The world of mine
School days: 2

School days: 2

In the center of the great hall, on the stone floor, was a heap of unusual objects. From wooden windmills, buckets of water, wax candles to stone pots with plants. They were part of the basic magic exam prepared by Dini. A large group of students ranging in age from 9 to 12 were lined up in front of them.

"Come on Eisa, don't panic, it's okay, it's not really happening, it's just a dream, you'll wake up soon." Eisa repeated to herself, looking behind her, trying to spot anything that would confirm her theories.

“Ew, who let that animal in here?” Emily said.

Emili was the daughter of a wealthy merchant; she considered herself better than the rest of the students due to her wealth, only a small number of students were considered by her to be worth her precious time, Emili disliked the beastmen very much, not because they once helped the empire defeat Morit, but because of her father's opinion of the superiority of the human race over others. Only a week ago, she had glued Taru's fur to a chair with the help of some students who wanted to please her. Even up to now, Taru had bald spots in several places. Professor Urad, of course, ignored any complaints saying it was just child's play between the students, allowing Emily to do whatever she wanted as long as her father didn't bother him. Emily's father came from a wealthy merchant house, and the new war with the empire made him even richer.

Eisa thought that if she were to test her theory, Emili would be the perfect test subject for her. Eisa waited for Emila's turn, then took a deep breath, imagining a blank sheet of paper in front of her, on which words taken from her thoughts slowly appeared. It wasn't the ideal way to use her abilities, but it was a way she felt familiar. Suddenly one of the boys called out.

“Ew, Emili, the water test is over.” Pointing at the wet spot on Emily's pants; all the students who didn't like her burst out laughing including Eisa. Emili ran out of the room followed by Dini.

Dini tried to control the situation by leaving the other students in the room. After 20 minutes, Dini returned with Emili who couldn't look up from the floor, her pants having been dried with Dini's magic.

“Wow, it worked.” Eisa thought. “But what now? I confirmed the existence of my power. I have some time to think it over. I'd like to enjoy it a bit, what about the whole dragon queen thing? I'm afraid, I have tremendous power and the slightest mistake can be catastrophic. I must admit, such power has always been something I dreamed of, but I have time to make decisions step by step. For very difficult decisions."

The practical part of the exam ended 20 minutes ago, Eisa used her newfound skills to keep up with the rest of the students. She had to dismiss Taru because he wanted to walk her home and she wanted to test her skills.

Eisa walked outside the city limits, making sure she was alone, took a few breaths, then started freaking out.

"The whole damn world is a figment of my imagination, my family, friends and maybe even I myself do not exist" Eisa thought without taking her eyes off the sky.

“And on top of that, this world is riddled with conflict, forcing its inhabitants to suffer senselessly, all because I wanted an interesting world.”

After a long moment, Eisa made her decision. “Fuck it. For me, my family, my friends, and this imaginary world matters, this is my new life, and I decide what's real and what's not."

Eisa lay down on the grass and looked at the sky. “Okay, time to start the first test.”

She stretched her hand toward the sky, imagining the blank sheet of paper again. And in the sky, one of the clouds began to change its shape and color, turning into a pink unicorn-shaped cloud.

“Test one completed.” Eisa thought, maybe in her former life she would have chosen something else as her test, but not in this one. “Henry died a long time ago. I'll be what he could only dream of being. Myself."

"Test two." Eisa changed her clothes into a purple jacket with a bow and comfy pants. “No problems so far, I didn't describe the appearance of the clothes, but I got what I wanted, so the test was successful. I should go home so they don't worry." Eisa changed her clothes back and headed home.

Eisa waited until it got dark and then, with the help of a mirror and her skill, she drew her reflection. Eisa stared at her copy, and the copy did the same. It wasn't easy for Eisa, she planned to leave her family leaving behind her doppelgänger and the inexplicable growth of gold coins in her family cache.

Eisa left her house heading to the shop belonging to Taru's sister, where she got inside with her skills. It was an alchemy shop with various herbs and potions on the shelves. Eisa decided to leave a large sum of gold coins in the back room and left. It was a way of saying goodbye to Taru even though he and her family wouldn't even realize she was gone. "I guess I've never been good at goodbyes." Eisa thought, one tear rolled down her cheek.

"I love you all, but it's time for me."
