In front of me there is a floating text box. Quickly glancing around the room, I can see that everyone has a weird look on their face while looking in front of them. Even the professor is just staring at an empty space in front of her. I look back at the text box to read what it says.

The world has now been changed. Some important information you will need will be provided below.
1. There are now monsters. These monsters are dangerous and will kill you if given the chance. Pay attention to the level of the monster in order to understand how dangerous it is.
2. You now have a level. This level can increase through experience you get from killing monsters. There are other ways to gain experience but that information will not be provided at this time.
3. Monsters can come into being anywhere. The only way to stop monsters from coming into being is by being in a “Safe Zone.” These zones are only around bases.
4. A base is created through the use of a base box. A base box can be obtained by killing a Quolix. Due to the importance of a Quolix, all Quolix have a text that is Pink in order to make it easier to notice.
5. To view your health and other information, look at your left wrist.
6. Any further information desired can be found through the base obelisk.
The world has changed! But be warned. More changes are to come. The world you once knew is no more. Fight. Survive. Find people you can trust. All in this new world.
After I finished reading, I took a second to think about what I had just read. There are Monsters now? Standing up I went to the windows in the room and looked out. Being on the second floor of the building I could see a little distance. I did not need to look so far since there were five rat like creatures down below me. Above four of them it read. Level 1 Lep in white text. The fifth was not a level 1 but instead a level 2. The Lep were brown and looked like rats but have orange strips on their bodies. Their tails are also green. They are as large as a house cat.
“What do you see?” I heard from behind.
“Monsters” I said.
“What!” Said a female voice.
Then some people came up to the windows and looked at the Lep.
“Shit” said a guy.
“What the hell is going on?” said another.
Everyone started talking at once. I started to walk to the door after a thought had occurred to me. If monsters were now real, things would start to get ugly. I had best get ready for that. I stopped and turned around grabbed my backpack and other items then left the room. While walking down the hallway I head a woman say “Wait!”
I turned around and saw Bridget Day from my class. She walks up to me and looks me in the eyes. Looking at her she has light brown hair and dark brown eyes. Her height would be about 5’4.
“Where are you going?” she asked.
“To my car.” I answered.
“And then?” she asked.
I thought about how to answer her. Looking at the confusion and fear on her face I decided how to answer. Being blunt would probably help her realize the situation we were all going to be dealing with.
“The world has changed. Things are going to get ugly. Society will break down and we will need to fend for ourselves. I am going to go get supplies before other people start looting them first.” I answered.
She looked at me thinking about what I had said. Then she said “Alright let’s get my boyfriend and go.”
“Where is he?”
“I will text him and find out.”
She then pulled out her phone and started texting. Then looked up at me and said “down stairs in room 108.

“Tell him to meet us at the front entrance.”
“Alright.”
She started texting and we started to make our way to the front entrance. Having her boyfriend help would mean a larger group for protection and faster at getting supplies. After getting to the entrance, we waited for about 20 seconds before a man ran up to us. He has dusty brown hair with hazel eyes. His height is about 6’7. Whereas my height is only at 6 feet tall. Unlike me he has well defined muscles clearly from working out.
“I am going to get in my car and head down the road to the sports and outdoors store. We can get heavy duty clothing and other things we will need. After that we can decide where to go next.” I spoke.
“Should we take the same car?” the man asked.
After thinking about it I respawned with “No, we can carry more with two vehicles. You know the store I am going to, correct?”
“Yeah” they both say.
“Good let’s go.”
After getting in my car, I head to the store parking lot. After arriving and getting out of my car Bridget and her boyfriend arrived. The man said “My name is Vince. Do you have enough money to buy everything?”
“Buy? We are just going to take it. Society is going to fall apart. The looting is going to begin when people realize this. We are just getting ahead of the pack. When in the store get backpacks and fill them with clothing. Some lightweight clothing and also some heavy-duty clothing. Anything else you see that you think would help us survive in the wild, take it. When you have too much to carry, bring it to the cars and put it in them then go back in for more. Avoid any conflict but do not let anyone push you around. Ignore any employees that might try to stop you. They will realize soon enough the situation. Also don’t worry about size for clothing. Better to have clothing even if it does not fit than to not have any at all.” I tell him.
We all then went into the store. I went and got things like tents and coolers. After taking my stuff to my car I looked around. There were some more of those leps but there were not too many. I realized we would need weapons after looking at them. If monsters were going to try to kill us, we would need to defend ourselves. I head back inside and start looking for things to use as weapons. After searching I found some machetes inside a glass case. Problem is how to get them. The employees seem to have either ran off or are too busy on their phone to care what I am doing. I need something to break this glass. After searching I found some golf clubs. Taking one I used it to break the glass case. The sound of the breaking glass made and employee come over to me. Looking at me with the golf club in hand he turned around and just walked away. He must have figured it was not worth trying to stop me.
I reach in and start taking out the machetes. I then feel a sharp pain on my right arm. I look at my right arm and see blood. “Fuck!” I yell. Ignoring the cut I get the rest of the machetes out. Then I remember the text box and it saying that I can see my health if I look at my left wrist. Looking at my left wrist a box pops up and floats above my wrist. It says that my health is now 95/100. I felt a chill go down my spine as it hit me that I may get killed. Shoving that thought out of my head I head back to my car.
Vince and Bridget were already there. They got a lot of clothing and backpacks. Vince looks at me and then asks “Now what?”
“We will need to still get more supplies such as food. Vince, you and Bridget go to the grocery store across the street and start filling your car with food. Make sure you get bottled water as well. I will start going through the shoe store next to the sports store. What are your shoe sizes?”
“Mens 12.”
“8.5”
“Alright come back here after you have the food and water. Also, here.”
I hand them each a machete. There are monsters now, best be prepared. They both get in their car and left. I head into the shoe store and get a bunch of shoes and boots. A little bit later Vince and Bridget return. I then grab the two gas cans I got earlier and hand them to Vince. “You go fill these up with gas from the gas station. Me and Bridget will get stuff from the drug store.”
Vince looked at me thinking for a few seconds then said “Fine. Anything else I should get at the gas station?”
“No.”
Vince then left. Bridget and I went into the drug store. After walking around taking different items I come across the condoms. I have no idea how long condoms are good for. Probably smart to grab them all. With Bridget and Vince around these will probably be used. I thought to myself. Then a thought stuck me. Will they stay around? They might head off to do their own thing. Then Bridget came up to me and looked at the condoms I was looking at. “I will not be having sex with you. DO NOT get any weird ideas.” She said in a low and dangerous voice while glaring at me.
Realizing how this probably does look creepy to her I then say in an exasperated voice “I was going to get them for you and Vince. After all, with shit hitting the fan these will start to become harder and harder to get. Grabbing them now would be best. Unless you are either not going to have sex with Vince or are willing to risk getting pregnant.”
Bridget looked at me and the condoms then snorted after a little bit then said “Yeah I sure as hell am not going to become a nun now.” She then started grabbing the condoms and putting them into a backpack. I can tell she is still a warry of me. To be fair I can see why she would be but I still find it a little annoying. She then left the store. I start walking out after her until I see the clerk looking at me with fear. I was confused by the fear till I realized I was holding a machete. I realized I must look very threatening to him. Just like I had earlier with the gold club in the sports and outdoors store. Letting out a sigh. Things were not going to get better from here on out were they I thought to myself.
