The "war in heaven" happened 3,000 years ago. According to the records of the "holy kingdom" (which are ambiguous) it was started by wild dragons or false gods who intended to destroy the entire world.

“False gods? Filthy dragons? Plain lies." said a distant voice, throwing the book into the fire.

"I'll tell you a true story."

Alyssa watched as a group of children approached the fire. She took a cup of hot tea and sat down by the fire waiting for everyone to gather.

“Listen carefully, this story was told to me by my father and your uncle.” She said getting curious looks from the children.

"Let's start at the beginning, long, long ago, before there was a "war in heaven" There was a division between the gods, some who were completely absorbed in playing with mortal lives, were deaf to the unsettling behavior of some gods, gods later known as "false" or " bad"..."

One of the children threw another book into the fire to keep it alive, looking at the burning monastery, a remnant of their last games. The screams have thankfully stopped. The monastery belonged to the priests, whom Alyssa had described with a particularly ugly and old word. It was their stop on their way to Ex'Nazul.

Alyssa continued after a short tea break.

“The false gods got bored with mortals And demanded the destruction of all mortal races, they wanted to create everything anew to their liking. In the meantime, the proud and powerful dragons, as one of the few races, opposed the gods, unwilling to be ruled by beings that they thought were not so great. The dragon queen Ri'Dra, already alive for thousands of years, as the oldest and most powerful of the dragons, declared a war on the gods that lasted 40 years."

Part of the cloister's roof collapsed as it fell in, burying part of the burning library, giving Alyssa another short break to finish her tea. After everyone lost interest in the monastery, she went back to her story.

“At the beginning of the war, the gods had a great advantage, not only in skill, but also in great power over most of the mortal races, giving them the greatest armies in the world. All would have been lost, but fortunately for the dragons, the evil gods took advantage of the ongoing war to betray their play-blinded brethren, turning a 2 armies war into a 3 armies war. 20 years after the beginning of the war, the gods made an alliance with the dragons to defeat a greater evil. The pantheon of "good" gods and the army of dragons faced the evil gods. Mortals divided between good, evil and dragons fought fierce battles on the ground while dragons and gods fought in a distant land of gods high above the clouds of "Calibrum of Souls."

“What is “Calibrum of Souls?” Melani, the girl with red hair, asked.

"Calibrum of Souls is a land where everything that exists, has existed or will exist exists, and that's where the souls of the dead go when they are liberated" Alyssa replied, enjoying the children's curiosity about their heritage. Alyssa went back to the story.

“When, after many victorious fights, the good gods were sure of victory, they decided to use the moment of vulnerability of the dragons to save themselves the trouble of finishing them later, but not everything went according to the gods' plan, which led to the evil gods fleeing. And they themselves experienced a grueling battle with the dragons, without their mortal armies bloody battles ensued between them and the dragons. Many gods have fallen as well as ancient dragons; the gods sacrificed vast amounts of their power to defeat the dragons. Some of the ancient dragons too powerful to be slain by the gods were sealed and placed under mortal guard far from the land of the gods, the few dragons left without their ancient queen scattered around the world, the time has come for the "Wild Dragons" i.e. young dragons deprived of the care and knowledge of their parents, as you suppose, such dragons were quickly slain by God's chosen ones."

"And this is where we come in, descendants of the dragons." Alyssa said, greeted by loud applause from her family.

"We will show this world how great the wrath of dragons is."
