return from the grave.

Emrik is a talented engineer from Stonesheild. It was not long after finishing her apprenticeship, helping maintain the counter siege engines of a nearby fortress, when she met Aleka. The pair had a little friction but soon hit it off and became partners. Both of them spent years trying to make a name for themselves in their relative fields before Keira offered them a job and maybe a home in Still-Leaf Village.

Keira was born in the Steel Coast Archipelago. As a member of the royal family, even one outside the line of succession, she spent most of her childhood training in combat and learning from a variety of tutors. She served as an officer in the Tide Carvers before retiring from military service and joining the adventurers’ guild. After falling in battle against the Ancient Viper Matriarch she was returned from beyond the veil by Mortis. She now leads the first village of free willed undead as a death knight of Mortis.

She is also the Counselor of Defense

Mesalin was serving as a scout attached to the forces of Stoneshield when she met and later fell in love with Alasdair. When both of their services were up they decided to move to Still-Leaf Village as neither was very comfortable in the others home. She didn’t do well confined beneath the mountain and harpy villages are not intended for those who can’t fly, let alone relatively short dwarves. She runs the bar and most of the inn aspects of The Root and Bough Tavern that she owns with her husband. She alternates with her husband for the title Counselor of Hospitality.

Minira was in the process of retiring from active service to join her family in Still-Leaf Village when the village fell to serpents while she was dealing with a buildup of Cavern Spawn. Feeling like she failed her family she canceled her retirement and suppressed her emotions as best as her class would allow. With the village resurrected she has reunited with her family.

Ammolithen always appears as a muscular but largely featureless man made from living crystal that glows with swirling and shifting light.

Arctithis

Deity of Winter and Mountains

Arctithis always appears as a silhouette barely glimpsed amidst a heavy blizzard. Often supplicants who interact with them describe the silhouette as being the same race and gender as themselves.

Bathylia

Goddess of the Sea and Tide

Bathylia appears as a vast water elemental who takes on the appearance of an elven woman formed from sea water with countless sea creatures ranging from whales and krakens to little crabs and fish.

Emtharm

God of Metals and Smithing

Emtharm Appears as a metallic scaled draconic kobold, a high tier racial form of kobold. He is always within his smithy and often takes the chance to impart metal working techniques to supplicants.

Ilthianid

Serpent Deity of Venom and Healing

Ilthianid Takes the form of a mostly white serpent with dark red scales that form alchemical symbols. Sometimes she appears so small she could comfortably wind between a gnome's fingers and other times she is so large she coils around a mountain.

Karrielle

Goddess of Booze and Battle

Karrielle is one of the few deities with two equally used appearances. Half the time she appears as a dwarf clad in incredibly thick plate armor etched in runes. She carries a heavily scared tower shield in one hand and battle-axe in the other. The other half of the time she appears as a powerfully built orcish woman wearing light scouts leathers. In that form she carries either a powerful war war bow or serrated javelin, with the other weapon stored on her back.

Mortis Typically appears as a tall female figure dressed in ornate black and purple robes with a deep hood pulled up. Filling the hood is what looks like a slice of the night sky with far too many stars.

Stherin Appears as a powerfully built green lizard man dressed in the royal regalia of a long forgotten empire. Depending on which aspect best coincides with the purpose of the supplicant he either appears standing a balcony overlooking a vast city amidst a tropical rainforest, or seated on a throne in an ornate throne room lined with royal guards.

Syliantha

Goddess of Magic and Scholars

Syliantha appears as a merfolk woman with a leviathan sea serpent tail swimming among a vast coral reef. She dresses in the traditional tight jacket like turtle shell reinforced shark skin robe favored by mages among merfolk. Her hair is greenish blue that extends to about the middle of her shoulder blades and is typically seen in a simple braid held in place with coral clasps.

Synteth

Goddess of Honor and Honesty

Synteth appears in the form of a gorgon dressed in the garb of a simple guard. She carries only a plain unadorned spear. Despite her unassuming garb her smile is genuine and kind and there is unwavering steel in her gaze. It has often been said that it is impossible to even think of a lie in her presence.

The Emerald Grove

The Emerald Grove always appears as an impossibly vast clearing surrounded by mountain sized crystal trees with leaves made from blazing green mana.
